Cashel Western Trail Saddle is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Western Trail Saddle. I ordered this saddle because I was looking for a quality lightweight secure saddle since mine is becoming too heavy to lift. It fit those requirements however it did not work well on my horse ( quarter horse with low withers) It had too much side to side movement that I couldn't keep secure and I didn't like that the stirrups were not pre-turned. I was also disappointed that the flocking was not thicker. However, it was nice looking and well constructed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great trail saddle! I purchased this saddle after researching almost every other brand for about six months. I was looking for a lighter trail saddle that had a narrow twist for my comfort and correct bar shape for my horse. I ordered the 16" reg tree as a test ride saddle and ended up keeping it. The seat runs about 1/2" smaller than most, possibly due to the extra padding. Also, the reg tree is quite wide, so I would not order wide unless your horse is mutton withered or part draft. My horse is 16 hand app nicely built, but with prominent withers, so it sunk down behind her shoulders until I used it with a correction pad with padding in that area. Problem solved and both of us are very happy. This is a well built saddle with a wood tree, so I plan on it lasting me 20 years or more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like this saddle This saddle is working out great for my horse. He needs a regular tree to fit his back but other saddles I've tried pinch his shoulders. The Cashel saddle give him room in the shoulders. The rigging options make it possible to get the cinch in the right place. I've also found that my leg hangs naturally in the correct position with this saddle.I'm a fan!I also want to thank Smart Pak for the great service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality built saddle I purchased this saddle for a wide Quarter mare and it fit her wonderfully, however it was to wide for me in the seat bed or twist. I require a narrow ladies seat and this seat is a regular width suitable for any rider. So, I sadly returned it with out any hassles. Customer service was great, sent a printable return label and I had my UPS driver pack it up. Quick and easy return.I wish this saddle would have worked out for me. It is very well made and I really liked the lightweight design and details Cashel put into this saddle. Loved the adjustable cinching options. I wish more saddle makers included this feature. I would still recommend this saddle to my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent saddle, especially at this price! I own an older model of this saddle, made before they added the adjustable rigging. It has been a great saddle for me, and has fit my horses exceptionally well. The short skirt is great on short-backed horses and the light weight is nice for ease of tacking, and for the horse on long rides. I have ridden this saddle for 4-5 hour trail rides at varying speeds and terrain with no soreness for me or my horse. This saddle allows the rider to sit in a balanced position, on the flat or tackling tough terrain, without forcing you into the dreaded western "chair seat". The leather is high quality, no squeaking and the workmanship is top notch. I disliked the tinybarrel stirrups, but those were easy to replace. This saddle is a great investment for someone needing a comfortable, balanced, everyday saddle for arena or trail!
