Very yummy, quality vitamin.
In the winter, I have almost always fed my horses a vitamin. I figured out a long time ago that they were growing in the winter the hoof they would be walking on in the summer. This vitamin seems to have the "biggest bang for the buck" so I tried it this year. It is absolutely packed with goodness. Plus, my horses only eat grass and hay, so they need a vitamin that is yummy. This vitamin fits that bill perfectly. They think they are getting a treat and I am enjoying the bloom on them, even though it is winter. Even my picky pony loves it. I won't try another vitamin next year. I will just come right back to SmartVite.

Too soon to tell
I started my overweight trail horse on these since he only gets a handful of feed. It's too soon to tell if the supplement will make a difference in his overall health. He eats it fine

My horse does great on this!
My horse is an air fern. I swear, if I showed him a handful of grain, he'd gain 50 lbs. Because of this, he's on a forage-only diet, and my vet suggested I add a multivitamin.
This was back when Smartpak had Easy Keeper Grass. I was happy with it, but Yankee didn't like the taste much. When it became Thrive, I was less happy because it was twice as much pellets - but Yankee loves it.
I feed his supplements with a bagged forage, rather than grain or pellets, and he eats every last bit and licks the pan.

Palatable!
My little mare is entering month 2 of using the SmartVite Thrive Pellets which isn't a lot of time to document progress, but I will say that I didn't need to spend time worrying about whether or not she would be finicky about eating this product. She scarfs it down every day without hesitation.

Good overall multi-vitamin
I bought this product in smart paks for my OTTB and it is working wonders! She has been on it for just over a month and I have already noticed a difference in her coat and new hoof growth!

Super!
I feel confident that my horse who is on pasture 24/7 and minimal grain is now getting all the vitamins and minerals he needs. He has been a picky eater in the past but eats this up. And I am very pleased with the price, it is much less than many others like it.

Great results!
I started my yearling on this and within two months I have seen a major difference. Her overal tone an coat look really impressive even with a winter coat growing! Her hooves also seem a bit stronger!

Missing the probiotic
It's a great multi vitamin for easy keepers that don't need full ration balancers but need vitamins they are missing from not getting the concentrated feeds. I am a little unhappy the probiotics that were in it when I started my horse on them were taken out. I am in the process of comparing other vitamins but like that this one is alfalfa based and not cereal grain based. Wary of changing my horses diet because he is an easy keeper and has been doing very well on alfalfa pellets, beet pulp and vitamins.

Good multivitamin for easy keepers
Picky eater ate it just fine. Good multivitamin for our easy keeper lesson pony. Gives me the piece of mind that she isn't suffering from nutritional imbalance when sadly lb for lb, the main basis of her diet tends to be treats from her little riders!

This is a great overall vitamin supplement! Covers all the bases. I have a draft cross that is on pasture/hay only and tis fills in the gaps nicely without me having to use a fortified feed and risk any weight gain. Tasty too!! Never been refused by my horses.

Stops my worry
I am confident my horse horse is getting all he needs with this product. He's a very easy keeper and stays pretty fat on 1/3 scoop of grain, not even a pound really. I knew he wasn't getting enough nutrition with such a small amount of grain. This makes me feel much better knowing he's getting what ne needs. I think it definitely works, he shines and "thrives" when on it, and the results fade when off of it. He eats the pellets by themselves too! Not a miracle, but works for sure.

great multi-vitamin supplement for easy keepers
I have a 4 yr old gelding that is such an easy keeper, he only gets chopped forage at meal times (so he doesn't feel like he's missing out). I started him on the Thrive as a long yearling (when used to be called EZ Keeper) in addition to Tri Amino to make sure he was getting all the amino acids he needed for growing, and he has always looked great. I recently tried switching to a plain ration balancer, but within a few days noticed a drastic change for the worse in his attitude from the high protein. So, it's back to the Thrive and my nice laid-back boy; I will keep him on this product forever!

love thrive!
I started feeding Thrive to my 6 yr old Paso Fino mare a little over a month ago. She is a very easy keeper and was only eating grass hay. I was worried she wasn't getting the nutrition she needed, but with Thrive, now I know she is, without overfeeding her.

Still not sure
I had started using this supplement back when they had the different packaging, and I have been worried about Joplin getting all the nutrients he needed as we went back into work since he just has oats, hay, and pasture. When I used it in the past I did notice some improvement in his body condition (hooves grew quicker [although he's always had good feet], shiny dapples in his coat) however I'm not sure how much was attributed the SmartShine he was also on. The original formula was not loved by him, but I started him on the new packaging a few weeks ago and he ate it without any problem. He doesn't leave any in his bucket so I assume the flavor is more palatable now. In terms of results however, its hard to say if I've seen any improvement. He is still shedding out (and has a trace clip) so its difficult to see any change in coat. My larger concern was to give him rounded nutrients as we got back into work as his topline is wimpy and he tends to get sore and stiff. I'll give it another month or so and see how he does, but we may switch to something more effective since we don't have issues with the typical things horses are put on these multivites for.

Lifesaver!!
Both of my horses are VERY easy keepers, during the grass season they only get maybe a handful of grain and live off the pasture, in the winter they get a little more grain and a few flakes of hay and still stay super fat... however I noticed this year that my mare especially started becoming very agitated and her anxiety level was out of control. I figured it was time to add a multi-vitamin supplement since they were clearly lacking some vital nutrients. While researching all the different options available I really liked that the SmartVite Thrive had a good amount of magnesium and B1 which is really key in helping to reduce anxiety and that react-first-think-later mentality that my horses had developed. After only 4 DAYS I started to see a difference! They have been on it for about 2 months now and are so much easier to handle and seem overall more relaxed. Not to mention their feet look awesome! Im excited to see how it has affected their skin/coat come summer. Just an overall great product with a good price, you really cant go wrong with this one and the horses love it :)

Noticeable Results
I had my horse on the previous version of Smartvite, but took her off to try a different multivitamin with lower levels (I'd read that horses don't really need multivitamins anyway so I thought I'd save some money). After a few months I noticed my mare's hooves were cracking easily even though she had always had excellent feet and her attitude seemed to have changed. When the farrier commented on her feet, I decided it was time to switch back. She has been on SmartVite for two months now and I have noticed an improvement in her feet. Her hooves have not grown back completely, but the new growth is much better. She also eats these, which is a plus because she is an easy keeper and can be picky about supplements.

This is a great product because I can be assured my horse is getting all of the nutrients he needs for a well balanced diet. He does not get the recommended portion of grain daily because he gains weight easily, so this added to his meal is important.

I bought this as it is a multivitamin but WITHOUT soybean meal....this is good for my metabolic candidate :) It is palatable as well and he gets everything he needs.

I've been feeding this supplement for years back when it was known as a multivit for the grass kept horse and $7 cheaper! 3 years and a HUGE price hike later I still feed it to my horses happy with the quality and variety of nutrients for horses that aren't on any grains and just grass/hay.
This latest change seemed to make the pellets taste better to the horses. I finally can feed it to them directly without having to hide it in a handful of grain. All by 1 (my mini) will gobble it up straight from my hand. My mini has her days. Sometimes she'll eat it happily other times she wants a handful of grain mixed with it.
All my horses have shinny coats, sexy manes and tails and hardy barefoot hooves. They are happy so I'm happy though I'd be happier if it was back to the lower price.
