Replaces Key Minerals Lost In Sweat
Dehydration in horses has serious consequences. In order to keep your horse properly hydrated and performing his best, it is essential to supplement his diet with salt. Neither hay, pasture, nor fortified grain contain enough salt (sodium chloride) to meet your horse’s needs, and not all horses can get their requirements from a salt block alone. Feeding a well-balanced electrolyte supplement like SmartLytes Pellets can supply the sodium chloride your horse needs, in addition to the other electrolyte minerals that are lost in sweat - potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Supplying these electrolytes will also encourage your horse to drink more water, rebalancing his fluids and helping to ensure proper digestion of feeds.

Picky eater approved
I have tried so many electrolytes for my extremely picky guy. He won’t eat these ones alone but has no problem when mixed in his grain. These are the first electrolytes I have been able to get him to eat. I feel way less stressed going on long rides and feel better going into winter. I also appreciate the simple ingredients!

Wanted the horse to like it but she did not
Unfortunately the horse I needed electrolytes for did not like this supplement. She would avoid her grain once she tasted the supplement. She eats other SmartPak supplements fine just does not like this one.

Amazing!
I had only been feeding this for two days when I noticed a huge increase in my mares water intake! I was honestly shocked it worked so fast, she’s drinking almost more than half of what she was per day before! Definitely recommend this supplement!

Seems to do the job!
Bought these for hot Arizona weather for our horses. This is the second year of using this brand from SmartPak. Our vet recommended feeding electrolytes Apr-Oct for our hot climate here. Our horses seem to eat them without a problem (mixed with another supplement carrier), and these electrolytes seem to be doing the job during the 90-100 degree weather.

I use to buy Fritz electrolytes in the powder form and he would always leave some in the bottom of his grain bucket. I felt like he was not getting what he needed and being wasteful. So I added the electrolytes to his SmartPak supplements and now everything is eaten!

Great Product

Perfect for my horse!
My horse is not a big drinker, but he sweat a TON. This supplement helps keep him hydrated, especially during the harder training days. I am very happy with these electrolytes. He also is a bit of a picky eater, but now he licks his bucket clean.

Okay, so this supplement definitely works but none of my herd likes the taste of it. Most of it sits in their tubs for most of the day until they decide to finish it and mostly it is because I've added sweet feed. But... it does make them drink lots of water.

Nice electrolye product!
Needed a palatable electrolyte that was easy on the horse's tummy for a horse show that got moved to August from June. Electrolytes are nicely packaged into pellets. My horses would eat these pellets straight out of my hands, so they never picked them out of their feed.
