I cannot comment on the efficacy of this supplement yet as my horses are not taking to it very quickly. I have ground the pellets and reduced the amounts as well as added different inducements to get them to actually eat it. Both my guys need improvements to their hooves so I am very motivated to get them to accept it and become healthier.

My horses are so shiny they look wet!
I'm combination with Poly Copper, this Poly Zinc helps my black stallion stay glossy and dark without fading all summer. Additionally, all my horses get this combo to assist with fertility, great coat quality, and fantastic feet. Can't say enough about this combo!

Two thumbs up
This is my first purchase from Uckele and I couldn't be happier. The Poly Zinc supplement is appetizing for my horse with an alfalfa base and have no added sweeteners/flavors, which is perfect for my insulin-resistant mare. Package shipped prompted and arrived just a few days after ordering, despite the general shipping delays I expected since I ordered in December.

Great supplement, highly palatable!!!
I have a young horse that had been severely malnourished that I wanted to help gain muscle and bone. This is a great supplement, looks just like alfalfa pellets and all my horses are eating it!

My horse will not eat it.
My horse did not like the zinc powder, so I tried this. Still an absolute no-go. Pretty expensive supplement to just sit on the shelf. If I try mixing it with feed, even in very small amounts, she refuses to eat at all.

I love that I can buy just what I need for my horse without all of the extra vitamins that he gets in other forms.

My horse won't eat the
My horse won't eat the pellets without coaxing with molasses mixed in his feed. After 9 days, I don't see any difference in his sunbleached coat, but I don't think there's been enough time to realize any difference. His hooves have always been great.

Recommended for dark horses, affordable and worth a try
Feeding to my pony to get him darker again after sun bleaching from being outside 24/7. Pellet form seems very palatable and have not had any problems feeding it. I do feed with Poly Copper as it is recommended. Seems to be working so far. I plan to continue feeding throughout the summer to ensure his coat stays dark. The scoop included isn't very big so the bag lasts a long time. Pleased with fast shipping, quality product, and good packaging.

Good way to get zinc into your picky eaters
I need to supplement a fair amount of copper and zinc for a Paint horse with awful hooves. She constantly left behind supplements uneaten. Through a process of elimination, I figured out that she doesn't like zinc, of all things. So instead of poly zinc powder, I switched to these pellets. It's worked so far!

Convenient pellets but my picky horse won't eat them
I bought the Poly Zinc and Poly Copper pellets to balance the minerals in my hay. My picky mare will readily eat the Poly Copper but not the Poly Zinc. She refuses anything that has even a few pellets of Poly Zinc. I am trying to gradually build up the dose, but so far have had no success.

Palatable and easy to feed
I buy the Poly Zinc and Poly Copper pellets for my horse to balance his diet due to his PSSM. What I love about these products are how palatable they are - horses eat it without a problem. Another thing is it doesn't crumble and disintegrate like another vitamin pellet (Vit E) I buy from another company. The price is great and it stores well. Easy to use since I just mix it with his usual pelleted feed.

Poly zinc
Have an incredibly picky eater of anything...and she is eating it right up. No issues. She has IR and this is one of the supplements that she really needs. Other brands that are SUPER expensive she won't touch.

Zinc pellets,
This is a great product. The horses are much more willing to eat the feed with this in it than with the plain mineral.

1 year of use and great improvement in coat and hooves.
Wish I could show a before and after photos. 1 year ago I had lost hope of figuring out my horses strange appearance and symptoms. After much testing for Cushings and othe metabolics turned up negative I had his blood mineral analysis done. He had the lowest Zinc levels the lab had ever seen. Our forage in Oregon is high Iron. He had a heavy coat and sweated a lot. His dark chocolate coat had turned mustard yellow and had long thick cottony hair with extra long guard hairs in late August 2017 . He had poor hoof growth and needed special shoeing to support his weight on the inside walls.. This year August 2018 he has a dark deep chocolate color and shiney normal length coat. He also has the thickest strongest fastest growing hoove I have ever seen. He is much healthier over all. I had taken him off of all but the most basic mineral vitamin supplement (no iron) and flaxseed. On Dr.'s recommendation I feed him 3x the normal level of zinc as it is well tolerated. Do your testing too but Zinc may be all you need to add.

Poly zinc Pellets
This is my second or third bag. The horses don't seem to mind the flavor. I have seen a great improvement on their coat colors. Was hoping to see more of an improvement on the quality of the hooves, but that will probably take about 6 months. I remain hopeful.

Grateful for pelleted version!
These are gobbled right up by my picky eater, a wonderful option for horses that won't eat powders.
