Meet Cody, the sweetest and oldest man around our barn. Cody was my first horse and came into my life decades ago as my Team Penning companion. In true horse girl fashion, Cody has since tried just about every discipline, worn every color saddle pad, and now enjoys a life of luxury in the pasture.

Given his age, Cody needs a bit of extra support to keep him feeling his best. Over the years he has lost his vision as well as a few teeth, so we take special care with his diet to help him maintain his condition, especially through our sometimes brutal winters. He has also struggled with a few bouts of fecal water syndrome. After working with our vet, reducing stress, and supporting his gut health, he’s been much healthier, though he did lose a little weight along the way.

I am happy to report that Cody is now feeling and looking great and enjoying his life of retirement alongside his best friends.
