Rated 2 out of 5 by from flimsy sock I found these socks to run very small and did not fit well over my calves. They were also much thinner then expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Socks! I love these socks so much that I bought them as a gift for a friend. It's a little warm to wear the socks now but she'll enjoy them in the Fall.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't Last Very Long - Not Durable These are very good looking, but didn't last. After a few months, these started to tear on the bottom part of the heel. I only wore these when I had my dress boots on, which was once or twice a week.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expected more... I figured I would get the same quality as I've come to expect from their footwear. The socks have been washed twice and I'm already pulling threads. They slide down during the course of the day and ball up around my ankle. Won't be buying these again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy them I bought three pairs of these socks. Never put them in the dryer and still they shrank. They come up to mid-calf now and are down around my ankles by the time I get off my horse. Very disappointing from a company as good as Ariat. Ready to throw them out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for skinny feet and legs I wear a size 6 shoe, and I am fairly tall and slim. I bought the smaller size of these (size 6-10) and they are TINY. They are very snug, very difficult to get on, don't have much stretch, and the height of the socks is very short - only goes up to about mid-calf. The funny thing is they don't feel uncomfortable or too tight once you get them on - but they're just very difficult to get on. On the positive side though, these are built like iron - I've been wearing and washing them for at least 3 or 4 years and they still look almost new. I'd definitely buy them again but I'd just get the size 11-13 (which is insane given that my shoe size is a 6!) But yes, I would recommend them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy These socks are really, really thin. I wore them about 5 times before they started to wear through at the toenail. They don't add bulk under your boot, and they aren't thick enough to be hot, but they aren't holding up like I would expect an Ariat product to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Tall Boot Socks I've sampled several of the pricey boot socks out there and they seem to shred to pieces. I worried these might be too thick for my tall dressage boots, but they are perfect and seem much more durable than other, thinner, nylon type socks. I will wear them for awhile to see if they hold up, but it looks promising - dollar for dollar, these seem to be a good bet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great product from Ariat Great socks. Enough for tall boots, but still durable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty thin socks These socks fit nicely and are certainly thin enough to go under tall boots -- maybe a little too thin. I don't think these will last very long. I'm trying some different brands this time around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They're OK I love the material and the way they fit my foot, but my large calves are too big to pull them up all of the way. They are more like ankle socks... I should have bought Zocks instead :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sock for riding boots I've tried several different brands of riding socks for tall boots; and these are the best. They are not too thin or too thick, as some boot socks are.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 'Tall" boot socks The description of these socks did not accurately portray the height of the socks. I don't consider them 'tall' socks by any stretch of the imagination. The foot fit fine, but the top of the sock is right around mid-calf.They are well made and will likely last a long time, but the very first time I wore them, I experienced problems with them sliding down. Any sock the stops mid-calf is more likely to slide down than a true over-the-calf sock.I would not recommend them for someone who's wearing under tall boots or someone looking for a knee-sock or over-the-calf sock as they are not consider either one.if someone wants a thinner sock and they're comfortable in mid-calf or crew socks, I'm sure they'd be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice socks I love all things Ariat, and these are no exception. They fit nicely and seem to be a much higher quality than other "boot socks". I only wish that they came in more colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice socks, bad fit! I bought these socks to wear with breeches under half-chaps and tall boots. They're very nice, albeit a bit pricey. The main problem, for me, is the fit -- I wear a full (not wide, just full) calf boot, and I spent the first day I wore the socks pulling them up over and over because they weren't long enough to both cover my calf and come up as high as they should. I'm sure they'd work nicely for someone with skinny calves, though!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointment! These socks are way too short for my tall boots! Otherwise, they seem to be nicely made and are fairly comfortable.
    Date published: 2009-06-23
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I was disappointed in the fit and quality of these socks. They are not long enough to reach to the top of my calf and constantly fall down. I would not buy another pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as other styles. I have several other pairs of the thicker/shorter Ariat socks that I absolutely love. This style lacked the arch structure and other benefits of the thicker styles. They also won't stay up...an important feature when wearing riding boots. I love most Ariat socks, just not this style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more baby powder! Okay, so maybe I haven't bought new boot socks in a long time, but I was shocked when I put these on, and noticed how slick they were on the outside. I don't know what they're made of, or coated with, but my dressage boots slide on GREAT now! No more baby oil, baby powder or any other baby product is required to get me into them. It's a one-person job now. If only they came with a fabulous smell . . .
