My horse is thriving on this supplement!
I started my 6yo OTTB gelding on this supplement about 2 months ago and it has significantly improved his coat and body condition. He had gotten a little dull and was showing more ribs than I liked with the bad summer weather and flies this season. But after having him on this supplement, and not changing anything else with his feed or turnout/stabling schedule, or much of his regular work routine, he has filled back again and is back to having a shiny coat. (And I think his new hoof growth is looking a little better than how his hooves were looking, too.) While he wasn't acting or performing "badly" before, I have noticed some improvement in his workability and willingness under saddle, suggesting that he feels a little better overall (whether that's through his GI system, his joints, or both). And we loves the taste of it - he eats it right on top of his grain.

Great for my young horse
SmartCombo Ultra Pellets are an awesome supplement for my young Thoroughbred that just started over fences. I love that this product supports his slow-growing hooves and helps maintain his joints. I also feel good knowing he is getting pre and probiotics to support his hindgut while traveling to horse shows or during tough rides.

Horse wouldn't eat it
This product has everything I wanted in a supplement, unfortunately my horse wouldn't eat it. My horse is NOT a picky eater, he has never not finished every morsel in his feed bucket but unfortunately wouldn't touch this.

Hated Taste
He simply hated the smell and or taste. Tried flavoring with other things like peppermint and molasses but still refuses even with reduced amounts,

Smartpak to the Rescue!!!
So my 18h 4 y.o was digging 2x2 foot holes in the paddock. As you can imagine how we continuously lost shoes and filling in holes daily became a chore… after a short time on his Smartpaks, we have a happy boy, happy farrier and happy Mum!

Her coat is glowing!
Stella is an 11yo AQHA chestnut and I can tell a difference in her coat after only a few short weeks on this supplement. She was also rubbing her tail and losing quite a bit of it as a result. I am pleased to say that it is growing back beautifully. I can only imagine if the outside results of this supplement is such a success, that it is benefitting her internally as well.

Loved it--until something changed
My gelding was on this for over four years, ate it without fail, and I really liked what it did for him--such an easy way for all-around supplementation. Unfortunately, something must have changed earlier this year because he just stopped eating it. I kept him on it for a few months hoping he'd pick it back up again, but the barn staff were having to clean it out of his bucket. He'd eat around it, every day, for months. But if your horse will eat it, it's great!

So far so good
I switched to this formula because it contained a few additional joint ingredients that I think are beneficial. My horse didn’t want to eat the pellets at first, but is now finishing them in his evening grain.

I used to have my mare on smart GI ultra for awhile and than noticed they also sold combos with joint and other supplement mixed in one!
so I switched to smart combo ultra! And it has same exact Ingredients as the smart gi ultra plus much more! Only thing missing is the aloe so I added leg up stomach pellets also to her smartpaks too and been working out great!
Also has a garlicy smell to it so hoping will help with the flies too! She is a picky eater and eats it no issues :)

So much improvement!
My horse had a terrible case of Lyme disease. She had severe muscle wasting, her coat was terrible, and she had patches of rain rot. Even after the antibiotics, she was listless and looked awful; vets were telling me she might never be “herself” again.
I decided we needed to give her the best nutritional support we could. We added some high protein feed, and smart ultra. It’s been 6 months since then, and she is healthy and shiny. She’s building top line and she looks like the Lyme never even happened.
As a plus, my farrier pointed out to me that the new growth in her feet is much healthier than the old growth. She had me look at the fact the old growth was full of little fractures, but the new growth is tight and smooth

Easy to use
Hopefully this is a great product because I put all three of my horses on it which isn’t cheap especially during this very hard time we are going through. All three of my horses had a hard time adjusting to this new product but after a month now they are eating it much better.

Gave me my horse back
My horse has only been on this for two weeks and I’m already blown away. We’ve been dealing with stomach issues and mild lameness for a couple of years now. A vet designed diet got his stomach issues under control but he just hasn’t been 100%. Within a week of starting this supplement I saw the spark come back into his eye. At two weeks, he looks young and happy again! The muscles in his hindquarters have relaxed where they were overly tight and he’s able to collect under saddle better than ever before. He’s less antsy but also has more energy to run and play. I’ve tried so many supplements before this and nothing really made a dent. I’m thrilled to see how he keeps improving with it.
The only negative is the taste. My gelding will eat anything but I had some difficulty getting him to eat it. For now I’m able to mask it with alfalfa cubes or apple juice, so I’m just hoping that keeps working.

I have never had my horses refuse a SmartPak pelleted supplement- until now! Only 1 Out of 4 will eat it so I have piles of this expensive SmartPak on hand.

Horse has never looked or felt better!
I had been struggling to find a product that fit my budget that would cover gastric and joint health, especially. This product is the best thing I could find and I could not be happier. My horse's stomach is finally under control, though we will see what happens with his issues in the Spring when he's exposed to fructans again in high concentrate. I am hoping this product will help. Aside from that, he went from thin soles in his feet and being able to wait 7 weeks before getting new shoes to having thick soles and having to be done every five weeks because his feet are growing so fast! In addition to my farrier raving about how great his feet are now, his coat has never been shinier. I don't see myself taking him off this product for many years to come, plus who doesn't love the added ColiCare bonus!
Not to mention my horse has tended to be fairly picky when it comes to his meals and he loves this!

Beware! Misleading advertising
My mare has been on SmartCombo Ultra Pellets for 2 months. She just spent 3 days in the ICU after colicking. Luckily she didn't need surgery BUT I learned that because my Ultra Pellets come in bulk, my mare is ineligible for ColiCare. Look at the photo on this page! Look again on the website. It clearly shows "ColiCare eligible" on the bulk container. Don't make the mistake I did.
After 12 years of loyalty to this company I was told that they don't cover bulk because they don't trust how it will be administered (Really? I spent >$700 for both my horses to be on colic protection and they don't think I'll administer it correctly?!?!?) Let's not forget what happened here. My mare colicked on this product.
Shame on you SmartPak for treating a loyal customer this way. And probably many others too.

Great Price, Benefits and Results!!
When I purchased Camila four months ago she was slightly underweight, undermuscled and had TERRIBLE feet due to road founder. She was not sound the day she came home and remained unsound for my first two months of owning her.
I purchased Camila with the knowledge that she would take time, effort and a lot of money to get performance-ready. Having been on Smartpak's SmartCombo since she arrived, the supplements have given me the shiniest, happiest, beautiful OTTB I could have ever asked for. I can sleep easy knowing she is enrolled in Smartpak's ColiCare program, her she has nearly grown an entire, beautiful new hoof and has not blown an abscess in several months. I also know that she has proper joint maintenance with the MSM and glucosamine, as well as a broad coverage of overall support. I definitely recommend and love this product!
