Love this super cute barn boot!!!!!!
My mom got me these boots for Christmas last year. I was really excited and loved the lace up details. I normally wear a small tall in tall boots, so most casual boots are always big in the calf for me. The laces made then adjustable and so fit perfectly! I have worn them 4-5 days a week to the barn for the last 9 months and they have worn great! They are my go to boot, I LOVE them!!!!!! I plan on ordering them in black as well.

Comfortable barn boots
I bought these in brown. Got them the first Friday in September. Good dark color. I tried them on, adjusted the laces, no problems, walked around my living room for 2 minutes, decided to keep them and took them off. The next day, I put them on and discovered that the snap on the left boot zipper protection flap stuck in the snapped position and had broken off when I took them off. Soo bummed. I sent them back and ordered another pair, hoping to get them sooner than waiting for an exchange. The new pair are backordered until October 20. Soooo bummed. I also just got the return confirmation, which is now being processed and I will get my refund at some indeterminate date someday. It takes 10 minutes to order something and weeks to confirm that the product was defective and give me back my money? What’s with that? I sure hope the new pair of boots are ok. This is all a little more aggravating than I expected from such a great company.

Sadly they really hurt
These were SO cute and had everything I was looking for. Tall height, heavy duty but not too bulky foot, and easy zip on/off. My normal size is somewhere between 7.5-8.5 depending on the shoe, but with no half sizes I ordered a size 9. The foot part fit great, I'm pretty glad I didn't get the 8 because I think it would have been a tight squeeze with how the 9 fit. My main issue was with the zipper, it poked into the back of my ankle and rubbed me pretty badly. They were extremely painful to walk in unless I was on my tippy toes. I tried lacing them a couple different ways and with thin and thick socks, but could not get them to be bearable. Riding in them was ok, but I didn't buy them to be riding boots exclusively. They are soft already, so I don't think they needed to be broken in. So I sent them back, and my hunt for a solid everyday boot continues!

Nice, comfy Boots
I bought these boots after my last Smartpak boots finally died a slow death and the zipper ripped out after 3 years of daily use so I figured I would treat myself to some new boots. Smartpak discontinued that model of schooling boot, so I found the Ada Tall lace up. While I like them, I wish they were an inch or two shorter up the calf because they land right under the back of my knee and I have longer legs so someone with shorter leg bones would probably not be able to wear them comfortably which is the ONLY reason I gave these boots a 4 star. I do love the lace up option to be able to customize the calf width and they are as comfy as everyone is talking about. Yesterday, I took my young OTTB to an XC course that he had never been to and walked him all around the course which was a couple of miles for sure and the boots were comfy (although hot in Iowa summers). I will be buying these boots again.

Everything SP says they are.
I bought these 4 months ago, for the purpose of a tall boot that would not be too hot in the summertime here in Michigan. They are comfortable, didn't require but a day to break in, look great and are holding up REALLY well. These boots seriously are great for doing my farm chores, riding and working with my horses; they are great on the ground and in the saddle. They are comfortable to walk in and yet they bend really comfortably for the stirrups. I usually wear a size 38 and I ordered a size 38, so these are true to size.

Great boots!
I really like these boots. They are comfortable, but for me were true to size. They are good to wear all day. I can ride, turn out, and clean stalls with them. It's nice to not have to keep switching boots. I really like them. These boots do not need breaking in. They are great!

Ada boot ok ,nice enough to keep
I got these boots and they run short compared to a professional Brannock. shoe device,I am a nine and had to get these in 10, but thats common with boots for me these days.
The laces at foot and ankle do not really adjust and the calf leather is made for a wider mid calf than mine,but I can lace them to be comfortable in the saddle and I like the thicker sole and insole. I really like the flat position it puts my feet in , like real Andalusian boots which helps me as I have foot issues.

Perfect boot 4.5 stars!
I bought these for my trip to Europe this summer. I wanted a comfortable and casual boot. This one fits the bill perfectly. I was worried I would need to ride in them a bunch before I left, so far they are breaking in easily. Incan’t wait to saddle up these boots this summer. Another great product from Smartpak!

Super cute!
Good looking boots. Love the adjustablity of the laces. The boots are really comfortable. I read the revieves and bought the size 6 although I normally wear a 6.5. They are very roomy in the foot (almost too much) If you have a narrow foot you will need thick socks or an insole.Could be an inch taller.

These boots were made for walking! (And riding!)
Good look, nice fit and sturdy! I have average 6 miles/day in these boots and have worn them exclusively since I took them out of the box! I love them!! Break-in was easy, super comfortable and holding up to the wet PNW. I agree that they run big. I usually wear a 9.5/10 but euro 40 (size 9). Glad I went with euro size. They’re a touch bulky in the calf (zipper seam cover) and I wish they were a bit taller but they were exactly what I needed otherwise. Very happy!!

So great, I might buy a second pair!
I bought these boots last week, and not only did they get delivered to my home the day after I purchased them (which was amazing), they are absolutely awesome! The memory foam foot bed is so comfortable that I've worn them to work (in an office setting) for the last two work days and don't want to wear any other shoes to work ever again. I've also worn them to the barn for riding once so far, and found them to be very comfortable and allow my ankle to move well while riding.
Not only are they super comfortable, they look great too! I've received complements on them from horsey and non-horsey people alike, including from one person who said that she likes the aesthetics of these boots better than the Ariat lace ups that she has. I've only had these boots less than a week so far, but they have already become my favorite pair of shoes. I'm considering buying a second pair so I can have one pair for barn use and one pair for everyday wear.
They do seem to run a bit large, I'm normally a 7 to a 7.5 in women's US shoe sizes, but I ordered the 37 (6), and they fit perfectly. I'd recommend ordering a size down, which seems to be a common recommendation in the other reviews. I also could see someone having trouble with them if they have a wide calf, these boots don't appear to have a wide calf option at this time, and based on how I've played around with the laces, they don't seem like they would accommodate a wider calf very well. Overall, I love these boots and would highly recommend them to anyone who fits into regular calf size tall boots!

Attractive and versatile boot you can ride in.
For me they do run big.
Ordered an 8 but had to return to get a 7.
I am only 5'1 so was afraid they would be too tall but they are just right!
I do have long legs compared to my torso though.
They are plenty snug but you can adjust them a little via the laces.
(I usually require a short and wide Tall boot; for reference).
For walking they do rub your heel a bit because the ankle area has room for you to be able to drop your heels when riding.
You can probably layer another pair of socks or buy something to help give your heel protection for this issue.
The foot bed is very comfy though.
They are very attractive boots with good quality materials in my opinion.
For riding they were awesome!
I feel like they kept my foot in the stirrup better than my actual full leather Ariat tall boots.
These boots are a steal price wise!
If you aren't looking to fork out $300 plus on a Mountain Horse or Ariat boot these are your boots!

Great Boot
This is my new favorite boots! At first I was hesitant on wearing them because I thought the foot felt too big, but I’m glad I gave them a shot. By far the best pair of boots of owned as far as fashionable, durability, and well thought out. I love that they even have spur rests! Nice cushiony sole too.

Beautiful boot, will not fit plus sized calves
These boots are absolutely beautiful, high quality, the materials are soft and pliable and seem like they wear really well. Unfortunately, the foot bed was much too narrow for my wide feed, and as a plus sized rider with 20" calves, there's absolutely no way these would fit even with longer laces. I'd guess max lacing is around 15". Please Smartpak, come out with a plus sized wide foot and calf version of this boot! I really love them and hate to send them back :(
