Where has this been?
I have been looking at these for a while. I have a horse that has sensitive skin she does not like to be brushed or combed on her face or legs. So I decided to give this thing a tray. And all I can say about it is wow. It actually does what it claims to do. It pulls the dirt up from skin, it helps with shedding, I can use the small side to groom her legs, the face, the underside of her jaw, and up by her ears. It does take the hair off of cinches and saddle pads. My horse is actually enjoying grooming for the first time. My goal is to get two more, One for each horse trailer and one for the tack room. I would highly recommend these.

Best Curry I’ve ever Used!
This curry is so versatile, but my favorite thing to use it for is getting poultice off my horse’s legs. Because of the bendy rubber material, it is super easy to get all of the hard to curry places on the legs and really does a great job removing the poultice. I also love that while I’m doing that, it has added therapeutic benefits like helping to increase blood circulation and warming the muscles and tissues. I also love how effective this groomer is at removing dust and hair. It also works great for scrubbing during baths. It is super easy to clean the poultice, mud/dirt and hair off of, I just wash it in the sink with soap and water.

Good All-in-One
This is a good product. The firm yet flexible material of the groomer and the one side that has the finer texture is ideal for sensitive areas like above the fetlocks. Probably good for the face, too but, because of the size of the groomer itself, I prefer to use the small disk face scrubby. The groomer has many sides/angles to it that all have a purpose so, it is a good all-in-one for grooming, cleaning, scraping and squeegy-ing. However, I find I use in in conjunction with a hand-jelly. Can't beat a "jelly". The nubs on both sides in two different widths ideally massage my horse's skin and loosen the dead hair and then the other side collects the dirt and hair it in an easy clump to peel off the jell and then toss.

If your horse doesn’t shed easily, this won’t help
My mare sheds so slowly, and also doesn’t care much for grooming, so I was hoping this product would help both of my problems. I think if you have an easy shedder who is sensitive, this may work for you, but it isn’t a more effective tool for removing hair than anything else I’ve tried.

This is the best grooming tool ever!
I have debated for months on buying this... I couldn't figure out how it could be much different from a curry brush. I finally bought it and now I can clear out my brush box. This brush does everything and I love it. This is the best grooming tool I have tried. It is easy for me to grip, and removes quite a bit of dirt, dander, and hair. Because of its flexibility, I can use it on most of my horse's body without bothering him. It works amazing as a bathing tool as well.
My barn mates were so impressed with this product that many of them purchased the Betty's Best StripHair® Gentle Groomer™ for their horses, too!
It is a multi-functioning tool. You can use it to bathe, shed, curry, and massage your horse. It benefits the muscles by massaging and promoting blood circulation. My horse has never been shinier.

Does the job
My horse is very sensitive to even the lightest currying (when I have to do it). This Gentle Groomer works really well and he doesn't mind it in the least. I found out about it after SEVERAL others in the barn purchased it and were really impressed with this product.

Great Brush
I bought this and I was skeptical but my horses really seem to enjoy it. It is a little harder to use on certain areas but it does take the place of almost all of your brushes and sweat scrapper. It also works fantastic as a scrubber for sweat marks when you are rinsing them. Since, it takes the place of so many brushes and it really cleans well, I def think it’s worth the money.

My horse LOVES it!
My TB loves the StripHair. He has kissing spines and has always found grooming painful and stress inducing. I have spent so much money serching for grooming equipment that is gentle enough for him, I wish I had started with the StripHair. When he is groomed with any other curry or brush, he paws, kicks-out, strikes and bites. With the StripHair, he stands quietly and relaxes his muscles and even licks and chews. It makes me so happy he can enjoy grooming now, I will never use anything else. Definitely recommend for sensitive horses.

Best grooming tool ever!!!
I was somewhat skeptical, but hopeful who’s tool would live up to it’s hype. I have to say, it works even better than I expected!!! It is an excellent at shedding out (I got piles of hair off my horse), and it does a great job of grooming as well. My sensitive TB doesn’t mind it at all. I passed it around the bar and everyone who used it agreed it was great!!

First of all I am very happy with the fact that it is flexible vs all of the old school varieties of either, metal, hard plastic or combination of both. Works great during shedding season.
Helps when working those bony areas of lower legs and face. Double sided curry action is great. Definitely recommend for your grooming kit.

This tool is very comfortable in your hand. It gets right down into the coat and lifts the dirt/mud to the surface. Just when you think you're done, you can use it on their faces without them pulling away. Lacey and all the other horses at the barn love it. Even the dogs, cat and goats enjoy it.

Great tool overall!
This is a great tool overall. I find it works best when you use both hands to keep even pressure. I’ve seem very mixed reviews on this tool and was skeptical to try it, but I’m glad I did. I think it will work nicely when bathing during the warmer months and is a great tool for those sensitive areas on the body! So far we are still working on shedding out here in the Midwest. I’d recommend it as a great extra tool for your grooming box. My only complaint would be the price is a little steep in my opinion for what it is.

Not as great as it seems
I bought this because of all the good reviews. But I was very disappointed when using it. It didn't actually do anything. My deshedding blade got four times as much hair out as the striphair did. It removed mud well but so does my $2 curry comb. It wasn't able to remove any hair off my horse's legs. I also found a created a lot of static. Overall not happy. Waste of money

Great tool for shedding season
I bought this to deal with shedding and it is great for moving loose hair. I would not say that this product replaces a curry comb. I did not feel like the StripHair lifted the coat as well as a curry comb to get air circulating in the coat and to lift skin-level dirt. That said, it is flexible and lets me get to loose hair in small places (under the armpits and just under the jaw line). The edge is fantastic for getting hair and some dirt, just not deep down dirt. So, I alternate using the StripHair every other day but it has been a great tool for handling shedding.

Awesome groomer
I use this on my clipped horse. It still pulls up the fuzzies they get at the end of winter, and also does a fantastic job on the legs and face.
FWIW, the rubber smells like vanilla :)

Great Shedding Tool
I’m very happy I added this to my grooming box. It works great at removing hair and sand from the coat. I use it to shampoo too. My only complaint is it can be hard to hold onto and I tend to drop it a lot.

The trial run for this was getting dried mud off my gelding's coat. It really excelled in getting mud off his legs! Looking forward to seeing how well it works in shedding season and bath time.

Favorite Grooming Tool!
I bought this over a year ago for my horses not exactly believing the therapeutic benefits it comes with, but it works SO well! I can tell the difference of my horses’ performance while riding when I use the groomer. They are much more relaxed and comfortable than if I use regular brushes. The groomer also has no problem getting rid of any dirt or mud. One of my horses is a cremello and boy does it work well cleaning her off! Everyone knows how dirty anything white gets...the groomer is a lifesaver! It’s hands down my favorite grooming tool which I will always keep around! I love it so much that now I gift it to my friends who don’t have it! They love it too!

I like to buy US made from small companies when I can. I purchased this to get fine dust that seems never ending from my horse’s winter coat. I don’t think it did a great job for that or caked on mud from winter coats. I considered returning it but then tried it on my beagle. It works great to shed her! Now I think it will be more effective on summer coats. So I didn’t get what I was looking for but still a useful brush.
