So much weight on in one month!
My horse before I started him on cool calories was on 1 1/2 scoop alfalfa pellets, 1 1/2 scoop beet pulp shreds, 1 1/2 school tribute kmz, and 6 flakes of hay daily which was putting weight on but not as much as I needed it too with the cold months coming up so fast. I started supplementing cool calories with he’s alfalfa pellets, beet pulp shreds, grain, and hay and he easily gained 100 lbs last month I was so happy.

Great results in a short time!
We run a rescue and have two old, one was starved... horses. We tried several other fat supplements including horseshine, cocosya etc.. plus alfa pellets and senior feed to no avail. Cool carlories worked the best. Within 30 days there was MAJOR results! We are 60 days in and I think another 30 days days and we'll be where we need to. Only bad part is its a "crystal" sugar type and falls in bottom of the grain feeder. Not good to use with pelleted feeds.. but since I soak the alfa cubes/pellets, its works fine for us. We started high at 6/7 oz, 3oz am and 3oz pm, etc... but it was still super cheap. After 30 days we went to 4oz for the gelding and 3oz for the mare.Still seeing results!

Awesome results
I bought this to help but weight on my hard keeping OTTB. I weaned him onto it like the bag recommends and I’ve kept him consistently at 6 oz a day and he is gaining weight steadily! It also made his coat look better! I plan to keep him on the amount I am currently giving him until he is at the ideal weight then going back down to a maintenance dosage. Highly recommend this product!

Great Product!
I used this product on my Rodeo mare for the last 9 years and its been absolutely amazing, I just started my gelding on this and within a week his hips are filling out better and his chest is building very nicely. I would definitely wait if you are using this product on more than one horse because it is pricey, so wait till it goes on sale and stick up!!

Made my horse spooky
I had my mare on this for 2 months. She didn't love the taste and it made her very agitated and spooky. She was happy before and after, but not while it was in her system.

My underweight mare I imported (just weaned foal and the slowest eater I have ever had) has gained over 200 pounds in the last 3 months, thanks to Cool Calories! Definitely a fan! And it doesn’t make her crazy.

My picky eater wouldn't touch her feed with it
If you have a picky eater, don't buy. Mine wouldn't eat her feed with it mixed in. She eat less than 1 of her 3 ponds of feed that morning. Yet, I tried it on my old mare & she ate it right up. Not for picky eaters.

Can't say enough about this product!

Ideal for a hard-keeping old horse
Fatty acids is as small and easy-to-digest as it gets for an older horse that can't absorb his food. Out of the many products I've tried this is the only one that held my horse's weight (nothing helps him gain) for a while. Once in a while he drops more and stabilizes again, but that's still better than where we were before Cool Calories. He's always been a hard keeper and he's been on this for several years. I probably would have had to retire him sooner if I didn't use this. He has cancer and it likely has caused thickening in his intestines, so I don't blame the product to not doing better--it still more effective for my boy than everything else.
The powder smells like candy, which is fun when you're handling the stuff. Fortunately my horse either loves the texture of powder supplements or they have all--including this one--have been palatable.

Good weight supplement
I bought this for my 35 years young Arabian gelding who has needed some extra help maintaining his weight. He's been on it for almost 2 months now and looks better than he has in years. Despite his age he is still very spunky and this hasn't made him too hot either.

If only he would eat it...
My senior gelding ate this just fine...for about a week. After that, he'd leave the supplement (and whatever feed it was stuck to) in his bucket and go eat someone else's food. Once we stopped feeding it he went back to scarfing down his own feed with no problem.

Smells delicious, my horse loved it
My horse has been on this for a month now and it's hard to say if it's working great because I really eased him onto it. He's been on the full dose for about 2 weeks now along with increase in his grain. It doesn't seem to have made him hot in any way and his ribs are disappearing under some fat which is great. Muscle still hasn't come yet but we'll see with time. It smells delicious and he seems very happy to eat it.

No noticeable difference
I've previously used Cool Calories for my OTTB's with great results. After my senior (25yrs) dropped some weight this winter I put him on Cool Calories. While palatable for him, there was no noticeable difference. I made appropriate changes to his feed with nice results, but none I feel are directly related to this supplements. In his case, it was not helpful.

Love
Cool Calories 100 is a dry Vegtable oil. It allows me to add the same calories as oil without making the feed wet. It smells delicious and my horses eat it.

This stuff works!

Great for epsm/pssm horses!
I switched my horse over to Cool calories for the added fat for his epsm diet, I was able to cut his veggie oil, helping paletability, while maintaining enough fat for moderate/ heavy work.

Noticeable Difference!
I started my Appaloosa/Thoroughbred cross gelding on this roughly 3 months ago, I am happy to say it has definitely helped him be able to gain weight without making him any spookier or hot. He has a natural tendency to be scared of things due to a troubled past, this product did not make him any worse than before. He is currently at ideal weight and looks wonderful! He has had no problem eating it, he is an extremely messy eater and the powder mixes in with his chewing rituals.
