Best work and hiking boots I’ve owned

I have wide feet and these boots fit great even in the regular size. They are good working boots and also hiking boots. They keep my feet dry. Would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Definitely recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As usual, Ariat boots outperform all others! Bought these specifically for harvesting muscadine grapes during the month of August in southwest Georgia. Others told me I'd have to wear rubber boots to keep my feet dry in the mornings and to keep all the bugs out - I listened to them for a week before I got tired of the rubber boots and switched back to these. I should have worn them all along! My feet were dry and insect-free, and were not super sore after hours standing in the heat (they're always a little bit sore, but way less so with Ariat). Definitely recommend!

Decent boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to break in, but the sizing seems a bit off, mostly in the ankle area. I have to use up nearly all of the space from the laces to try to tighten it enough around my ankles. Otherwise comfortable, though last time I had a pair like this, they did not hold up too long term. I'm hoping this problem has been fixed.

Great Comfortable Boot!

My old standbys
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of waterproof Terrains. My first pair has been well loved for over 10 years. I fact, I’m still using them after just recently re-gluing the toe. Still waterproof. But they are beat up so I got a pretty new pair to wear on appropriate occasions. So far so good. I haven’t put them to the extreme test like my first pair. I’ll let you know in a few years. Love these boots. Great support, comfy and so far my experience is that they hold up well. True to size.

The very best!!
The best boot ever is how I would describe it. It is waterproof. I wear them in all sorts of weather and they keep my feet dry. They are also very sturdy. I am very hard on my shoes and these stand up to the rigors of horses and dogs.

No Longer a Big Fan....
I have been wearing Ariat Terrains for probably a decade. I remember when almost everyone I knew wore them -- I would look around at a campfire, and probably 85% of people were wearing Terrains. Over the last few years, I've increasingly heard people saying they no longer last as well. Now I find I have to agree. I purchased a pair in April, and they are already coming apart. And I probably have only worn them for 10 hours a week during that time. I remember when I could get over two years out of them, and that's when I was in the barn all day every day. Sorry, Ariat, but you need to work on your quality control!

Love these boots
Love These Waterproof boots. Had them for three years. They get hard use in the Dairy Barn around cows and in the milk Room washing equipment. Very comfortable and light weight. Wear them all day long for 4am until I go to bed at night. I had muck boots but they just don't last.
I also have bunions and these were very comfortable to wear all day on my feet.
Getting another pair to wear for good around town when shopping.

Great boot just not durable
I am a loyal Ariat customer and have been impressed with all products but these boots are not good. I do landscaping and these boots only last 2 months for me. My feet hurt when I’m wearing a shoe that is worn out so this is how I know these boot are ready for the trash. They are waterproof and was very impressed with that! I do love the look and color of them also, just not impressed with the durability. Wish they came in a bigger size too

Great boot!
Waterproof! Kept my feet dry while I mucked stalls and walked through puddles etc. Weird thing is I am usually a size 6.5 in shoes (including Ariat brand) but the 6.5 terrain boot was too long for my foot. I ended up getting a size 6 instead.

Comfortable waterproof boot for wide feet.
I have a wide forefoot with a bunion, so trying to find a comfortable shoe is difficult. It is even more difficult to find a comfortable waterproof shoe as the material often has less flexibility. I was pleased and surprised to find these boots comfortable. I typically wear a 7-7.5 wide (D) sneaker. I ended up getting these in a 6.5 wide (C). I replaced the insert with my own orthotics and there is enough room. So far they seem to keep the water out.

Great farm shoes
These passed the rest of all day rain, walking through standing water and washing horses. Dry socks and feet at the end of the day. And no more sore feet at the end of full days of managing a large horse farm.

Do not recommend
I bought these boots to use for horseback riding. They rub my ankle in the back even when I wear tall socks, and I always end up with tiny rocks in my shoes when I'm at the barn. I'm not sure how these would hold up as hiking boots if just walking up and down a driveway and in a sand area leads to rocks in the shoes. I decided to keep them and try and break them in to see if that would help, but it hasn't and its too late to return them. Ariat's quality has gone way down in the past few years unfortunately.

Great value, durable, attractive boots
I just bought my second pair of Ariat boots, at the recommendation of riding instructors as I prepare to head out to the Rockies for a week of hiking and horseback trails. I bought my first pair about a decade ago when I lived in MT, and ultimately they did get a bit shabby because I wore them so much. The riding pros out West recommended this version because they have just enough heel for horseback riding and are waterproof, improvements over the original pair. So I don't have to take separate riding boots, freeing up baggage space.
