But…they are not metal. It’s better.
I was excited to get new stirrups. Then I discovered they are… well, they are not metal. At first I thought, this ain’t ever gonna work. But, I was wrong. They are amazing. I am a medium size (5’3, 130 lbs) eventer with an ottb chestnut mare. Keeping my leg stable while my ride was loosing her shiz was of utmost concern. I needed …idk, something better than standard heavy irons; something better than aluminum; something, dare I say plastic? No! Say it ain’t so! Ok, it’s a composite material (like plastic.) But better. Idk how it works, but some who, the curves, the two piece design, the steel foot rests, it all works. I never would have believed if I hadn’t lived it. When I heard my trainer remark, “huh. Your legs didn’t even move over the jump!” I knew I had made a good purchase. Yep! They are light weight but heavy enough to find if you loose them over a jump. But honestly, it’s been two months and I haven’t lost them yet! Well done Acavallo!

Easy to find, hold my feet well, perfect weight
Just purchased so still evaluating but so far I am very happy with these stirrups. They are light weight enough to make it easy to carry the saddle but heavy enough not to flop around while placing your feet. Once in place, these stirrups hold your feet securely without slippage or falling out. They also are easier to place your feet into without having to reach down since they are already facing forward. The flag insignia is fun to personalize as well.

Very good Stirrup
This is a sturdy stirrup. The toothed footbed holds your foot well and they are a nice weight.

Nice looking but not as good quality as hoped
I like these stirrups for their look! They are also better on my joints than my other, older irons.
But unfortunately I think the quality has gone down since seeing a pair when they first came out. I was expecting more as they had some rough edges on both the plastic/composite and the treads that I had to work off before I rode in them. Didn't want my horse getting irritated or sore from them.
Overall they look good but wish they were better value for money.

Never been happier
Leaving herm sprenger for these has made a world of a difference. I have horrible ankle pain that has nearly disappeared after riding in these. Also, my feet do not slip out and I no longer struggle with the stirrups twisting everywhere because of the way these are designed to lay. My only complaint is that they are extremely bulky (but lightweight. They look a little ridiculous on my 00D flaps when rolled up. and are hard to roll up. It is SO worth it though

Love them!
I wanted a cheese grater stirrup with a wider base. I saw these, took a chance and bought them. So glad I did for multiple reasons. I feel more secure in the stirrup, less stress on my knees, my foot came out of a stirrup but due to the angle with the leathers I didn’t have to search hard to get my foot back in.

Holds me in the stirrups and good on my knees
I bought these a few weeks ago. Really good on my knees and lots of surface to hold me in stirrups. Love these stirrups.
