A research study has shown through the use of the Diamond V in vitro intestinal activity modifier model (IAMM), it was demonstrated that SmartDigest Ultra, SmartDigest Ultra Pellets, and SmartGI Ultra Pellets - which all contain DVEquine postbiotic-produce higher levels of VFAs (volatile fatty acids) than an alfalfa/grass hay mix alone and may support the normal, healthy structure and function of the hindgut of the horse.

Good supplement but my horse will not eat anymore
My horse was eating this great and looked good, and then suddenly stopped the last month or so. I've tried reintroducing but then won't touch her grain at all if this is in there. Did the formula change in the last few months? I may try one of the combo supplements to see if she'll eat that.

Amazing support!
The SmartDigest Ultra Pellets are my favorite for hindgut support! I feed this supplement to all of my Thoroughbreds. I love knowing that I am supporting their digestive systems, especially during times of travel and showing. This supplement has helped with chronic loose stool and is great for horses that are underweight to ensure they are able to utilize the nutrients from their feed. Best of all, this supplement is ColiCare eligible when purchased in SmartPaks! This program makes this supplement a must for all of my horses.

So far so good!
We just started our second month on this supplement. After losing my last horse unexpectedly to colic, I knew I wanted to start my new guy on something right away. This gives me peace of mind that I’m feeding him something that will help keep colic at bay and in the event of an emergency, will help cover the cost of surgery though I hope we never need it! My guy eats the supplement no problem and the Smartpaks make it easy for the barn to keep track and give him the right amount every time.
The qualifications for reimbursement are super simple veterinary care things I do anyways. Thank you Smartpak for making a great product you stand behind :)

Our favorite Digestive Supplement
SmartDigest Ultra Pellets is by far one of my favorite supplements that SmartPak carries. I've used it for many horses over the years, but I recently rescued an underweight Morgan who had super loose stool upon her arrival to me. We immediately started the SmartDigest Ultra Pellets and saw a difference within a super short period of time. Not only did this help her digestive system, but it also gave her the most beautiful shine and I knew it helped a ton with proper nutrient absorption of her other supplements, grain and hay.
I do believe every horse could benefit from a digestive supplement and what better than a super comprehensive and thoughtful formula like this one? ColiCare is also a huge benefit of choosing this product. You receive a great product and also a great program to back it. Hopefully you never have to think about colic surgery, but if you do, ColiCare will give you great piece of mind!

No brainer!

Picky eater approved!
Takoda is SO picky but he eats the SmartPak SmartDigest pellets without any issues. He’s never been a horse with known GI upset but it gives me the peace of mind that he is being supported.

From clumpy pyramids to normal nuggets!
I've had my mule for six months and he's always pooed a soft pyramid. Not nuggets, but not cow patty. When any stress happens however, straight to cow patty. So I started him on this for the yeast and biotics. 3 weeks in now and he has normal nuggets! We'll be going to our first show since starting him on it in two days, so fingers crossed he still has good poos. But so far, I'm really happy with this product!

Post colic surgery necessity
My mare went through a difficult colic surgery 7 months ago. The vet was not able to remove a lot of her damaged guts, so we just hoped for the best. I have had her on smart digest since bringing her home and always will. No issues so far!

Fantastic!! Mares stools went from loose to normal
After years of owning my mare and several months into having finally moved her home her stools went 100% south. No form and completely loose. I have her and my gelding on Timothy Hay and Alfalfa cubes. I tried all sorts of probiotics for MONTHS to turn her stools around as well as leaned on some friends for recommendations and bought what they swore by. No improvement. Finally, called vet and ran her through several Rx courses of treatment. Still no luck. I felt horrible about this and was not at all comfortable with this being her reality moving forward. Finally, I called Smartpak and told them the entire play by play and they recommended SmartDigest Ultra. I had nothing left to loose and went for it. INCREDIBLE. This was an ongoing issue for a year with her and within 3 weeks of being on it her stools started turning around and shortly there after they went to normal and have been so for 6 months and counting. She eats it great in her cup of grain she gets daily. So grateful! Between this and being dialed in on same hay source and same brand of cubes she is great now. Really appreciate the product, knowledgeable & helpful staff and the entire system which makes dosing my horses a no brainer for me, or my family if they need to step in an feed for me. Thanks so much!

Seems to work
I’m on my second month of feeding this to my gelding. He has 24/7 access to a round bale but would get loose stool for a day or two every time a new bale was put in the paddock. He is a paint with an all white tail and hind legs, so he would be pretty gross. Since putting him on this supplement, his stool has stayed a good consistency and the changing of round bales doesn’t seem to upset his system anymore.

Helped my weanling
Having loose stools on a weanling is not what you want. He eats this right out of my hand and his stools are at a better quality. I believe everything starts and ends with the gut.
