Three of three horses refused this
I purchased this product to help encourage my IR horse to eat his supplements. None of my horses would even try it. It smells very artificial and not at all like molasses.

Does Not Taste or Smell Like Molasses to Horse
I have a pony with Cushings. She is a picky eater and will only take her cushings Suppliment with molasses added. I tried coco soya, water, oils, etc. the molasses was the only thing that would make her eat it . When I saw this sweetener I thought it would solve my dilemma of how to get the Suppliment in her without the sugar. However, she seems appalled by this sweetener and will not touch her feed now.

Smells and tastes like solvent
I should have read the label for Equi Sweet before ordering. As I was pouring it into to a serving container, I noticed it smelled like a cleaning solvent, so I tasted it and it had a strong nasty taste, barely sweet at all. Then I read the label--alcohol, methylparaben, propionic acid, ammonium hydroxide, propylene glycol. I'm throwing it away and asking for my money back.

We got creative :)
Smart Pak supplied this to us for free to try on their supplements for a picky horse. Once we found a supplement he eats we just had it on the shelf. Fast forward. We have a picky pig lol! A VERY nice 4H pig that we need to get to eating so she makes weight for fair! Well we added this to her feed, figured it was worth a shot. For the first time in a MONTH she is cleaning up her feed. Now if only we had thought to try this sooner.....

Not good for me
My horse got 1 TEASPOON for first try of this to mask metformin and within one, covered with hives which she then proceeded to rub raw enough that can’t use bridle! Every horse is different, I understand that but be careful. Just because something is natural like Stevia, doesn’t mean there’s no consequences

Horses luv it
I became familiar with Uckele products through the ECIR group . Since I have purchased a custom mix for my laminitic mare, treats and this. I mix it in her beet pulp to mask her herbs. She seems to luv it

Cushings mini is so picky
My mini with cushings is so picky and I need to feed him thyroid L. I soak his mountain sunrise pellets(no molasses) with a tbsp of this molasses flavoring then mix the thyroid L with the peppermint flavoring and mix it all together and viola a happy horse who finishes his meds.

Solve my picky eater problem!
I started using this as a low-sugar way to get my picky horse to eat his supplements. It works! And as an added bonus it has a lower freezing point than molasses too. Not that it never freezes, but it doesn't freeze as easily as molasses.

Didn't work for me
This product was tried in order to get Scout to eat his electrolytes. Unfortunately, it didn't work for him. He's very astute when it comes to something different being put into his food.. It's not fair for me to recommend or not recommend...

Easy to Use
Gave this a try for my Quarter Horse mare and have been super pleased. I think it smells more like licorice but my mare seems to like it. Love that it does not have to be refrigerated and economical. The consistency is like syrup and has just enough "stickiness."

Works Good
This was suggested to me for my gelding who stopped eating his grain w/ supplements, however I had to narrow down which supplement he stopped eating and it was the Bug Off I believe, so I just cancelled it since summer is almost over but I still add a bit to his grain for a little treat

Making cookies
I am using this to flavor my homemade cookies for ir horse. She seems to like the cookies. It would be helpful to know how much to use rather than by gum & golly

My horse wouldn't eat it.
I bought this to put on a new supplement I was giving my boy. I even tried hand feeding it -- no matter what I did, he turned up his nose at the smell of both flavors. I tasted it myself and it wasn't tempting.

easy to use
I was having trouble getting my 22 yr. old mare to eat her additive. The Equi Sweet covered the grain with the additive, with just a little mixing. No mess at the bottom of the pail. Worked great! The mare finishes her grain.

Not Impressed
Tried this for my thoroughbred mare -- she flung the dish. I tasted a bit of it to see how it compared to normal molasses and found it akin to slightly sweetened hairspray. Definitely would not use again.

Almost works
Recently switched my mate to a low starch feed and she stopped eating her supplements. Bought this to add in thinking she would be fooled. She isn't. Maybe should try using more?

My horse likes it!
My 23 year old Quarter Horse is on Prascend for his Cushings. It is difficult to get him to eat his grain due to his Prascend can reduce appetite. I put this sugar free molasses on his grain and he eats it all up. Sugar free is great for Cushing horses due to no sugar low starch diet is a must. I was actually amazed and it is difficult to amaze me. Ive tried many things, but this is the first thing to work. Thank you for this product. It is awesome!
