Picky mare approved!
Have only been feeding for about a month. Excellent results so far! My mare can be picky, and she loves this. And she is staying slim and trim so far this year. Normally she looks like she is due to foal any second, no matter what I do, lol.

Good Results!
My 36" tall miniature horse Nozzy has been on this product for a little over two months. He will be 7 years old this year. He's been tested for IR and Cushings with negative results, but he has the build of a metabolic horse. He loves to eat and it's been hard keeping him at a good weight. He has never foundered. I thought I would try SmartMetabo-Lean to see if it would help Nozz. It has! He has lost about 40 pounds at this point, which is good for a short amount of time.
He LOVES the taste of this product and gobbles it up. I hope to be able to give another review after the next few months. The photograph is Nozzy at the start of his reducing plan and his SmartMetabo-lean.

Made a difference
I have been using this for two months. I bought it for my draft cross and shetland pony. It has helped them maintain their sugar balance over the winter. I will continue to track their health on this supplement. Gave it 4 stars because it has only been 2 months.

2 horses on it, no weight loss
I had 2 horses on this Metabolean for over 6+ months; neither of which lost weight (no other variables). Also, palatability is an issue - horse not eating all of the pellets (not a picky eater). So, I am going to switch to a different product. Also, shame on Smartpak for trying to get people to review this product within the first two weeks of purchase, when weight loss results cannot be verified due to product. I suspect that is why this product has such a good rating. Notice which reviewers rated the product with 4-5 stars within the first few days/weeks of purchase instead of testing for 1-2 months minimum.

Pony looks amazing!
My daughters 14 year old pony was diagnosed with Cushings. Started her on Metabo-Lean Pellets two months ago and the difference is quite noticeable already! The crest on her neck has decreased, she's lost weight, hair growth has slowed, and her mood has improved greatly! Definitely worth a try!

Have had my 20 yr. old draft mare on these 2 products for a little over 2 months now. Her eyes are brighter, ears are perked up more and not such a " deadhead " now. Fat pads over her rib cage area has gone down some. Coat and hooves look much healthier. Can't wait to see how she'll look this summer without all the winter hair !

Smart metabo-lean pellets
I bought this product because my mare is a eating machine and has gotten quite obese. She only gets low sugar hay. She has been on it for almost a month and I think the fat pad on her utter is getting smaller. She seems a little more content. It is difficult to evaluate this product. She eats it without any problem.

Bloodwork tells the real story
Bought this and have continued to use it for almost a year on a TB mare diagnosed with IR. Her bloodwork is now normal and hopefully with proper diet, exercise and this supplement, she will continue to thrive.

After just over a month, my pony (who tends to be quite round, even at age 5) already looks more trim. She loves them and considers them a treat (they smell SO good, I'm tempted to try them myself). These pellets are wonderful!

Metabo Lean supplement
I bought this for my ten year old gelding, who is insulin resistent. In the short time he has been on it, he seems to have lost the pronounced cresting down his neck. Along with exercise and food reduction, he's losing weight and appears to be feeling great..

My husband has a 21 year old Paso Fino mare who foundered four years ago. La Pandora (Panda) had never returned to complete soundness, despite corrective shoeing, diet and various supplements. Even our vet had no suggestions. Panda would have periodic "flare ups" when her feet would become extremely sore again. This past July, Panda experienced an especially harsh flare up. We could see that even taking one step was causing her a great deal of pain. She mostly just stood in the paddock. It was so difficult for us to see her suffering this way and my husband talked about having her put down. I knew of SmartPak's reputation and of the science and guarantees behind your products. So I started searching your supplement lists and found a product called SmartMetabo-Lean for horses with insulin resistance. Panda certainly fit the profile for this type horse. I ordered this and your salesperson, Chloe, suggested we add SmartVite Thrive Senior, which I did. This was literally Panda's last chance.. I had high hopes but have to admit, some skepticism. Within a very short time of Panda being on SmartMetabo-Lean, we started noticing improvement. She became less and less sore. Walking became much easier. After just a few weeks, we put one of your grazing halters on her and turned her out in the pasture with the other horses. She has been on the supplement two months now, and has lost a lot of weight, her crested neck has decreased significantly, and she is moving better than she has in years! She actually leads the other horses up to the barn each afternoon for feeding! My husband and I are absolutely amazed at this transformation we witnessed firsthand. Smart Metabolean does what it says
On my vet's advice began feeding about 3 months ago to my 19 y/o Arab gelding. The fatty pads on his shoulders and by his dock have disappeared and he can graze again (with close monitoring). Thank you for a great product. And it snells good!

Works great for my horse!
My IR horse has been on this for about 5 months now and he looks great. He's lost more than 50% of his crest and over half of the fatty deposits on either side of his spine - the other fatty deposits (hind quarters, shoulders) have diminished significantly. Thanks SmartPak!

Bring Back the SmartControl IR pellets
My mare LOVED the SmartControl IR pellets, then the formula was switched to this new supplement and she won't eat it. She is normally not a picky eater! I've read other reviews that have said the same thing. Please bring back the old formula.

I have a 19 year old gelding who has always been as easy keeper. Even with being worked continuously and a monitored diet he would never maintain a proper weight. After using this product for a few months we could see a definitive difference in his body composition.
He has now been using this supplement for over a year and, keeping along with diet & normal exercise, is maintaining a well-balanced weight.

Chubby Horses
My 16 year old gelding who is a very easy keeper and gets a crest has done well with this supplement (metabolic syndrome)His weight has been easier to control and the crest in his neck has been smaller. The only issue has been taste. If doctored up with a little apple sauce(no sugar) and a grated carrot he will eat it now. I plan to continue to use this supplement.

seems to be working-I think :)
My 3rd shipment is on its way. My mare has always been heavy and always been turned out 24/7. She's still a fatty but I swear the weight seems to be spread out more and not in fatty deposits. No crest. Her feet are growing like weeds. She was recently diagnosed with ringbone in her front left hoof and at the same time a bone chip in her back left hoof. So unfortunately, I may never be able to ride her agian (she's 22). I started with a muzzle last year on her and she HATED it. She started not letting me catch her, would run away from me. She really hated it. But I figured this spring I'd have to do it again. Well I started this supplement and the muzzle at the same time, and well bad mood girl happened again. I decided that with her lamenesses and her being in pain all the time, i wouldn't put her through the muzzle agany, but yet pray this supplement worked. So far so good!! So we shall see what the future hold. I plan on keeping her on it. Thanks Smart Pak! You guys are great. P.S. She snarled at the flavor at first, I mixed it with a handful of grain and now just a handful of oats. She licks it right up.

Good information on what it helps support.
I had purchased my first two month supply in February. When it ran out I ordered the monthly shipments. The explanation said guaranteed to work WITH regular exercise. As it was winter I could not exercise my horse at all so I didn't feel I could give an honest answer as to whether the product worked for my horse. I am still not into the full swing of riding season. My friend said yesterday on our ride that he looked as heavy as ever. I have thought so too but wanted to give him a little more time with some more exercise in the mix.

My mini eats it right up!!
I got this supplement for my miniature horse mare as she founders easily, we think she may have a metabolic issue which makes her founder. So far she eats these right up! I gave her very first Smart pak today. Hoping this will help her be healthy. :)

Horse Doesn't Like the Smell or Taste
My horse doesn't like the smell or taste, but if I grind it to a powder, he will eat some when mixed with other feed. It would be nice if this product was also available in a powder form.

Still won't eat it
Ugh, waited for Smartpak to re formulate this product and they graciously supplied a free sample as a taste test. I was so hopeful but yet again my 2 easy keepers won't eat it. They aren't picky eaters but there is something in here they won't touch even if you try to disguise it.
