Ada Tall Country Leather Boot by SmartPak is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hardy and great looking I put a Superfeet orthotic in these and have used them heavily for 4 years and they are still in great condition- I clean and condition them twice per winter and put them away with boot keepers each summer and love to pull them out again each year when temps drop. I am so impressed by the quality- they are an excellent value and have held up well despite heavy, consistent use. I ride and work in them at the barn- they keep my feet nice and warm despite the New England winter. I really like that they have plenty of room for my toes and wool socks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No complaints I've had these boots about a month now and am thrilled with them. No fit issues. No rubbing. No problems putting on or taking off. The leather is nice. The foot bed very comfortable. Hopefully they will last as long as the last pair - which was over 10 years. On top of it all, they are a good looking boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Run small! Largest size fits like a small 9.5 Ohhhhhhkay. I needed to try, again, to find a comfortable, durable "Winterish" casual boot for a few events. Been staring at Dubarry for awhile now but can't get past the mixed reviews and it sounds like for nearly 500.00 you don't get much boot anymore. That, and the prospect of having to order several pair to identify a proper fit is off-putting, on a good day. I live in a VERY rural area and most of my clothing and footwear is purchased online. I'm not completely over my urge to try a pair of black or black and brown Galways, but sizing is a big thing and NOWHERE do I find consistent ratings around that crucial detail! Am also taken aback by tales of nearly immediate sole dissentegration and leaks. Yuck! All that aside, I'd love to walk into a boot store and try some on. So...for now, the Dubarry thing is shelved. Now: Yep, these Tall Adas ARE good looking boots. I got the black because when I ordered the black and brown Short Adas, last year, the trim was awful...the ragged edges of the trim bands were extra visible with the contrasting colors. Ordered twice, and returned them both - the fit of the largest pair bordered on too small, and I could feel that "pinchy, tingly little nibbling-of-a-cramp-in-the-ball-of-my-foot" thing happening and knew it wasn't to be. Being a bit of a die hard, I thought I'd try once more, with the talls. NOTE: There is plenty of calf room for longer legged gals without toothpick legs. Over 17", I do believe. I can't abide a too-snug top. The top of the boot hits nearly perfectly where shorter boots can tend to cut me off or look ridiculous...like I have two calves or something on each leg. NOT attractive. Almost all neoprene-topped boots fit this way. I bypass this issue by wearing mens product to have a more attractive bulge lol, a little higher on the leg. The Tall Ada in Black, in the 42, fits like a SMALLER 9.5. Not a ten, not an 11. It's DEFINITELY running SMALL. There is great potential for this boot to be super comfy and even pretty darned functional if the sizing can just level off somewhere near reasonable. I wouldn't expect a pair to last forever. Listen: a snug 9.5 fit can't be top-end, size-wise, for this style! Give us a little more toe room, even a touch wider shaft, and perhaps a bit more insole and I'd order another pair in each color...even with some of the dishevelled trim bits. The blacks are striking with black pants. Wore them to a retirement function yesterday and felt like they LOOKED like much more expensive footwear...but they were NOT an all-day comfort fit for me and my recently broken toe on my left foot didn't help any. Screamed into the door and off they came, but not without a wishful gaze as I set them down, before putting them in the closet. I need to wipe them off and am sure that won't be an issue. I wasn't worried about putting them up a little dirty. We own a mud farm, currently. ;) They really DO look sharp for the pricepoint. Ladies, if you're closer to a nine than a 9.5, order the largest size. I may order another pair to have on hand for when I need the spotless, short-term, tall boot thing. Don't expect your jeans to tuck into these unless you're a rail, or wearing super skinnies of some type. They aren't that kinda "country boot". I wouldn't mind a little wider all-over fit but not TOO much. They're nearly perfect. Do I wish the leather was a better quality? You betcha. Again, price point and availability. We can work on that, can't we, Smart Pak? Fit and quality...I'd pay a little more for the tweaking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from eventually impossible to pull on I purchased these as what I thought might be a replacement for my Dublins. I found the Dublin to only last a little more than a year (I wear them every day) and were expensive to boot (no pun intended). I have had these boots now for less than 4 months and here are the issues: 1. they start out hard to pull on. Why? because there are no 'hook straps' to pull them on AND the 'leather' at the top is very slick. imagine trying to pull using a slick side. Given that the foot part is a snug fit (which is normal) it started to take my husband's help to pull them on each day. 2. the boot shaft 'buckles down' in time and eventually there is no hope to get them on. even with hubbies help. This is going in the trash since I can't get them on anymore. and, now I have to buy something new. I feel like a good number of things I used to buy from Smartpak have deteriorated in quality and I soon will be leaving the Smartpak app after many years of purchasing mostly solely from them. I realize times are tough right now, but it shouldn't be at the expense of a quality product. If you can't produce them in good quality, you should not bother.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I am very happy with these boots. I've been eye-ing country style boots for quite awhile and finally went for it when on sale. I am normally a 7.5/8 foot with average size calves. I have narrower feet but need plenty of room for my toes due to feet issues. I bought a size 39. These fit perfectly. Comfortable. Can squeeze warm socks in too without being too tight. I have only worn so far during high 20's temps and my feet with warm socks were cozy. I think these will get me through most of the fall, winter and spring in the cold and wet and snowy NEOhio winters. Been using around barn and light riding. Not too big for the stirrup (English). Would def buy again. The black looks very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why did I wait so long to order new boots!? These are FABULOUS!!! I had Dublin River boots before these. The lining had ripped about a year in and they were such a pain to get on and off. Finally I decided it was time and thought I'd give the Ada boots a try. OMG, wonderful! They're easy to get on and off, so warm, great color selection and nice looking. I'm just wondering why it took me 5 years to finally order them?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and functional So comfortable, I can wear them all day. Enough tread that I am not slipping and sliding in the snow, but nice for riding too. Only negative is that I can not keep the darn string tied, which I solved by simply leaving it untied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy! I traded my Dublins for these—much more comfortable! Not quite as “sturdy” in the sole though and I’m not sure they’ll be as water tight but worth the price. The dublins were sized oddly and were giving me horrible toe pain. These eliminate it—give them a shot if you haven’t had luck with other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Boots! This is the 4th pair of Ada boots I've purchased. It's hard to find country boots in black. These boots were comfortable out of the box, no breaking in required. I found they run smaller than the other styles. I wear an 8-1/2 and the 39s usually fit, but I had to exchange these for a 40. They're a little loose in the heel, but wool socks fixed that. I don't plan on riding in these boots, as the thick sole is a little clunky. However the boots aren't heavy. I have the shorter boots, and the dirt and mud brushes off the suede part easily. I highly recommend Ada boots. As you can see they're cat approved as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting great boots I wear these boots every day in the fall/winter. I do barn chores, ride in them and teach in them, so I'm wearing them for 12+ hours per day. They've held up remarkably well, going on almost 2 years now. I have replaced the insoles with ariat insoles 2x now but thats because I wear them all the time. They take some abuse and are pretty easy to clean- I just hose them down and then wipe with a sponge or towel. Sometimes I put some leather conditioner on them if I want them to look really spiffy. They are waterproof all the way up which is fantastic in snow and puddles. Wide enough to wear thick socks in the winter but not too wide to be uncomfortable with normal socks.
