Renamed my horse Bucky after wearing these!
The design is so flimsy it doesn't hold up on the horse's legs. It falls half way down and sometimes roles under his hooves causing him to buck. Staff won't dress him in these anymore. Only had them a little over a month. Cannot return them. A waste of money

Absolutely best boots made for horses that go out at night. Will always keep them in stock for my boy..;-)

Helpful. In keeping flies off
They don’t stay in place very well. The wire support gets out of place and annoys horse.

Great Product
They have been awesome and match my Amigo fly sheet! I have a finer built appendix QH so they are a bit big on her and slip down a little. Overall great product at a good price!

Poor durability
I've had these roughly 3 weeks and the plastic support is poking out of the left hind boot. I got them to replace my Kensington fly boots that have lasted us several years. I liked that Amigo Evolution covered down to the hoof. Unfortunately, Amigo Evolution is not sturdy and I would not rebuy or recommend them.

My horse hates them
I recently got a rescue who is a bit wary about all clothing. He's gotten used to everything else, including other boots and fly boots, and the matching Amigo sheet, but he hates these. Freaks out and starts running if I put them on him. Fortunately he'll run back to me so I can take them off. He spooks at them even when I'm not trying to put them on him.
My seasoned show horse isn't afraid of them, she just very calmly and systematically removes them strap by strap. Sometimes she pulls off her other fly boots late in the day, but these she sets to work on immediately.
Also, they are a pretty thick fabric that I imagine would get hot, but it is also rather flimsy and likely to tear easily.
I think Amigo needs to go back to the drawing board on these, and Smartpak shouldn't' be carrying them.

Horse is comfortable
My senior horse is sensitive to flies, I wanted to make sure he wasn’t stomping. I used these for 3 months and even washed them fine. They stayed up, no issues like the other reviews with holes. I did notice the bend in the wire, but that’s them contouring to the horses leg shape, so that didn’t bother me or him. No turning and stayed where I needed them. quality is nice, easy to brush off mud.

Don't hold up
I brought these to protect my horses legs after a bout of cellulitis. As the other reviews said they fit well and didn't rub but he tore them in the first few days and the wires in the back don't stay in the correct shape.

Only Good For One Season
I bought these at the start of the summer and they did not hold up at all. The wire in the back has bent out of shape and the mesh has a ton of holes in it. I will be throwing them out and buying a different brand.
