Instructions

Instructions for Use:
Feeding Directions: Mix Summer Games with the daily grain ration. All horses should always have free access to a salt block or loose salt and fresh, clean water.

The amount of electrolyte supplementation will depend on how much the performance horse sweats. Typically, a normal maintenance intake for horses at rest in hot environments or those horses being transported in hot weather is 1 ounce per day. Horses at moderate work levels should receive 2 to 3 ounces, and those in heavy training require 3 to 4 ounces per day. It is recommended that daily doses of 3 to 4 ounces per day be divided into separate feedings.

Summer Games is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommended by my vet. I have been using it for two months. I am seeing some sweating on my horse after short rides.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Horse doesn't like taste Vet highly recommended this electrolyte, but my senior horse who is rarely picky, is not a fan of it. I think it's doing it's job but has a terrible taste. The first few days he somehow picked around it and left behind mush with an orange tint (with water added and other supplements mixed in). I reduced the portion for the second shipment because I assumed the weather would start cooling off in December (it didn't) and he seems to not notice it as much in a smaller portion. I'll still be switching it out for a better tasting electrolyte next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great electrolyte I have been giving my horse 3 scoops per day for the past 6 months (more when it's really hot and he sweats a lot). I have never had any issues with it and he drinks plenty of water. The Bowen therapist said that his skin was dehydrated and by the next visit a month later after being on summer games for a month, she was shocked how well he took to the electrolytes. No issues eating it on his brain although he isn't a picky eater.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would Not Re-Purchase I added this to my horse's SmartPak since he is a nervous sweater. When I began feeding him it with his other supplements and grain, he visibly picked through to avoid it. I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't eat it, since I've never had problems with him or any of my other horses eating electrolytes. My trainer tried a little bit and she told me to as well. It turns out that there's a reason that he wouldn't eat it. It tastes like bad meat seasoning, extremely salty and disgusting. Following that, I had to remove it from the next months order, and decided to add Apple-A-Day (which he LOVES). Now I have a whole sack of disgusting electrolytes that I had to empty out from the Smartpak wells.
