I started feeding this to my gelding while he was being treated for ulcers and continued to feed it after the treatment had ended. He was treated with omeprazole for 30 days and during that 30 days as well as for 2 months afterwards I have been feeding SmartGI and within a 2 weeks my gelding was acting ulcery again. Now I'm treating for ulcers yet again and trying another supplement that I hopefully have better luck with because unfortunately this did NOTHING for my horse. The only good thing about this is that my picky horse actually ate it.

Life changing for me and my older gelding
My 29 year old gelding has been on this for close to a year now after many years of dealing with awful loose manure especially in the winter (which was really fun when it froze to him and his blankets-just terrible)! I noticed that it was helping him after about a month on it and he has continued to improve. Since seasonal changes between grass and hay are hard on him I have kept him on it year round and it has helped him so much. This is the first winter I can say he has actually had solid manure and no messy rear end and blankets. I am forever grateful to Smartpak and he will be staying on this for sure! I had tried several different supplements prior to this that didn't work for him so it is worth a try if your horse has loose manure issues.

Scoping proved effective!
My dressage pony (who occasionally jumps) has been on SmartGI for a few years because he was prone to ulcers when we purchased him (he was a nervous boy and we do a lot of traveling). Recently I suspected ulcers based on a change in behavior and had him scoped. He scoped perfectly clean! I will continue to use this product and recommend it highly!

Don't see a difference
I'm on my second month of this in my horse's SmartPak and I don't see a difference in my mare, other than she's suddenly acting like a nervous wreck. I don't know if this supplement is causing this sudden change in behavior, but it started right around the time that I started giving her SmartGI. After I finish the SmartPaks I currently have, I'm going to stop giving this to her and cross my fingers that she returns back to her normal self.

Easy to feed
Easy to feed, my horse liked it. It’s hard to tell after only 1 month if it is working. It is a bit pricey. I looked me all that it has in it, especially after colic surgery .

My mare is doing well on them
I bought this a month ago and the old 36 yo mare hasn't had any diarrhea issues since she's been o them. I think they are really helping..and she readily eats them!

My mare would dump her food all over the ground and pick through it with every other pre/pro biotic that I have tried. Now she gobbles this up with her grain like its a treat.

Cleared up my horses' hind gut ulcers.
My vet and I Succeed tested my horse for ulcers after her was exhibiting some unusual behavior. The test showed positive for hind gut ulcers (not fore gut). I decided to try SmartGI first. If that didn't work, I was going to try UltraGI. Within 2 months, we Succeed tested him again and he was completely clear. No signs of ulcers. Since it worked so well I am going to keep him on it for a while. Well worth the money and my horse no longer has a belly ache :)

Seems to help
I have an older gelding I have had since he was five. Never had any problems eating or runny poops. The last couple of years noticed he was having intermittent diarrhea, along with attitude change. Very very grumpy and lethargic. I tried all sorts of things, including elimating supplements all together. Nothing helped. Finally I treated him for 10 days with ulcer guard and then followed with this product based on reviews. He has been on it now for about a month and noticed he seems back to old happy self. Eating like he used to, no more diarrhea, but will still have an occasional 'spackle' butt. I am optimistic but still reserved for continued use. Overall, I am going to keep him on this until I notice anything different.

Great stuff
My horse has been on this a little more than a month, I got it because she was having a few runny piles of manure in the mornings for quite awhile
She's done great on it no more runs an her manure looks great an I believe she feels lots better as she's running in her field more☺

Works!
My older gelding has had a chronic problem with a leaky bowel, dribbling down his legs, for a couple of years. I have tried a number of supplements and diet changes and this supplement seems to be working pretty well.

This really helped my aged mini
I think this is a good product. I will continue to use it. My only suggestion would be to put it in a bucket. The ziplock bag is annoying. :)

So happy!
I have a 8 yr old QH gelding that I show regionally who has suffered from some intestinal problems recently. His appetite had gotten extremely picky. Things he used to inhale would suddenly go untouched in his bucket and what he liked and didn't like kept changing. I was going insane with worry trying to figure out what would keep him happy as he started losing weight. He is a very good tempered horse and I became especially alarmed when his usually unflappable attitude at shows changed to one of agitation during our last outing. I suspected ulcers and put him on Ulcergaurd for a period of time, without a noticeable difference. I decided it wouldn't hurt to switch his supplements to the SmartGI after reading up on the ingredients and reviews. Much to my surprise and pleasure, within a week my gelding was cleaning up his meals and had returned to his usual self during our rides and I couldn't be happier. I've always been happy with my Smartpaks but I've never had such fast and noticeable results. So so incredibly happy with this supplement and he will never be without it again!

Just What My Horse Needed
I started my horse on this supplement a little over a month ago and I'm so glad I did. Previously she was on U-Gard for ulcer prevention and although that is a great product, I felt she still needed more support especially since her workload had increased. A couple weeks before moving to a new barn I noticed her acting more anxious than usual. Obviously a big part of that was the stress of my old barn, but even when she moved to a better environment she still seemed anxious. After only 2 or 3 days on this supplement, my horse was so much more relaxed and content. I wasn't the only one who noticed either. I love that this one supplement provides protection for the whole digestive tract. My horse will definitely have this supplement in her smartpaks from now on.

My horse has been on this for a little over a month. Bought it after reading all the reviews. My OTTB cribs while in his stall and has intermittent loose manure. Haven't seen that much of a difference yet. Hope that it helps alieve both issues that maybe related to possible hind gut ulcers or stomach discomfort. My horse actually eats this and he is very picky.

Smart GI Pellets
I have been giving my QH mare this product for about a year. She seems to have a very sensitive digestive system, and this makes her feel right. When I started giving it to her her poops were like a cows. One vet said it's because there's too much sugar in her hay (?). Another said she may have ulcers.. Who knows? She isn't the kind of horse that would be easy to scope, no way could she stand an empty stomach. So now, no matter what hay she's on, no cow poops, just a happy horse.

Just not for my horse
This product just wasnt for my horse. He had an allergic reaction but smartpak gave me a credit. Cant say if it wont work for your own horse.

Great for ulcers!
I started both my OTTB geldings on this for severe ulcers. In less than a month I've seen major attitude changes in my boys. They are doing great!

i think this one is right!
We started with Harmony for my fussy mare with no results. Then we went to Tranquility only to have her alittle too laid back but no attitude change. Lacey is now on Smart GI, and our fussy/bad attitude has mellowed some. I think she had some tummy upset. Previous was stressful because of a over demanding, overbearing owner. Hope we continue with good results!
