Bioavailable source of natural vitamin E
Elevate was developed to provide a highly bioavailable source of natural vitamin E to horses. Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, limits the damage caused by everyday oxidative stress. It maintains healthy muscle and nerve function and supports a healthy immune system in horses of all ages.
Vitamin E cannot be synthesized by the horse; therefore, it is considered an essential nutrient. The best source of vitamin E is fresh green grass; however, the potency of vitamin E declines very quickly once forages are harvested and dried.
Vitamin E requirements vary from situation to situation. Multiple research studies have shown that vitamin E is often deficient in the diets of horses that do not have access to continual grazing on fresh green grass, or those grazing on winter pasture. Performances horses with demanding workloads, growing horses and seniors can be exposed to increased levels of oxidative stress and therefore may benefit from higher levels of vitamin E in their diets. Best Vit E Supplement
My horse was diagnosed with a vitamin E deficiency in the spring of 2016, he was underweight and inexplicably loosing muscle. He has been on Elevate for about a year now and he's FAT and Shiny and so unbelievably healthy!

It Works!!
My vet recommended Elevate when my horse tied up one time 6 years ago - Since using I have had no re-occurance. SmartPak does a great job getting the product to me on time or early.

Meets need for additional vitamin E
This is the best value and my horse finds it palatable, however when I received it, the label said it contained dextrose. It is a very small amount, but I don't want to take any risks with my PSSM horse. I switched to Smartpak's vit E supplement (2500 IU/scoop), which is also natural vit E but doesn't contain sugar.

Great supplement
My horse lives in an area of the country devoid of rich grass pasture. As a result, her vitamin E level tested too low. This is the only brand of Vitamin E supplementation that my vet recommends, and we have seen great results.

Finally in SmartPaks!!!
I have been using this product for a while but have had to order it separately from another vendor. Smartpak offered Vitamin E, but not this particular one...which has had more research behind hit and proven results. I was so excited when I found out I could get it thru Smartpak. Now, if I can only get them to carry Black as Knight too. :-D

Natural Vitamin E works
I have used natural E before with rescue horses and one with muscle fitness issues. Elevate from SmartPak is an easy to use and very effective form of natural E, which has a significantly higher uptake rate than cheaper synthetic E.
I'm using this with an older horse, 34 years, who had been showing some balance and proprioception challenges. After 3 weeks on Elevate he has made considerable improvement! Remember, especially with older horses, we can't always be sure how well the chew or digest feed. Even when then do, it's sometimes uncertain how well enzymes, etc., work in their gut. Elevate provide a readily accessible (biologically) form of vitamin E that supports muscle and nerve health.

So far so good!
My horse has been on this product for about 6 weeks, he was showing poor body condition and was diagnosed with Cushing's disease. He is on a loading dose but so far he is showing signs of gradual increase along with taking his other prescription and this product. And not everyone e had this exact produced which we needed and at a great price!!

A bit misleading
A good economical source of natural vitamin E, but I was a bit frustrated to see "dextrose" listed as an ingredient on the bucket though it was not listed under "Ingredients" online. This was to be fed to four insulin resistant horses and two ulcer prone horses, so I would not have ordered had I known sugar was an ingredient.

The real deal
My horses have really have no pasture, and getting fresh cuttings of hay is difficult to do. So naturally my horses were beginning to show signs of vitamin E deficiencies. Poor top lines, scratches, longer healing for minor abrasions, tight muscles, etc. Adding 3,000 mg/day of Elevate vitamin E turned my horses around, with very noticeable improvements at about the three week point. My 20 y.o. Holsteiner is making slower progress, but my 23 y.o. Polish Arabian and my younger horses responded more quickly. I've tried other products, including SP's Vitamin E, MVP's E-Se-Mag, and various other Vitamin E & Selenium supplements, but Elevate has the natural form of vitamin E, in high concentration, and has really made the noticeable difference.

great results!!!!
I have a foot 14 year old thoroughbred that suddenly started having problems with EPM characteristics. We treated him for that too with no positive effects. When I videoed him walking sideways and showed it to my Vet he suggested this could be a neurological problem that vitamin E could resolve. We put him on liquid Elevate vitamin E. He was walking straighter within a couple of days. We needed a refill on the Elevate I ordered from Santa Cruz only in the powder form which is easier to put on his feed. It works well with molasses in the feed and with carrots that are moist.
