Great Product!
I’ve been ordering these supplements for the last two months and I’m nothing but happy with this product and how it’s helped my horse! He had a severe case of ulcers and after I got rid of them I immediately put him on the smart gut supplements. However, they just weren’t doing a well enough job in my opinion, so I ordered these, and the price is definitely worth the difference. My horse seems more forward, less sensitive, and his poops are now solid. Best product!

Working great to prevent ulcers
My mini horse is prone to colics caused by ulcers. Prior to this, he was having multiple episodes per year and needing prescription medication. He’s an extremely picky eater so getting him to eat any supplements is a challenge. He LOVES his daily “treat” of SmartGut Ultra. Because of his size, he only gets a little but he will hunt down any pellets that get dropped. He has been on it for 6 months with zero colic issues, which is a record for him.

Ulcers show already in healing!
This was my very first time buying smartpaks, and I had bought this product for my OTTB as we suspected he had some Gastric Ulcers, and I wanted to give him as much relief as possible before his Scoping. About a week into feeding the supplement I had certainly noticed major changes in his behavior, less nippy, and he had dropped his cribbing habit, those results were certainly enough to convince me. The time to scope him came around and we were extremely shocked to find that the Ulcers were already in the healing process, our vets only explanation is SmartGut Ultra, a good diet, and lots of pasture. Thanks to SmartPak my boy is looking to make a much faster recovery, with Ulcer Guard and SmartGut Ultra, we will most certainly be keeping him on SmartGut Ultra for a very long time!

I got my horse back!
I have had my horse on this for 28 days and what a difference. I would encourage you to listen to your horse and when something changes, look for the reason. I suspected ulcers when my lazy and "all whoa, barely any go" horse suddenly did NOT want to even walk forward. I took the saddle off. I asked people to see if he was lame. It didn't matter how animated I was with kicking or my dressage whip, he did not want to move forward. I had to have someone chase me around with a lunge whip to get him going. This happened 2 days in a row and I knew something was wrong. He also became spooky when a bought him ( a few months prior to suspecting ulcers) and he really didn't go back to the quiet, laid back and calm horse I bought. Most everyone at my barn blamed his attitude for the issues and thankfully, I didn't listen to them. They basically said that he didn't have enough symptoms to have ulcers and I said that I didn't want to wait until he was bucking and rearing at girthing before I did something about it. I researched and decided on smartgut Ultra and put him on ulcer guard for a week while I waited for the supplement to arrive. He also got a week off because I knew he was hurting. 10 days later, I had a different horse. A month later and my horse hasn't spooked in the last 2 weeks (he's had plenty of reasons, too!). He's not irritated. He's willing. He's willing to trot and walk when asked. Sometimes horses are subtle and if you suspect something has changed, trust your gut! This supplement is fantastic and I will be keeping him on it. I also give him Purina Outlast treats a few days a week as well. I believe that works by making their stomachs less acidic.

My horse is doing well on SmartGut Ultra pellets. My Veterinarians had recommended this product after diagnosis of ulcers. After our initial medication treatments, SmartGut Ultra has helped my horse feel his best. I am happy with SmartPak products.

Great support for my ulcer prone horse
I had my mare on SmartGut for prevention after she had some pyloric ulcers a year and a half ago. She still gets ulcery with changes such as the new arena being put in (trucks coming and going next to the paddocks), herd changes, etc. I wanted to see if switching to SmartGut Ultra would improve her tummy issues. She has been so much more relaxed with the switch. The trucks have been coming and going again, bringing new footing in and she doesn't even look. Part of her herd left for a show and it's not a big deal this time. She still has the same energy and curiosity, just not the typical signs of an upset GI that she normally might get with these changes.

Happy Mare!
My mare has always been a little nervous. We have been showing ARHA quite a bit this past two summers and she was showing beginning signs of gastric distress. (Not eating well at home and on the road, grouchy, etc.)
This product has helped her tummy chill out, she is eating great at home and on the road, and back to her wonderful sweet self.
Thanks SP for making a easy to use, effective, and palatable product!
