Smart & Simple DMG is an economical way to support your horse’s normal muscle function and recovery. DMG may be beneficial for horses prone to muscle soreness and tying-up. DMG also serves as an antioxidant and helps support a healthy inflammatory response. This formula provides 1,500 mg of pure DMG (Dimethylglycine) blended with rice bran and fenugreek. Too Soon to Tell
I purchased DMG three weeks ago and have found it to be helpful in allowing my horse to recover during a heavy work training schedule. I'm not fully aware of the benefits but have seen no downside at this point. My goal was to find a product which allowed my horse's muscles to recover quickly while increasing his work stamina.

Helped TB mare build muscle!
Even though this product is not advertised to build muscle in horses I saw an immediate change in my horse's condition and lean muscle development wihtout changing her exercised/conditioning program. Her stamina was improved and recovery took a lot less time! She didn't even leave any behind in her bucket.

My horse has been less sore
My horse would get a little sore through the haunches and back as he learns to use his hind quarters and swing through. Since putting him on DMG, he seems to be hardly sore at all. He doesn't like the taste though, so I have to mix it with a little sweet feed and corn oil.

Part of the my pak
My 06 TB is on SmartDMG for the anti-inflammatory benefits. He sat in a field with his mom for the first 4 years of his life before I purchased him. After my training season slowed down I started the long process of breaking him out. Being severely out of shape, I wanted to help him recover from actually "working" for the first time in his life. I think that this is a good choice for those who are also budget conscious.

Unexpected benefit
I added this to my Warmbloods ration as he is getting very fit and I wanted to be sure he is getting all the support he needs. What I didn’t expect was a big improvement in his attitude; he was starting to get reactionary and “study” around other horses and now he’s mister cool again. I love having my relaxed horse back. Even the help at the barn have remarked on the change in him. Thanks Smart Pak!

Wish it came in pellets
I put my horse on this a while back when I started riding really hard (6x a week). She is now 18 yrs young and going strong. Its hard to really tell if it is working because I started consistent riding and other supplements at the same time. BUT she has not had any muscle problems and at this price why not?? I must add that out of all my friends horses she tends to be the least sore. I can't tell if that is from her other supplements, consistent riding, proper saddle fitting, etc. but I thought I might add that in. But I do wish it came in pellets so my horse wouldn't have so much powder in her grain.

For tying up
I bought Smart DMG with the suspicion that one of my horses may be tying up. We just recently started the supplement but I do feel that his strides are getting longer again. I think may be he was putting forth less effort on purpose (lazy)! All in all, I noticed the difference after starting SmartDMG and will continue its use for his comfort and performance.

I am very happy with this supplement. I got a sample first and decided to sample the Vita Flex DMG at the same time. My mare much preferred this product and I preferred its price!

Great for tying up
My mare has been having a problem with mildly tying up recently. We've attributed the cause to her being heavily muscled and stress (she's a 6 year old mustang who gets very hyper). This supplement in combination with SmartCalm so far has been helping my mare not tie up. She's eating it no problem (it smells delicious, I want to eat it myself). Plus SmartPak has great customer service. A few days after my smartpaks arrived (in their own drawer) I got a follow up call seeing if the supplements came and how well they were working. GREAT for easing soreness
I really put SmartDMG to the test this past weekend. My horse has typically shown signs of muscle soreness after a couple days in a row of harder training or after shows. This time I decided to add SmartDMG to his diet a week before the show, during the show weekend (and will continue to for the next few days). I am VERY happy to report that he shows almost none of the usual "ouchieness" that he tends to display after these intense physical workouts. Thanks on behalf of my horse!

My horse was prone to tying up!
I have started her on this supplement. She is already showing signs of being less sore, even after long rides or shows!
See my horse was getting tired as a sign of sore leg muscles! I realized I needed to change! This seemed to have done the job!
I can't wait to try SmartMuscle Stamina also!

Pretty good
Smells wonderful, and my horse loves it, but there was no real change in her training after giving time to get into her system. There are studies that have shown that DMG has little effect on overall performance for horses such as Dressage horses, although this product will probably yield better results from a Eventer or race horse needing more ATP uptake.

Has Worked Wonders
Smart DMG has made a huge difference with my Arabian. After he had showed in March he was showing signs of sore muscles and I decided to try this product. He has been on it for three months now and there is such an improvement. No more soreness in his triceps and back! Love Smart DMG!

STARTING AN OLDER HORSE
This product has worked really well for re-starting my 15yr old Off Track Thoroughbred Gelding in Dressage. I began working him on a daily routine and this product, I believe, has helped him recover from the workouts. Highly recommend and he loves the taste!!

Better then others
The Smartpak verision of DMG is great. It has a nice smell and the texture is more like a coffee grind. The other DMG i was getting smelled funky and was like flour.
I thankfully dont have a picky eater. But personally it seems like a better choice if he was.

Different is good!
DMG is more subtle in its actions than, for example, a calmative or hoof supplement, and therefore harder to assess in terms of effectiveness. I'll just say I wouldn't feed it to my horse if I didn't think it was doing some good. When I first saw the Smart DMG, I was surprised at its apppearance and smell; it's not like any other DMG supplement I've seen. After using it, I've decided that (borrowing a phrase here) "different is good." It doesn't cake up like the DMG I'd been using previously, and my horse seems to like the taste. I dumped the whole compartment's worth in at once, instead of adding a little at a time the way I usually do, and he cleaned it all up anyway. It's almost meal-like in consistency, so when I mixed it into his feed it blended well and didn't sift out in the feed tub. The price is comparable to what I was paying for one brand and much less than the others.

Happy Muscles
