It works ... for a while
My horse (3-year-old Tennessee Walker mare) isn't exactly a "termite", but she still sucks wind on wooden surfaces. No intention of taking her stall apart, just a mock of a horse she was pastured with before I bought her. Well, we tried sprays, smelly-cribbing-goo, collars, collars, and more collars! So I gave Quitt a shot. It really stopped her for about a month, but when we thought she was cured, I came to discover she would listen out until we had all left the barn and chew in different spots. I am now looking into some mare supplements to see if it's just a nervous or anxious habit.

Quitt Stops more then Wood Chewing
My horse Cupid would occasionally chew wood. It didn't matter if it was a stall, a fence or a tree. He didn't do it often or for long. When I started SmartPaks I decided to give it a shot for one month. I never saw him chew but then again he didn't chew often. Two days after that first month ran out, he was chewing wood at the barn. And he was more mouthy (picking up the lead rope, lipping/nipping at me and my friends). I went that day and bought some from the local store. Quitt is now back on his SmartPak order and he will stay on it forever. It is so much nicer to have him less mouthy in general.

First Skeptical, Now Hopeful
Our TB mare, Cat, was a nervous but friendly racehorse when we bought her 2 yrs. ago. We attempted to continue racing her the next 2 springs, but though she loved her morning works, and had won 3 races just before we bought her, her heart did not appear to be in racing any longer. We decided this year to retire her and breed her. Just before she went to the track this past spring, I had found Quitt with its advertised money-back guarantee, and gave it a try. Cat chewed wood in her stall and while in turnout, not obsessively but frequently. My husband was even more skeptical than I, but he was the one to point out after exactly 7 days that Cat was not chewing wood anymore. Unfortunately we had to send her back to the track and the trainer discontinued the Quitt. Cat did begin to chew the small scraps of wood in her track stall, and when she finally returned to our care after being retired and bred, I put her on the Quitt again. This time it took about 9 days to get a response, but it eventually did happen again. Because of its all-natural ingredients, and the manufacturer's statement that it was safe for use with any horse, we decided to continue giving her this supplement. If the manufacturer's claim that wood-chewing results from a nutritional imbalance of some sort, then hopefully the foal will also benefit!

The Ultimate Skeptic
When I arrived at Wild Heart Farm rescue facility, I was a nervous wreck (with good reason; I am blind and folks had been real mean to me). I paced. I weaved. I dug to China (well not actually, but I gave it a darn good try). I had to be inside to get enough to eat and get my medicine and stuff, but I hated being inside. So I ate about half my stall. My new mom was gradually able to earn my trust, which calmed down my nerves, but nothing made even the slightest dent in the wood chewing behavior. Then we saw the ad for Quitt. "Yeah right." my new mom thought, "SURE!" she was ready for her refund before I got the first shipment. But it was cheaper to try it than to build a new barn. Within THREE DAYS the wood was safe from me! It's a miracle! It WORKS!

It really does work!
I have 2 yearlings who have been wood chewers since getting them in July 03. Since I started them on Quitt they have stopped chewing the wood in the stalls. I honestly never believed it would work, but decided to try it since they had a money back offer. Everyone with wood chewers should give this a try.

Never thought it'd work. I was wrong!
We had the worst wood chewing horse ever at our facility. Nothing would stop this horse from chewing, he even chewed wood in the pasture. Since we started using Quitt, the horse has literally "quit" chewing wood altogether. I never believed a supplement would stop this horse's habit, but it did. I am a believer!!
