Destroyed after two rides
My green horse crunches the bit so I've been trying different things to see what he likes, getting the feeling he doesn't like metal in his mouth. He seemed happy with this bit, but he continued to crunch (mostly on the ground, not while being ridden) and pretty much destroyed the bit in two rides. If he hadn't been able to grind away at the surface so easily (it's now very rough and I can't use it), I would still be using this bit. The fit was perfect even though my horse has a wider mouth. One issue is that the holes are very small, so attaching to some bridles is a challenge, and you can't run the lunge line thru and over the head.

Great bit for sensitive tb!
I purchased this bit for my sensitive ottb who rides in a bittless bridle normally. He LOVES this bit! Every other bit I've tried there is head flipping and general nervousness. This bit he is nice and quiet does not mind the contact and happily takes it when putting on the bridle.

Great for small overly sensitive OTTB Mare
I was skeptical of this bit, but thought wtf, I’ll give it a try. My young ottb Mare is super sensitive. She goes well enough on the lunge, but ridden she chomps fiercely at the bit. Any movement became a feedBack loop for her. After a blue coated bit, there were grind marks where she had fussed at it.
However, this sensitive bit has helped her calm down and accept a bit and contract. She even opens her mouth for it. She has not marked the soft plastic at all. She is relaxing.
However, I will say as the bit has no movement in it, it takes Not just a soft hand, but an educated one as well.
This bit was genuinely a surprise. Worth the try.

Awkward
Great quality and appreciate the out of the box thinking for this bit. The cheek pieces are fixed making to awkward while riding and lack of size options didn’t work for my horse. Love the concept on hope they continue to innovate new bit options.

Too Bad
I’m trying to find a bit that might encourage my sensitive horse with a past bad bit history to seek a more consistent contact. I have never seen anything like this and was pretty skeptical, but I’ll try anything once. I fully expected him to totally reject it. He actually seemed to like it and was very quiet in his mouth. I have a feeling with a few more rides he would have really started to trust the bit. Unfortunately, after 3 rides I began to notice rubbing on the side of his face near the bit/headstall junction. Another reviewer commented that it rubbed their horses faces, too. It may be fine for a narrow faced horse, but my guy has a pretty beefy chin/jawbone area. I cannot bring myself to continuing it. Too bad, as I think it really might have worked out. Super lightweight. I would recommend trying it, but only if your horse has a narrow face.

Great bit!
I bought this for a horse that avoids the bit before the jump. She keeps her jaw relaxed and stays soft before the jumps now. I started on the bottom slot for rein attachment and keep it there for XC but flat and arena jumping I put it on the less leverage slot. Super soft and is much happier. No fuss! It is so light weight.

Great for my picky & sensitive horse
I was aprehensive, to say the least, about this bit. My horse is super sensitive in the contact, super picky about bits, and finding the best bit has been difficult to say the least. He loves the stability of this, since the cheeks don't move and the mouth peice is less flexible than a nathe or duo. Now to find something with the same affect that's USEF legal...

Nice Idea but Missed on the Execution
I've put this bit on a few hard-to-please sensitive horses. They seem to like the idea but the D rubs on their cheeks pretty badly. It would be better if the sides had some flexibility or were angled out just a little. This design has the D in a 90 degree angle to the bit so the top is closer to their face than the bottom. The horses on which I tried it are standard 5" characters. I'm going to try a nathe combo and see if that'll work without the rubbing.

seems to work
Purchased this for my green horse in training who is very picky about bits. He usually stiffens and will not collect and accept the bit but im on my 2nd try with this bit and its showing to be doing something for him. The only "complaint" i have is the mouth piece itself is rather on the hard side but isnt really seeming to bother my guy. Theres two adjustments on the rings of the bit, the middle for "regular" and the bottom for leverage which i use because he needs some extra aid.
