Replaces key minerals lost in sweat
Dehydration in horses has serious consequences. In order to keep your horse properly hydrated and performing his best, it is essential to supplement his diet with salt. Neither hay, pasture, nor fortified grain contain enough salt (sodium chloride) to meet your horse’s needs, and not all horses can get their requirements from a salt block alone. Feeding a well-balanced electrolyte supplement like SmartLytes Pellets can supply the sodium chloride your horse needs, in addition to the other electrolyte minerals that are lost in sweat - potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Supplying these electrolytes will also encourage your horse to drink more water, rebalancing his fluids and helping to ensure proper digestion of feeds.

Seems to do the job!
Bought these for hot Arizona weather for our horses. This is the second year of using this brand from SmartPak. Our vet recommended feeding electrolytes Apr-Oct for our hot climate here. Our horses seem to eat them without a problem (mixed with another supplement carrier), and these electrolytes seem to be doing the job during the 90-100 degree weather.

All Eaten!
I use to buy Fritz electrolytes in the powder form and he would always leave some in the bottom of his grain bucket. I felt like he was not getting what he needed and being wasteful. So I added the electrolytes to his SmartPak supplements and now everything is eaten!

Great Product
My horse needs to have more electrolytes. He would mildly colic due to lack of water intake. I tried many different things that he refused to eat. Then I heard about this Smartpak. It's a great comfort to know that he is now getting what he needs.

Perfect for my horse!
My horse is not a big drinker, but he sweat a TON. This supplement helps keep him hydrated, especially during the harder training days. I am very happy with these electrolytes. He also is a bit of a picky eater, but now he licks his bucket clean.

Does it’s job
My mare sweats a lot and I use this to replenish her. It seems to work. I don’t notice increased drinking or anything but no side effects. She eats it too which is a plus since she’s a pickier eater!

Picky horse loves his Smartlytes !
I have picky horses and they love this supplement. We have been struggling with our gelding drinking water in colder weather, since he has been on the smartlytes he has been drinking so much more !! We love Smartpak, and their awesome customer service team.

Making life simple

Okay, so this supplement definitely works but none of my herd likes the taste of it. Most of it sits in their tubs for most of the day until they decide to finish it and mostly it is because I've added sweet feed. But... it does make them drink lots of water.

Nice electrolye product!
Needed a palatable electrolyte that was easy on the horse's tummy for a horse show that got moved to August from June. Electrolytes are nicely packaged into pellets. My horses would eat these pellets straight out of my hands, so they never picked them out of their feed.

Horse likes it!
Noticed my guy wasn't sweating as expected when the weather turned hotter and humid, tried a different powder based product and horse would not touch it but he loves this pellet and within about 3 days he was looking like his old self and drinking plenty of water.

Very Effective
I bought this two months ago and have noticed a big change in my mare's breathing. Prior to using the SmartLytes she wheezed and had a dry mouth that she kept pushing away her smooth bit while under saddle. She now doesn't wheeze at all and has a nice amount of foam post ride. It has made a real, tangible difference in her ride. She is drinking a good amount of water now. Thanks!

Piper Tights
These tights were on special so I thought I'd give them a try. I usually ride in Kerrit tights, but the Pipers were one sale so I thought I'd give them a try. Both are nice but the Pipers have just a little thicker fabric which helps rein in the tummy bulge, giving me a slimer appearance! ;)

keeps my mind at ease
We live in balmy NC and after June they just sweat standing there (even in the shade). My horses who live out 24/7 have white salt sweat at the end of the day and giving them these lytes makes me feel like Im doing my part to keep them at their healthiest and promote drinking. Mine eat it up without a second thought. Will buy a bucket for the whole herd.

Actually NO star!
Horse will not eat, spits out and is off eatting the entire strip of supplements. He is leaving everything but the sweet feed. Has been eatting all his supplements for years and is now very wary of any adders. Terrible

Palatable and works well!
My whole gang gobbles this up with no problem. I find they all drink VERY well, no matter the season - they are all on this year round. It's an economical solution for peace of mind that they are drinking well in winter (and all other seasons), and my picky ponies eat it with no issue. It does fine when we soak grain as well, since some of ours do require that. No issues with eating (again, even for our picky ponies).

Eats it right up
My gelding will not lick a salt block no matter what I do, what flavor they are, etc.
We also had some scares with dehydration before I started this product during training in heat of the summer. Last summer not one dehydration episode. He eats them right up, topped dressed on his grain. I will definitely be starting these up again come spring to make sure he is getting his daily dose of electrolytes and stays on top of his game.

Works amazing
My horse even in the summer never drinks water and it’s always been slightly concerning to me because I would come see him after all day of being in a stall in the summer and he didn’t take a sip. Since I’ve put him on this he drinks like a normal horse!

Palatable and Effective
Using Smartlytes for a month with my 14 yo Trakehner mare who is in work and my 30yo Haflinger who is retired, has Cushings and a super thick coat - sweating and wasn't drinking enough. Both ate it without question. It's been excellent at restoring minerals and promoting good water intake for both.

Amazing results
My mare is a colic nightmare- and hates to drink out of anything besides a mud puddle. She also will not touch any powder electrolytes no matter how clever disguised. Since starting SmartLytes daily she drinks a full bucket almost every night (she was barely drinking 1/4 if I was lucky). She also gobbles them up with or without grain. So thankful to have found these!

Does the job!
We live in California and this summer has been extremely hot. Most days have been over 100. My horse has looked and felt better, very little sweating, this year.
