Wow, she likes it

Great Support for Horse with Ulcers
I got this when my vet recommended it after my horse was scoped and diagnosed with ulcers. We treated with 28 days of UlcerGuard and then I started the SmartGut, and wow! It has kept him happy and thus far it looks like the ulcers haven't returned. He eats the pellets right up. A great product that is keeping my horse very happy.

So far so good!
We are using Smartgut on several of our horses that seemed to be "uncomfortable" (e.g., didn't like being girthed, kicking out as if they might have ulcers). They have been on probiotics but we noticed an immediate effect. They all seem more comfortable and the behaviors are gone. Very happy!

hasn't worked yet...one month
We started it with omiprozole and went to a show. Had to scratch last day due to severe tummy issues. Vet advised to keep him on it another month to decide.

Great product
I bought this a month ago because my big gelding became a picky eater. He wouldn't finish his hay and sometimes wasn't interested in his grain. My vet suggested Smart Gut Ultra to soothe his GI tract. Within two weeks, my picky eater became a vacuum, and is finally putting on weight. Thank you Smart Pak!

Fabulous product!
I've been using this for several years in the powder form. It keeps my horse who has suffered from ulcers healthy and happy. My only issue is I preferred the powdered formula over the pellets. Wish you still made the powder.

Weight gain and attitude change
I was recommended this product by my vet after treating my thoroughbred for ulcers. My horse has been on this product for a little over a month and he has picked up weight and his attitude has been a lot better. He seems so much happier. I am confident this has been the reason!

Looks promiding
I can see that a lot of the activity to buffer acids is due to calcium and magnesium salts. I'm not sure if this would be safe for young growing horses as there is no phosphorous to keep calcium phos ratios less than 3:1. I would like to know more about that

Soothed a stressed rescued horse
Normandy has been very aggressive since arriving at the rescue farm. We tried calming products without much success. What if he has stomach issues due to stress as do humans? SmartPak and I decided to try SmartGut Ultra Pellets. And guess what? He seems to be settling down very nicely. His aggressiveness may, in fact, have been from pain.

This really works !!!
Our Paint Mare was diagnosed with Ulcers. We treated with meds and added Smart Gut Ultra to her daily suppliments. She has been off of her meds for some time and continues to stay happy and no more tummy issues thanks in part to this product. We will continue to use Smart Gut Ultra as part of her regular maintenance from now on...

Excellent Results
My quarter horse cutting mare has had intestinal issues. We had tried several different additives with very little success. SmartGut Ultra pellets have made a visible difference. She is no longer bloated and it is obvious that she is more comfortable.

Great product, horse loves it.
I bought this for a 24 year old mare that had developed a ulcer. After about 25 days on UlcerGard, I started her on the SmartGut Ultra. She loves it and is now eating much better and has better attitude.

Easy to feed
These are very easy to feed except that I have one horse that refuses to eat them. You can find the pellets all in the bottom of her bucket. My other horse eats then just fine but I think my mare has decided that they are something awful and won't touch them. I've tried mixing with different types of feed and nothing seems to work, she still leaves the little pile.

Seems to do the trick!
I've had reservations about trying this due the added cost to our suppliment regimen. But I have heard a lot about SmartGut Ultra and the research it has to back it up, especially when used alongside omeprezole (GastroGard/UlcerGard). I have had to treat and heal the ulcers 3 times (every six months) with GastroGard, they always come back, with the less effective support supplements I've used in the past. So far SmartGut Ultra has made my horse become more focused, she has calmed down, her eating has improved, and she's keeping on weight, she's seemingly happier then ever. The change is quite huge so far and I think it will only get better. We are on our second month! So far, so good!!

A peace of mind
My new gelding was under a lot of stress when we moved him to my barn, he seemed to get more irritable by the day. We suspected ulcers and so I put him on smartgut ultra to see if we would see any changes. Literally within a few days he was comfortable being groomed and much happier overall. Now that I know this about him, I've got a bunch of smartpak's probiotic pastes to give his gut a boost during times of stress as well. It's totally worth it!!

Great product that works
Have a horse that was stressing about being away from his original herd. Sure he had some mild ulcers. This product has helped him tremendously. He's not pinning, he's eating better and gaining weight. Great product that didn't take anytime for the horse to like. Have another order on the way. Thanks! Have already recommended this to friends

My horse has been on preventative dose of Gastrogard for over a year. Now with the new study about the SmartGut controlling ulcers I have switched him. He has not had any flare ups in the 2 months he's been on the product.

Very pleased!!!
After just a couple weeks on this product, I noticed a big difference in my TB mare. She had started to show symptoms of an upset tummy, and this resolved the issues quickly! Definitely reccomend this for horses with sensitive stomachs!

Life-changer!
My horse used to be very ulcer prone. I have previously treated him 3 times for ulcers. He could go about 6 months ulcer-free before the ulcers returned with a vengeance. I tried other supplements that unfortunately did not work for my horse. During his last ulcer treatment, I have realized I had to take much more drastic measures. I started with a complete overhaul of his feeding routine and added SmartGut Ultra for comprehensive "gut" support. Going on 3 years strong with healthy gut! My horse gobbles all his food now, is very pleasant for grooming including his loins, stays calm and focused during training and handles life changes with poise. I am very happy that this product has worked for my horse!

Happier Horse
This is our second month on Smartgut Ultra and my horse appears to be responding well. He was never diagnosed with ulcer or gut problems but he did have some of the signs of having an ulcer. One thing that is very obvious is that my horse is much happier. He was known as the grump and now he is so sweet and pleasant to be around. He is a very different horse.

Not sure yet!
I started this product a little over a month ago. My mare has been cinchy and I was hoping this product would relieve this. I might be seeing a little difference, but not enough to say that this product is making a big change. I will continue it for another month, then re-evaluate. As far as my mare liking the SmartGut. She dives right in, so taste is not an issue. I do trust Smart Pak products, so I am thinking that maybe SmartGut is not what my mare needs. If she did, then I know changes would be happening. Will revisit the review in another month, and hopefully will have some more positive changes to report.

Palatable and Easy to Use
I put my horse, who has a history of severe ulcers, on this product at the start of winter as aan ulcer preventative supplement. She has maintained her weight and eats well. There is no sign of pacing and she appears content.

This is our second bucket of SmartGut Ultra and we are very pleased so far with the outcome. After a successful ulcer treatment with GastroGaurd we wanted something to maintain good gut health and SmartGut Ultra was recommend by our veterinarian. We will continue to use indefinitely!
