The Best
It amazes me that something this cheap is so effective. I have used multiple different calming supplements on my horse, including smartpak's other offerings, and this got us the best results. My horse is relaxed and spooks way less often on this supplement than on any other calming supplement I have tried. He still looks at things sometimes but gets over it much faster and is no longer trying to spin out any time something "scary" happens. Definitely recommend.

Great for Easily Distracted horses
I started my pony on this two months ago and there has been a big difference. I started him on it because I had noticed that he was anxious and easily distracted when I rode or trailered him alone. I did not want a traditional calming supplement that made him dull, and this one definitely does not! He trailers perfect by himself and ride alone now.

Don’t waste your money!
I bought this thinking that I could save myself 10$ a month from my previous calming supplement.. I was wrong! The dose is practically nothing! For 10$ more I had been herring two nearly full wells a day.. this is only half of one :(

Work really well, takes about a month
I thought I was buying the Leg Up muscle building supplements, lol. My TB gelding has been super chill the last couple of weeks, none of his usual ADHD behavior, which I thought was pretty odd (but nice!) Given the time of year. I was looking at my orders online and realized he's been getting this one instead of the muscle. So... Given I had no idea he was getting them, I'd say they're pretty dang effective. Kind of a blind study, haha. He's been on them about 6-7 weeks now.

Seemed to be worse
I bought this in April but still had some leftover supplement that I was currently using(different brand) and recently switched about 2 months ago. She is more Moody and hot headed than in the other stuff. And the pellets stink. I just don't know if this herbal option is going to cut it.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!
This was my first month ordering this supplement. I only ordered 1/2 a dose because I just wanted to take a little bit of the edge off my gelding. When I opened up the box of my SmartPak I couldn't believe that I had paid $9.53 for a 1/2 dose and there were LITERALLY 16 pellets in the well! At first I thought, it had been opened somehow and some fell out... NOPE! The entire months supply of my SmartPak's had the same amount of pellets. There's no way that 16 Pellets is a 1/2 dose.
I will never order this product again even if it does help. I will be buying a calming supplement from my local feed store instead, and I'm seriously debating cancelling all of my SmartPak for my 2 horses. Quality and Quantity has gone down the last few years. But yet they keep raising prices.
Very, Very unhappy with this. I know it's only $9.53 but every penny counts when you are trying to keep your horses in good health.

Had the opposite effect
Had my horse on this for a month and it had the exact opposite effect as I was looking for. Instead of helping to mellow him out, it amped him up and made him jittery and spooky. I know sometimes supplements have the opposite effects on horses, and this one did on mine. On a plus note, the pellets were happily eaten by my super picky guy AND Smartpak stood by their product and refunded me the last month! On to try something else!

Seems to work
My QH gelding has a hard time trusting people and seems to have some nervousness/anxiety(not dangerious, but slight) resulting in him shying away, backing away while haltering, running away in the field when time to bring in, sound of blankets and things scare him, etc.. Well, he seems to be doing better after only a week or so on this supplement. He comes to the stall door and sticks his head out, doesn’t back away while haltering, comes running to come inside, etc.. I’m going to leave him on it, but I recommend trying for slightly nervous/shy/anxious horses. He eats the pellets with his feed, no problems. He’s not hyper or pushy(very good manners), so I can’t comment on how it might help with head strong, excited horse.

Love the pellets
My horse is a very very picky eater and he eats this right up! It really seems to be working and calming his energy level down. I like it because it just takes a bit of the edge off, but I still have a good amount of horse under me.

Great Results

Actually works
I’m a nervous adult ammy who tends to light up even the chillest of horses. This doesn’t make my guy sleepy or lack luster, but helps him focus on me; not what else is going on around us. I switched to another calming supp for a month to do a rated show, and he had just a bit more edge to him. Now that he has been back on this, he is back to his chill, I-don’t-care-about-that-backhoe self.

These Calming Pellets really work!
I bought these in February, I was looking for something to help my horse who was hurting his front legs kicking at the stall door. We even made him an outside door to leave open so he could come and go as he wanted but this did not stop him from being fidgety and anxious. Within a couple of weeks I could see a difference, and now May he is calm, his legs have mostly healed and got hair back and he just wants to be loved on! Will continue to give these pellets to him! Thank you Smart Pak!

Fantastic!
I bought this supplement for one of my geldings after having amazing success with the Leg Up Mare pellets. When the weather is awful and he cannot get enough turnout, he becomes intolerable. Even though he gets out of his stall every single day, on the days where he can't get outside or can't be worked, he stands in his stall, does this slight rear, jumps forward and then bucks. He was a rescue and has been abused, so his mental state is always on my mind. I tried this supplement and he is so much happier. He has not been kicking his stall. He has stopped slamming into the stall gate. I will keep him on this supplement until turnout becomes more consistent and I will put him back on it when turnout becomes inconsistent again in the winter.

Made a difference
I got this for my gelding who gets anxious in a group, I feed it an hour before a group lesson or in the morning before a show and it definitely helps.

Not sure it's works. She seemed more relaxed but not when she saw deer in the trees. ( I had to get off and ground train to get her to calm down.) Also the smartpak are only half full.

I am 65 and ride a rather hot Tennessee Walker, he became spookier and spookier to the point where he would bolt at everything and anything, after 3 weeks on Leg Up he was more relaxed , now afer a few months he is a joy to be around again! Thanks to this product I can keep riding...safely... Wonderful!

Product was working within 2 weeks
My husband's 13 yo Arabian gelding was layed up for 9 months with a partly detached front ligament. He was not on stall rest, but could go out into his paddock. He could always be a looky loo on the trail, but after 6 mo he began to jump and leave his stall even if one walked by the stall door or came around the corner of his paddock. He would spook and plant, legs spread out too. When we got the ok to start riding for 15 minutes and gradually work up from there, my husband reported he spooked at items on the ranch he had seen every day for 5 years. I looked to see what SP had available. As he is not a show horse, but a trail horse, I could use all the products in Leg UP. After only 2 weeks we could see the difference, less jumpy in his stall, and less spooky on the trail. The first 45 day packet has been used up, and I am re-ordering. Thanks SmartPak!

Wonderful calming product!
I have been giving this supplement to my anxiety prone 7 year old hackney gelding for about 7 months now and I have seen huge changes in his behavior. In the beginning he was incredibly nervous around people because he was a rescue with an unknown past. He came to me with a lot of spooking issues. After doing some research I settled on this product as a long term aid to the solution to his problems. I am happy to report that 7 months later I have practically a different horse! He is manageable and ridable now. And best of all his sweet and loving personality is starting to shine through! Who knew he had it! I give the credit of these changes to steady, calm groundwork and this supplement. I believe that Leg Up Calm Pellets is a huge part of his success story!

Think it's working!
Tried another supplement and had no effect on my 7yo friesian/Arabian mare. I figured we'd give this one a try since it's cheaper. I think it's working great! My horse has been relaxed the past 2 weeks she's been on it. Nothing but good rides. Shes not anxious, worked up, tight, or super alert during our rides. She seems "cool as a cucumber"

Keeping the old man calm
Started our 30 year old horse on this 3 weeks prior to moving him to a new stable. He is blind and had not been on a trailer since before losing his sight. Moved 2 weeks ago and he is doing well thanks to his 'happy pills'. Will keep him on this for another month and then start backing it off.

Definitely helps
I decided to try a supplement with Magnesium at the advice of my trainer, as my horse had 'twitchy muscles' (would involuntary react even when she knew you were going to touch her). This supplement has helped with that and seems to have stopped her from kicking at the stall wall while waiting for her grain.

Slight difference
Our 5 year old welsh pony gelding fit the description of slightly nervous and I decided to give this a try. He definitely loves to eat them. After about 6 weeks I have seen a slight difference in his degree of nervousness.

Worked really well
I bought Leg Up after acquiring my latest horse, who is very spooky and startled at everything. Leg Up has worked very well. Cash is alert and curious and is acclimating nicely into his new home & routine, and his fear has subsided. A much calmer, happier horse. Thanks, SmartPak!

Nice addition
I don't think this product will make a hot horse calm, but it is a nice addition for keeping my horse a bit less looky when we trail ride. Magnesium is good for him overall being 15 and cresty necked. I liked that this product is an affordable alternative! Thanks for offering.

great name for a great product
I started my ARABIAN MARE on this smartpake supplement two months ago and it works AMAZINGLY. She would spook at a leaf on the found ESPECIALLY during THAT TIME OF THE MONTH. . . LOL. NOW, after adding this product (also added chasteberry in senior pituitary smartpake) My Arab is able to relax and enjoy herself on our Dailey playtime , work, just normal grooming time. The product does not make her act druggy. IT TAKES THE EDGE OFF A LITTLE. .We have a lot more fun together. LOVE THIS STUFF.
