tough sell to the horse, but seems to work
I bought this product for an 18 yr old mare who is just barely positive for Cushings. My vet agreed it would be good to try in lieu of Pergolide, at this stage. It took nearly 4 weeks of gradually adding it to all her meals before she would eat it without complaint (we used Cough Free to help mask the flavor in the first weeks). Now she eats it willingly and seems to have regained energy she was lacking, as well as shedding her winter coat beautifully. SmartPituitary will be in her meals for the foreseeable future!

So far so good
My 20+ year old Percheron just started his second month of this. He seems to eat it great and I believe it is already helping his top line. He is shedding out now, so I should be able to tell more after we get all the hair off him!

Excellent results!
My senior horse has shown every sign of Cushings, but hasn't been tested. Every year he gets shaggy and takes forever to shed. I have tried lots of herbal products to help him seem more balanced with his hormones. (Some of which he had reactions to.) I thought I would try this product and I'm in love with the results! He is shedding well and is perkier than before! Amazing product!

Just what Sam needed
My 21 year old QH Sam, is on the verge of being diagnosed with Cushings disease. Has some of the symtoms, but not quite there yet according to my vet's blood tests. Since I started him on Smart Pituitary pellets, he has shown more energy and vitality. Hoping the supplement can hold off the Cushings for a good while. Seems to be working great!

She won't eat it no matter what!
Cloud is cushings and on thyroid powder and RX for the cushings. Her powdered meds are added to her feed and she's eaten that readily. But once I added this to the mix, she absolutely refused to eat her grain. She would eat around the Pituitary Pellets and then finally give up and stop eating. No matter what I did, she just won't eat it. If there is a way to obtain a sample before buying a larger quantity that is my recommendation. I have a large jug of this that will go to waste unfortunately.

My 18yr old gelding has been on the pituitary supplement for 2 months now and I have seem a difference in his weight control. He was losing some tooling & a couple fat patches on his side's and behind the shoulders. Those have almost completely gone away and his topline is beginning to improve. He has also been on a low starch/sugar grain for 8 months.

Love the product.
Bought SmartPituitary Senior because my horse showed early signs of Cushing's. He responded very well and the rest of his winter hair came out and his acted like he felt much better he his 26 and I had him ever since he was born. Kinda smells but my horse had not problem eating it. I have been ordering the small tub and that was fine for 1 horses then I started feeding it to my 2nd horse too. So I ordered the 5lb thinking it was in a tub but it came in a bag and it was more dust then pellets.
But Great product and working well for my horses.

Have a brand new horse

Very satisfied with this product.

It works!
My 24-year-old Arab gelding gets a heavy, curly coat every winter (even here in Florida) and looks 30! I decided to try the SmartPituitary Senior Pellets and by the end of the first month his coat started smoothing out and he perked up. He is on his second month with the pellets and keeps improving.

I thought my horse would eat everything....
.... after all once he was so greedy, that he took a Schnitzel roll out of my hand and ate it when we were living in Germany.
After that, I thought he was the equine equivalent to a Labrador.
But I was mistaken.
I really wanted him to eat his supplement, but he won't even eat an apple that I offered him after HANDLING the supplement.
I covered it with every taste improving (horse appropriate - no more Schnitzel!!!) topper under the sun (or moon) to make it more appealing to him, but he refuses it.
I'd still recommend it, because the ingredients are exactly what I would like my chubby 20 year old Icelandic to get.
I chose the replacement with something-more-palatable-option when cancelling my SmartPaks.
Thank you SmartPak for offering this option!
I really hope we can find a supplement option that is not offending my snobs palate anymore.

This stuff is GREAT.
I never thought I'd see a nice slick coat on my mare again. That I would have to clip her every summer. Here it is December and she is shedding like crazy. Thank you so much for making this product. I have my sweet mare back. I went threw Cushings with my older mare, and hated see my 18 yr old starting. Thanks. The trick for picky eaters is put in in their food the night before. Some of the smell wares off.

Good idea, but my mare didn’t like it
I so wanted to try this, but my mare wouldn’t touch her food once I added this to it. I tried adding a little at a time but it was a no go. She wouldn’t even eat 2 bites when I added these pellets. Once I quit adding it, she went back to eating!
I would have never considered her a picky eater, she usually eats anything.

Has done wonders on a 20 year old mini horse
I bought this to help a 20 year old mini horse with Cushings. Within months her coat seemed brighter. This stuff tastes awful so I bought some sugar free peppermint topping sold by Smartpak. She ate it up not problem! Highly recommend!

Amazing Results
My Annie is almost 22 years young, and I mean that! We still school the younger horses out on the trails and she loves every minute of it. During a trip to the vet, I was warned that she might have the early stages of cushings disease (Now we didn't test for it.) But since I've owned her for nearly five years, she has developed the thickest winter coat without fail, but last summer she didn't slick off everything. When the vet suggested Chaste Berry to support her pituitary gland, I hopped to, did my research and found Smartpaks. This summer my girl was smooth and shiny, spunky and spry! I have seen a major difference in her comfort, even if she doesn't quite like the smell of her new supplements it doesn't stop her from eating them, and when a handful of alfalfa pellets are thrown in she doesn't care. This pituitary supplement is ideal for an older horse, if you have any doubts consult your vet, mine said this was perfect.

Smells great!
Only been using for a couple months for my 28 year old Arabian Gelding. Seems to be helping. I have not seen a big difference but some. Hopefully more in time.

So Happy I Tried This Product
I bought this for my 21 year old mare who didn't shed out well last spring and kept her thick coat well into summer. I started her on this product late last summer. This spring she shed her thick winter coat much quicker and looked much better. We can see her dapples again this summer. She has always been and easy keeper and never misses a meal or a treat. She was not bothered by the smell and eats this with her slash of grain.

Excellent results
My senior horse with Cushings has been on this for over 2 years, he no longer needs to be body clipped in summer, his coat is almost normal! I have also taken him completely off pergolide and he has been doing great, I could not be happier with this product, highly recommended!! He is also a picky eater but gives no complaints with this supplement.

Worthless if the hose won't eat it
The first thing I noticed when I opened it up was that it had a strong pungent smell. My boyfriend standing several feet away said it stunk like stale oatmeal. I thought it smelled like goat excrement. I was worried my horse would not eat it, even though he will eat nearly anything. I tried it and sure enough he grabbed a mouthful and spit it all out piece by piece. We tried my boyfriend's horse and he wouldn't even lick it. So that's almost $50 down the drain. They should send free samples to people so you can see if you horse will eat it before wasting money.
