Great product
I started using Succeed for maintenance after a 6 week treatment with GastroGard for a hind gut ulcer. Product seems to be doing its job - no signs of recurrent ulcer. My only complaint is with the packaging. I opted for a bucket rather than SmartPaks. The plastic container is very flimsy and arrived cracked - the packing and shipping materials were fine, it was the container itself which was the problem. I used duct tape on the crack but the container continued to crack. I will reorder in SmartPak serving containers.

Great product
I tried this on a recommendation, not realizing my horse had an issue. After two weeks, there was a huge change in his attitude. He was happy, more alert with a soft eye. I am very happy I tried it.

Didn't help
Tried this product to help my thoroughbred belly issues. Had him on the product for a month and he didn't seem to get any relief from it.

Avoid
My mare colicked after 1 week on this product; she had never colicked before! I had decided to put her on the Succeed because she is a high-strung and sensitive and I wanted to ensure optimal health, particularly for the hind gut. My vet came out on a Tuesday night. After treating my mare, I showed her this product. She admitted that she hasn't heard anything negative about it, but was not happy with the "gummy" texture. We believe it may have caused some impaction and gas. I discontinued immediately. SmartPak was wonderful. A rep promptly responded to my email, wanted complete information about the product and details about my horse (which I provided), and gave me a full refund.

Super Product
My Hanoverian mare had numerous bouts of colic, mostly gas colics, one impaction. No ulcers were present, just becoming a chronic problem. My vet suggested trying Succeed. She has been on it for over a year, and no colic issues! She has less gas, and overall is more comfortable. On the pricey side, but week worth it!

Will stop the Runs!
This is the product my Vet recomended. It works fast! My horse had no issues eating this with her regular feed. My only hesitation to use this all the time is the Cost.

This product made my horse an easy keeper.
I've written reviews for this, but seriously doing it again because if you suspect an ulcer issue this IS the product to put them on. But you have to treat w/ gastrogard/ulcergard 28 days first. Amazing product.

Horse Loves the Taste
My horse sustained life threatening injuries in a fall last year and spent 9 months being treated for those injuries. He was receiving priobiotics throughout his recovery, and was doing well, but Vet recommended that we try Succeed to support for additional support due to all of the medications he was taking. I tried it immediately and am very happy with the results. My horse loves the taste, looks and feels great!

Helpful
I was having trouble with my horse getting a little backed up. After being on Succeed a week, his manure was much better. I think it helped him become more regular for a few months. I have had him on it for about 8 months now and am starting to notice that it is now less effective; I'm not really sure why. I may take him off of it since I have noticed a decline in its effectiveness as it is very expensive. A positive is that it does not have many fillers in it, which is great, and my horse eats it without hesitation.

so far so good!
I've Been Using It About 6 Weeks, But It's The First Change That Seems To Make My Horse More comfortable. As Soon As He Eats His Grain, He Would Get Gassy, It Seemed Worse With Pelleted Feed, Than Grain. He Gets Omeprazole As A Preventative, But This Seems To Allow Me To BacK Off Omeprazole, And Is Helping Him Gain Weight. I've Used The Paste And Granules, And He Eats Both Easily.

My horse is happy again! He had bouts of lose manure for years and always seemed grumpy. Especially when I would touch his belly. He still had some lose manure but not as bad. I hope that will Improve with time. But I am just very happy to have a happy horse again.

Succeed
My Horse has been on Succeed for about 4 month. So far so good it has stopped a hind gut issue that he has had on and off for many years.(When he poops he skirts out execs water that has not been absorbed. His apples are always normal) The fall is the worst time of year for it to flare up so I will wait to see what happens in the fall. I am thrilled with the product so far.

Absolutely worth the $$
My daughters horse has been on this for 1 mnth - what a difference! I had tried
ranitidine in the past for possible ulcer issues but never really saw an improvement.
After considering this supplement for weeks, I decided to give it a try. I'm certainly
glad I did! I noticed a difference within a day or two. the horse that did not like to be girthed or touched and was tense under saddle was now relaxed and happy. WELL worth the money! IF you horse is a picky eater- i suggest the paste...our horse will
eat just about anything and he sometimes refuses to eat it without sweetfeed mixed
in.

Working "ok" this time
I used this in the past with excellent results but this time my horse is still having on and off tummy troubles, girthiness and grouchiness. It is very pricey and I feel like this time I've wasted my money. The granular product is easy to feed though and my horse eats it up. .

Succeed Paste is the BEST!!
Love what Succeed has done for my horse! I noticed a difference right away!! I could see a much more relaxed and softer eyed horse! I only use the PASTE tubes, because my horse absolutely loves the taste. Had been given a sample of the powder version years ago and my horse stopped eating his grain, the company told me, it's because after 30 minutes or so that the powder is exposed to air, it can get bitter tasting. So that's why I now only use the tubes! I highly recommend this product!!

No comparison!
I have been using Succeed on two of my horses for 3 months now. My OTTB gelding had gastric and hindgut ulcers. My Holsteiner mare is just young, a bit spoiled, and reacts very negatively to stress. I'm completely amazed and pleased with how it has helped both horses. My gelding is finally showing signs of healing and consistently good digestion, which are making him far more comfortable and his overall physical conditioning are much improved! He now has a nice coat and is much more playful in the paddock. He also enjoys his workouts more and we are able to go on much longer hacks. It's such a relief to see him happy, healthy and comfortable. My young mare is much more attentive in her training--no more drama! I do still give a.m. and p.m. doses (full doses), but my issues were significant and my hay provider is very inconsistent. But neither horse has wet "nervous" manure anymore--not even when I trailer them out to new places to ride. That's a miracle for these two!
Since Succeed and SmartDigest Ultra have similar ingredients, I did recently try to switch to SDU for the p.m. feeding (to save some money), but noticed the difference within two days. So although Succeed is pricy, for me it means being able to have happy/healthy horses, enjoyable workouts and rides, and winning performances--without having to go the omeprazole route (which would be significantly more expensive and tricky to use compared to Succeed). (I must say, however, SmartDigest Ultra is excellent for my other horses, who don't have quite the stress issues.)

wonderful product
My horse was diagnosed with colonic ulcers and his behavior was irratic. Since the vet prescribed succeed for a few months we put him on it and his attitude changed within a couple of weeks. He has been on it now all summer and hopefully he has recovered from his uclers and can be taken off the product but will keep him on it until he is cured. Love it.

still feeding..
still feeding this to one horse for chronic colic, seems to have helped normal situations, but still had an episode of gas colic 2 weeks ago - wish there was something that could prevent or cure colic to use at home since we're one hour away from the vet
otherwise Snickers is in very good shape

vet recommended
our vet recommended Succeed after 2 episodes of colic, Snickers has been on it for 2 months and has gained weight and not had any colic problems since. a little picky about eating it, but gets it with a handful of feed or loose alfalfa leaves, sometimes wet it a little to make sure he gets all of it - love the discount price for AQHA members and packet convenience

Working well so far
We bought succeed in an attempt to make sure his digestive tract was functioning properly as he had lost weight over the winter while away at boarding, and seemed cranky in general. We put him on this supplement when he returned to our home farm. He is gaining weight and seems happier during work. Not sure if it's because of a better turnout regimen and feed schedule or the supplements. Either way he is gaining weight and seems to feel much better. We will continue this for few months and re-evaluate his needs. Very palatable for our picky Thoroughbred.

BEST STUFF EVER!
We think that Splash had ulcers when we got him in May 2012(5 years 5 months old). After his original owner sold him at age 2, he had at least 4 short term homes before he came to us. He never once got to settle down. A short time after we got him, he became defensive near his food. We started 30 days of ulcer treatment for him in July (UlcerGuard). His attitude got better. later on, his behavior under saddle went downhill - he started bucking, kicking out, and refusing to move in October. He tested positive for Lyme disease in November, and was treated with doxycycline. We tried SmartCalm in August, and kept him on it for a couple months, it didn't do anything for Splash. We decided we needed to try something else. We tried Succeed. I saw results in a little over a week! Splash got happier, calmer, and MUCH better under saddle! He was turning into a different horse, a calmer and happier one! Now Splash is much better with his food aggression, under saddle, and his outlook on life! He is not as spooky, or mad when riding. I LOVE Succeed, Splash is now again a happy horse, and he is going to stay that way!
