Good product
I was a little skeptical about getting the product considering the cost. I did get in on sale and I do actually like the product. My horse loves it too. I groom my horse daily and am still getting a good amount of loose hair off my horse. I love how I can use the product everywhere.

I am a brand new horse owner of a young horse that is new to being a pet. Originally, grooming him by myself was next to impossible as he did not want to tolerate the curry brush or any brush; he kept dancing around. Then I bought this product and all the problems went away!

At first I was iffy on the price of a Strip Hair however after using one from a friend I was blown away and decided to purchase my own, not only has it been worth the money, my horse loves it, several different uses out of the Strip Hair, easy to store comes with a cute little storage bag, I don’t have to pull hair out of the Brush like several others! my strip hair has helped take off mud fungus that my horse has had on its legs for well over six months, as long as a heavy winter coat that refuse to let go ! Easy to use on hocks, face and flank area! We also use them to clean the hair off of our riding blankets! It’s amazing for such a job! Our barn was so impressed with this product that all five of us made our own purchases for one ! I was not disappointed and the packaging it’s truly beautiful, from product, packaging shipping and customer service nothing has been disappointing! Five stars all the way around.

Worth $40? no. Worth $25? YES!
Grooming for my horse and I isn't the best experience, He doesn't like being curried in sensitive areas. I figured I would buy this based on reviews. I have to say I was a little skeptical, but it ended up being a good product. It is as advertised. It is soft, bendable and sheds the hair off. So far horse has enjoyed his grooming sessions a little bit better. I think this product is a good alternative to other products out there. It does NOT get hair off better than a blade or a shedding block. It does not 'brush' away dirt better than a bristle brush. I believe this is a good alternative, but the $40 price point is ridiculous. Is it worth it? I personally think it is case by case... Would I recommend it for everybody? No. Would I recommend it if horse tries to turn around and bite/nip you and isn't enjoying themselves, yes!

Great little groomer
I bought one of these and liked it so much, I got a second. It’s gentle enough for the face and legs but still does a good job on the body. It’s more like an everyday curry in my opinion.

It does what it says
I especially like the way it strips off old hair on the lower legs and onto the hoof. We have had a muddy spring and it sheds off that mud on the hoof wall without having to use a hard edge to pry off dried mud. I like that. My horses dont object to this tool at all.

A friend introduced me to this recently and I had to buy my own. My Super-sensitive OTTB doesn’t fuss when I use it, it gets a ton of hair off, and works great on sensitive and hard to reach areas.

Save your money.
Normally I try and only post positive reviews but I have to say that this product was a complete waste of money for me. One of my horses acts almost scared of it, the other was shedding like crazy and this thing didn't hardly do anything for it! I tried holding it all certain types of ways bc I really wanted to love it since I paid so much for it but it just didn't do the job.
I will be sticking with my old faithful round curry comb and all the little round "hair cakes" it makes during shedding season. In this case, for me, old school beats new school by a country mile!

I do not understand any negative reviews for this simple, sleek and easy to use grooming tool! Except maybe the price being a little high. After using it once I don’t mind that I payed $40 for it. It is the first tool I grab when it’s time to groom my horse. It always gets the hair and dirt out better than anything else. When it’s time to clean my brushes out. All the StripHair needs is a quick rinse with water and soap. I have not noticed any unusual/unpleasant smell with mine. I absolutely love it! Highly recommend.

Best Groomer Ever
I bought the red gentle Strip Hair to use on my do keys and cats. This groomer looks like a simple bar but really removes dirt and shed hair as it claims to do. Easy to rinse off and did not make dust like hard to clean brushes. This is one of those "WOW" purchases.

Bought this for my thin skinned horse who sheds out slowly. I find it works best on his legs. I have not produced handfuls of loose hair, but the legs look smoother and much better

Easy to use!
I have used this tool twice and I am obsessed with it! I recently adopted a 24 year old OTTB who is working on gaining weight. Since he is currently underweight he is rather bony along his ribs and back. He didn’t seem to be comfortable when I used a curry or rake. I won’t say that he loves being groomed yet, but I’m happy that he definitely is not uncomfortable now. It gets so much hair and dirt off of him! And I love tihat I can use it in any part of his body. I can scrape off dried salt (sweat) caked in dirt, and shed hear all with one tool. And this is much easier to use then a comb. I tried it once on my dog and he LOVED it. Almost when into a trance. I guess I will have to get a second one to keep at home for him!

BEST GROOMING TOOL EVER!
Forget a shedding blade, a brush, a sweat scraper; Stop worrying about being COVERED from head to toe in horse hair and dander! Clean your saddle pads prior to putting them into your laundry (your mom will thank you) ...The StripHair does it all. My head-shy horse LOVED having his ears groomed with the StripHair ...so much so, he was almost purring!

Works great
Saw this last year and put off buying it because it’s so expensive for essentially a piece of rubber but I decided to try it. It works great and gets so much hair so easily. I have multiple different tools for shedding but this is probably my favorite. The best thing about this tool is that dirt doesn’t get stuck to it and prevent hair from being removed like metal shedding blades. Also nice that you don’t have to stop every few brushes to remove hair from it like regular rubber currys. Would buy again

Wow, too excited
At first I thought it may have been a waste of money. But then I started to use it correctly ha ha and it turned out to be amazing. I think this thing was pulling hair from the other side of my horse! It’s wonderful and worth the money just please give yourself a chance to use it correctly before leaving an ugly review.

What a waste of $40
I do not get the positive reviews on this product. I love grooming and I love grooming tools (you should see my grooming box!), but the StripHair is worse than worthless.
First, it smells AWFUL. It's like bringing a chunk of a used car tire into your home, car, tack room, wherever. It stinks up wherever it is.
Second, there is just no comfortable way to hold the StripHair. To use it at a 45-degree angle as instructed, I have to grip it sort of sideways, and it's so narrow that my hand rapidly cramps up. Mind you, I groom vigorously for about an hour a day; my grooming muscles are in good shape. This is just badly designed.
Third, even in damp weather it created a ton of static and shocked the heck out of me and my horse. I have a lovely OTTB who adores being groomed but reacts rather dramatically to being shocked. You can largely negate this problem by holding a dryer sheet with the rubber strip, but that makes it even harder to hold on to.
I would put up with those flaws (albeit reluctantly) if the StripHair were effective, but holy guacamole, this is perhaps the most useless grooming tool I've ever bought. It is good at ONE thing, and that's scrubbing away caked-on mud. But it's no better at that one thing than a cactus cloth, or a rubber curry comb, or a pair of Hands On gloves.
For removing dirt and hair? Nope: I get next to nothing off my horse when I use this, and he is unclipped and in full-on shedding mode. I've tried using the StripHair first; I've tried using it after a curry comb or Hands On gloves or a Posture Prep curry; I've tried using it at every angle I can come up with. It is simply not effective.
I also tried it on two dogs and had similar non-results with both – except that it shocked both of them.
Save your money. Or if you really want to spend $40, go buy yourself TWO pairs of Hands On gloves. This product is a piece of junk.

My favorite shedding tool
I've tried the Equigroomer, the Sleek EZ, traditional shedding blades, and the Strip Hair is my favorite of all of them. I don't worry about blades getting dull like with the other kinds and the StripHair is gentle enough to use on face and legs without irritating my horse. And it just plain does its job as a shedding tool really well.

Throw your brushes away
I've fallen in love! This is by far the best grooming tool on the market. It's perfect on my sensitive QH! It has taken all the hair off my wooly mammoth of a pony. It's also worked wonders on my stiff older boy by using it as a massage tool. I love that it fits in my pocket and its perfect for my saddle bags. I'm actually ordering a second one to keep in my trailer it will be perfect for days when we swim! It's a brush and water scraper all in one.
