Did not help
My horse was treated for ulcers for 30 days and I bought this to prevent future episodes. He has been on this product for approximately a month and still not gaining weight and showing ulcer behavior. He doesn’t sta least eat it which isn’t more than I can’t say about the weight gain product.

So disappointed in this supplement!
I have had my horse on SmartGIUltra for years and loved the added benefit of the insurance for colic but it doesn't prevent ulcers at all. My horse has pasture access every day all afternoon, I feed no grain and he is not a show horse or ridden hard at all and access of as much hay as he wants when in his stall with large run. I can't understand why he now has ulcers again. The amounts of lecithin, pectin and slippery elm etc are just not nearly enough for preventing ulcers. I am going to give lecithin in addition but what a waste of my money just to have the colicare. I hope he never colics. I still recommend it for other reasons but not ulcers obviously!

Awesome and Works!
My horse would have minor colic episodes (banamine would cure it), we think from ulcers in the hind gut. He was on omeprazole because it was show season and he gets ulcers easily. After being on Smart GI he hasn't had any colic episodes!

Awesome product
I purchased this for my 3 y/o OTTB who started showing some mild ulcer symptoms. Per his chiropractor he was mildly reactive over his ulcer points so I figured I’d try this before moving on to scoping and ulcerguard. He was on it for one month before she came back to see him again and she was amazed with the difference in him. Before I even told her what I had done differently she commented on how different his eye looked.....softer, peaceful. He was noticeably less tense and only needed a slight adjustment to his SI joint.....neck and back were supple and without issue!
I 100% feel this has made a big difference! Will be continuing indefinitely.....and the ColiCare program is an awesome perk!

Mare is looking great!
Our mare was found to have horrible ulcers. After her treatment on gastogaurd and other items I was looking for something to help keep healing on track and help prevent further outbreaks.
This seems to be doing those things.

2 happy horses
This is only my second order of the SmartGi Ultra, but I noticed a very marked improvement in both horses. The one horse was a huge difference and for the first time in a long time she isn't cinchy and she is much less gasy as well. Thank you to SmartPak for this great product.

Did not work!
After treating my horse with Gastrogard I chose to use this as a preventative. I started it while I was weaning my horse off the GG. It did not work, my horses ulcer behavior came right back after we were off GG. I needed something to start working immediately not 2 months later. So if you are in a situation similar to mine I would NOT recommend this product. The price was WAY too high for a product that was not working in a timely manner.
I gave this 3 stars because of how AMAZING Smart Paks customer service was. They immediately/no questions asked offered me a refund or store credit. I chose a credit and used it to buy KER Ritetrac which is working amazingly.

Great combination of ingredients
I no longer give aloe vera separately or alfalfa because this product has aloe vera and the Calcium I wanted in the alfalfa. Yay!

Great Product

Peace of Mind!
Started my guy on SmartGI Ultra shortly after purchasing him. Literally everything in his life was going to change which concerned me. I started him on SmartGI Ultra and enrolled him in colicare. I felt really good knowing I was giving him the best and doing the best I could to keep him healthy. I also had the security of colicare in the event the uncontrollable happened. I commend the SmartGI for aiding me in his transition.

Shiny coat!!
I put my 18 year old Reiner on this for the probiotic absorption benefits. His coat has never looked better! He shines so much he looks wet! Quality ingredients from a quality company. Hopefully will this help him continue to digest the nutrients that will keep him feeling great for many more years to come!

Happier horse
I've had my show horse on SmarGI Ultra pellets for 2 months. He is less girthy, and eats all his grain. Before using this product, he was a picky eater, and was very girthy. I had treated him with Ulcerguard for 28 days before starting the SmartGI, and then added the SmartGI Ultra Pellets as a daily supplement. He was solely on the SmartGI Ultra Pellets for at least 6 weeks now. I added the Ulcerguard when I went to a recent show (where normally he would be quite girthy, moody, and go off his feed). He was happy, had a good appetite, and wasn't girthy at all. I will continue to SmartGI and start other horses on it!

The only thing that works for my senior Percheron
My late 20s Percheron has had digestive issues since I got him several years ago - his manure will go to 100% liquid in response to changes in diet and stress. I tried several digestive supplements before I found SmartGI Ultra SmartPaks, and after adjusting the dose for his draft horse weight (he gets 4 wells when he needs it), we finally have it under control! He still occasionally has loose manure - when the grass comes up in spring, for example - but I give him all 4 wells in anticipation of diet changes and it only lasts a day or so. Then when everything is stable I back off to 2 wells. This is an expensive supplement, but adjusting the dosage to the situation helps. He's happy and healthy as I've ever seen him, and that makes it worth it!

Great gut supplement
I got a new horses and she was having a hard time shedding out. Started on this and she slicked out quickly with dapples! She eats it well and has good stools (no diarrhea even when stressed).

It's alwAys such a pleasure to work with the staff at SmartPak. Easy to talk through the problems you are facing and the Team always has ideas and suggestions .... but is never pushy about trying a product, just make it easy to do so . My guy has immune system issues and is not an easy fix. He learned to eat the additive and tolerated it well but never resolved the tobacco juice drainage that has become persistent . I am sure it's his issue and the product is fine-

Peace of mind
I really like the fact that this product covers the stomach and hind gut all in one supplement. My horse is a reiner, and even though he hasn't colicked, or hasn't shown signs of ulcers, it gives me peace of mind. He has a high stress job and and could easily have those issues, but I'm confident now that he will be in great shape for a long time.
