Effective and inexpensive
My mare is on this product and we love it. I purchased her in the winter and didn’t get to experience her cycle into months after owning her. She wasn’t moody just very uncomfortable and jumpy, not wanting to take contact and super hollowed out. I wanted to take the most natural route for helping her first before trying more intense hormonal routes. This worked right off the bat. I literally cannot tell when she is in heat now. She’s so much more comfortable and confident at all times. Before starting this she was a more “aware” horse and would be a bit on the spooky side. That has changed as well with this product. She’s very consistent now and isn’t so “looky”. Love this product

Mare is much happier
My mares first heat of the year was intense and lasted forever but she seemed much better after starting her on this. I wasn’t sure if it was the chasteberry until my replacement order was delayed and I ran out. She immediately went into a raging heat and was suffering with pain and swelling. I will definitely keep her on this. I’m a believer

Amazing Supplement for my Pony!
I had my veterinarian run an ACTH test to see if my grandaughter's pony, Pumpkin was indeed suffering from any pituitary issues. The test came back high-normal. Even before the testing, I knew he had something going on. He doesn't shed his heavy coat in the spring so we must body clip him for comfort starting in mid-March to early April. My other horse is already shedding out by early spring. My other horse is already shedding out by early spring. . Pumpkin's coat would grow right back, requiring monthly body clips all summer. Luckily, he is doing very well with muscle health. He is also on the Smart Muscle Mass.
Pumpkin has been on Smart & Simple™ Chasteberry Pellets now for over a year. By giving him the recommended half dose, he is a small welsh pony under 500 lbs, of Chasteberry with his daily supplements it keeps that coat from growing back. It has also, promoted normal shedding.
I have been extremely happy with the results of Smart & Simple™ Chasteberry Pellets and highly recommend it to anybody having shedding issues with their horse or pony.

Chasteberry seems to be helping my Cushing's pony.
This 12.2 H pony came to me weighing over 900 lbs and densely thick hair. She seemed tired and depressed. I could not afford Pergolide so I decided to give Chasteberry a try after reading some encouraging studies. She has lost weight on my control program, is brighter, and has more energy. I have had to body clip her as it is quite warm here. But, overall, I see a marked improvement in her health. I am halfway through my second month on the product.

This helps calm my gelding
On the advice of my vet, I tried this supplement for my sometimes feisty gelding who gets a little crazy around the mares. This past spring I didn’t miss any rides when the mares were in heat at the barn. That’s a huge win!

No improvement, sadly.
I’ve tried this for a few months and found no improvement to my mare’s difficult attitude during her cycle. We tried Regumate mid-summer, which caused weight gain, so we stopped and tried this instead. I’ve had a few SP supplements that didn’t have any effect, but I keep coming back for the convenience.

Horses eat them, they seem to be working
They smell REALLY good, but I haven’t nibbled on any (yet). My 22 year old mare was struggling with possible sub clinical symptoms of Cushing that could have been exasperated by the heat in Las Vegas, NV. We’ve been using this supplement for a little over six weeks for my mare and gelding and both are calmer, having less issues with heat regulation, and just seem happier. Adding Chasteberry pellets was the ONLY change I’ve made in the last two months, so I am going to chalk the positive change up to the magic pellets and might start some for me.

Chaste berry Pellets
After ~3 weeks my Cushing horse started shedding. The amount of shedding is increasing with time. Glad to see this winter coat go as the weather warms. He loves the taste of the pellets as well.

Update from ecstatic user for Cushings
March arrived, shedding time of Spring, and for the first time since diagnosis of Cushings, my now 19 yo welsh cross, gelding, is shedding as he should. AND, his coat is now 'normal' and feels soft, as opposed to a short wire brush! Vet came to do shots, and commented on his coat right off. This is definitely worth considering a try if your horse has Cushings!

Works great for my gelding
My trainer likes to call my gelding a mare in a geldings body. He can be very "opinionated" about his canter transitions. I have been giving this to him for a bout a year and I have found that he is so much better about his transitions and is in general much less grumpy under saddle.

I bought this supplement to try and even out my 9 year old mares, horrendous mood swings. We would go from the sanest, easiest mare to be around, to a complete nightmare EVERY time she was coming in, to the extent, you didn't want to be around her at all. She was vet checked, and sonography was completed, leading us down the empty answer road. We have tried multiple remedies to help with this issue, but all ending with no avail. So, I wasn't expecting a miracle, but I was hoping that I would see some sort of relief for her. But, several things were addressed with adding this in to her feedings. For starters, she's definitely easier to be around during her heats. She doesn't pin her ears like she did prior to introducing this supplement. She is far more forgiving, and level headed around other horses, especially my two geldings who love getting in her bubble during turn out. She isn't so angry at feedings, and will actually let you put hay in feeders before she decides to pin ears and act like a raptor and rip forage from your hands. Her coat is softer. I also see her resting more at night, and during the day, as opposed to walking her stall. She is ready to go to work in the morning with a good attitude. All in all...this has been a HUGE positive change for us. And, she eats it from my hand without having to be mixed with anything.

Great product
I bought this for an ex lesson horse I sponsor at the barn who is 27 with cushings. He is doing well on it, his coat looks better than it did last winter, so I think it’s helping him. The horse was a cutting horse, then a lesson horse, retired but now enjoys doing horse agility and competing online.

Not working like I hoped

Worked Fast!
After just 1 week on Chaste Berry Supplement, my Welsh filly has stopped her very marish behavior almost completely. She was squealing, bucking, winking,urinating almost non-stop since I introduced a new horse to her little herd. She still isn't fond of the new mare, but no more squealing, rump-turning, urinating behavior.after only 1 week.

Wonderful quality supplement!
The supplement is wonderful quality and truly liked by the horses. I give this to two in my herd that have laminitis due to Cushings Disease. I have found that if the blood work is not high the supplement works well to assist the horse in CD and regulate issues like laminitis, hair growth and other mood behaviors. The supplement is truly palatable to the horses which makes it easy to feed.

For Cushings? Worth a try!
Have a senior Welsh cross pony who developed Cushings. Have chosen not to use the current drugs as horrible side effects. Vet suggested I try Chasteberry, as she has had some clients who used it successfully for taming some of the symptoms, like not shedding out. Started the little fellow on 1 scoop a day, and within the first week he was shedding out. His overall condition also seems greatly improved: coat, skin, attitude. He's a funny little fellow with a ton of personality, and he seems to have reverted back to his happy self..... gets turned out for an hour at 6AM, and, since on the Chasteberry, he is full tilt, bounding out the gate in a delighted frolic of joy!

Easy to use
I started my 30 yr old cushings horse on this a little over a month ago. In his most recent blood test it brought his cushings level from 114 to 70, so now he is also on a med for it but it won’t be such a high dose.

I have been trying to find something to keep my mare more comfortable during her cycles. I researched and saw that Chasteberry is a great way to keep hormone levels even throughout a mare's cycles. I have been pleased with this supplement. My mare is more like herself and that makes me happy.
