This combination can leave your horse’s diet short on this key mineral, which is essential for healthy nerve and muscle function, plus it encourages normal drinking. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ever I bought this a few weeks ago and it is the best ever. Now my horses can get their salt with those salt blocks that are not satisfactory. Horses don't naturally lick and now with the SmartSalt Pellets it is in their feed. Thanks for a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horses Won’t Eat It The mare I bought these for refuses to eat her grain at all if I put SmartSalt pellets in. I was left with almost a month’s worth of the supplement so I offered it to her two herd mates. Only one horse in my herd of three will eat them, the other two horses refuse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good results! Once we get snow my horse spends too much time licking it up and not drinking from his heated water bucket. He won’t eat his grain if I just ad regular salt to it, but he cleans up the smartSalt pellets no problem. It gets him to drink much better!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Horse Refuses to Eat The horse I bought this for refuses to eat it. Not even the tiniest bit. Not even with peppermint Equi Sweet on top. Thankfully my other horse will eat them so they aren’t being wasted. Going to try SmartLytes and see if she finds them acceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from #1 supplement in my SmartPaks My horse refused salt licks, loose salt, powdered electrolytes, salty treats etc. his whole life. He needed sodium in his system, and syringing it down his throat everyday was not a great idea. I discovered SmartSalt, hid it in his daily grain, and he eats it with no problem. He has even started sweating normally again, and stopped licking dirt. After being on it for two months, I noticed the salt block that has been hanging untouched for years was licked on. SmartSalt has showed him how yummy salt really is, and he wants more. What a goober.
