Not Enough Devil’s Claw in Maintenance Dose
I purchased this as I had been looking for a low cost Devil’s Claw Supplement. While this is palatable and easy to feed (pellet form) the standard dose doesn’t include nearly enough to manage any symptoms for any standard size horse. Harpagoside is detectable in the blood within 30-60 minutes after administration but at this serving it’s a negligible amount. For improvement of symptoms (or literally any visual detection at all) recommended dosage is 2-4 grams per day. Either consider tripling the dosage under supervision of a vet or get a different Devil’s claw supplement. Unless you have a miniature horse, the 1oz daily scoop is basically just money out of your pocket and no results.

It works!
I was having to give my horse 1 gm. of Bute twice a day, and he didn't really like it, even though it smells like apples. Bute-Less works just as well, and you just have to give it to the horse once a day in his grain supplement

Helps my Older horse with Navicular
I have been using this product for the past 5 years for my gelding. Once specialty shoeing wasn't doing enough to manage his discomfort and I did not want him on bute long term, I tried buteless. It was not as effective as normal bute but kept him comfortable enough to ride consistently for the next 2 years. He is now fully retired but I continue to keep him on this supplement as I do see a difference. I attempted to take him off of it when I first retired him but I could tell he was in pain. So now I keep him on buteless and he is a pasture sound, happy old man and I don't worry about bute causing ulcers!

Great product
I have been using bute-less for my horses many years. I can definitely tell a difference it makes to them. I have taken older horses to give them a happy retirement. Bute-less helps with control the inflammation older horses can get.

Consistant Results
We have purchased these Bute-Less pellets for two of our older therapy horses over the years. It has given then them extra comfort to continue light work and help their bodies keep up with their still younger minds. Both have always readily ate this pellet.

Seeing improvement
Tried a one month supply for my 25 year old mare who was not lying down to rest as much as she used to (should be). After one month's use it seemed like we were seeing a positive change. Now she is on it every day to help her feel more limber.

Seems to Work!
My horse has been on this supplement for a couple months now, and I have noticed a difference! He has arthritis and usually took quite a while to work out of it. Now he comes out of the stall less stiff, working out of it quicker, and VOLUNTARILY working through his back! This is a HUGE accomplishment! Especially good for horses prone to ulcers as well. Much more gentle on the stomach. Highly recommend!

This just simply works for my 24 y/o appendix. He’s big, and prone to joint pains, as well as the random bang your toe on a stump pains. This is a daily supp for him, and it simply works. I totally recommend.
A little expensive, like everything....
but my picky eater doesn’t hesitate to mow down on it

Incredible Results
My severely navicular mare HATES bute.. I thought it would be hard to find a natural alternative - but when I saw this, I got so excited and had to try it. She has been on it for almost 6 months now and I couldn't imagine her off of it. Sometimes she has off days, but thats just her and they are nowhere near as bad as before. After I went through my first bucket I didn't have autoship on at the time, so she was off of it for a week or 2.. I IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference when she wasn't on it. I swear by this, I also love that its natural.. We give them so much man made stuff, it makes me feel so good to be able to give her something natural and easy on her stomach!!

Amazing Stuff!!
I bought this three weeks ago for my 27 year old Draft Horse mare in an act of desperation. We really thought she was running out of time... My mare has been getting progressively more arthritic and uncomfortable on her back legs. She was lying down to rest less and less because getting back up was so difficult for her. Within three weeks, using just one slightly heaped scoop a day, the dose recommended for a 1100 - 1200 pound horse (she is 1800 lbs), she is lying down and getting back up again, no problem. No more grunting and staggering as she gets back to her feet. Yesterday, she voluntarily LOPED into the back pasture for turn out with our other horse. This is HUGE! My mare hasn't voluntarily gone faster than a quick walk in more than 2 years, even when grain is being offered. Her ears are forward, her face looks relaxed and happy, no more grumpy pursed lips...I am so happy for her and highly recommend this product. We still won't be working her, I mean, she IS 27, but wow, just the fact that she can now enjoy her retirement, she is a pleasure to watch.

My senior horse is responding well to Bute Less
I started Bute Less smart pak pellets 5 weeks ago on my 30 year old appy gelding. He has chronic arthritis and I wanted to try and get him off a daily dose of bute. These pellets are giving him more relief than Bute and its much easier on his gut. I would highly recommend this product.
