Not what they used to be
Very disappointed. Been using on all my horses for 5+ years. Just received 5 new masks and the first day the stitching that holds the velcro to the mask came unstitched on 3 masks. 2days later, the remaining 2 have ripped around the ears.

Ended my boys head tossing!
Best thing I’ve bought besides a saddle. Literally ended the head tossing from flies bugging my gelding! Amazing! Just ordered 4 more for my other horses!

Love this mask
I use this mask everytime I ride in the summer, keeps the bugs off the face and out of the ears so we can focus on training.

Light weight fly mask
I bought this for my elderly QH gelding who is losing his eyesight. I feel like it’s easier for him to see through than traditional fly masks. I use it on him for turnout even though it’s for riding. After a couple weeks, it’s holding up well. Bought one for him last year and it made through the season.

The Best
I have only used Cashel flymasks for as long as I can remember. They fit my horse well (cob size.)

Fits Great
Perhaps ironically I bought this mask and the Cashel turnout mask with ears and nose in the same size. This mask fits my horse great while the strap under the jaw is too short on the turnout mask.

Great for horses that hate flys
I have an older one eyed horse that hates flys. Riding him during buggy seasons is not always pleasant. Lots of head tossing. However, the cashew quiet ride fly mask with ears has made a dramatic difference for my guy. Flys are no longer an issue. Also since he has one eye, I use this when I ride on windy days to protect his remaining eye.

Good fly mask for riding
I've been using this fly mask (with ears) on both of my horses for lunging and riding. So far I'm very impressed. It is effective at keeping flies and gnats away from their eyes and ears so they are less inclined to toss their heads when I'm trying to have a productive training session. There seems to be no impairment of their vision and, in fact, I think they can see better through this fly mask than the masks that I use for turnout. The material is durable and easy to rinse clean but I would not use this fly mask for turnout as my 2 horses would certainly rub it on something harsh and tear it. I only bought 1 since I wasn't sure of the size. The horse size adjusts to fit both my draft cross gelding (large head) and my smaller Lusitano mare. If I splurge and get a second one for next summer, I'll buy the horse size again.

Mixed feelings
I really like the quality of the masks, but all 3 horses had them off within hours. The horses were all fine with me putting them on and didn't seem to mind them at all but I guess just rubbing their faces on their legs took the masks right off.

No more head shakes
It works great for my horse on the trails. He would shake the entire time we were out but now that has been reduced greatly. He doesn't mind having it on his ears either and did not freak out when I first put it on.

LOVE IT!
Amazing quality! Does exactly what it's supposed to and is really lightweight and breathable. Fits just like the cashel fly mask on my girl

Odd fit, didn't work for my horses
I love the Cashel flymasks- the only one I will use because they last forever AND you can pull the mane through them. I have Morgans so that is super important. My guys all wear the small horse size but the Quiet Ride version is way too short and rides up under their eyes and the forelock hole is way high between their ears. Thanks so SmartPak's super return policy I was able to return.

Works, fits and looks great!
I bought this for my mare to ride in since she's sensitive to flies. It's definitely designed more for riding than for turnout. I love how much room there is for the eyes, so it won't brush against her eyes when the bridle shifts a little. I put it over my bridle instead of under because it seems to fit a little better that way.

Over-rated
Pros: easier to see through than most, size runs true except for ears, single velcro
Cons: ears too big and made of the same fabric that has torn on all my old fly masks, mesh is flimsy and eye darts are skimpy, so mesh presses over my horse's eyes.

Perfect Mask for Riding
My horse is having eye issues right now and keeping the flies off them is imperative. This mask fits the bill.
However, I will say that I do not know why SmartPak discontinued the Roma Stretch Bug Eye Saver with Ears fly mask. It is an awesome fly mask.

Great Fly Mask for Riding
This has to be the best fly mask for riding. Not thick over the eyes like normal fly masks thin so they can see. Kept my horse happy on the trail.

Great for riding, not for turnout
This mask is lightweight and would be a good option for a horse that needs a mask for riding. Not durable enough for turning out in.

Fantastic!
The bugs really bother my gelding and were constantly interrupting our ride for him trying to get the bugs off. He seems so much happier and calmer wearing the mask. Its well made and seems comfortable. Just as a note it seems to run slightly smaller than the turnout masks.

Too small for big-headed warmblood
I ordered this to ride with during fly season. The mesh is clear enough for my horse to see through. I ordered the warmblood size, but it is too small. The fabric does not meet under his chin and it does not cover much of his nose.

Quality fly mask
My horse had facial surgery last year and needs a fly mask that protects her fistulas. This fly mask covers it nicely. She does not ordinarily rub it off.

Lightweight, not durable
This mask is ok for riding, fits well over tack and it pretty transparent while still providing protection. My complaint is that it only lasted a week before it had a few holes in it. I will be returning this product and opting for the thicker fly masks that hold up to regular wear and tear!
