Ariat® Heritage Knee Patch Breech-Side Zip is rated 3.8519 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great breeches! I just got these breeches in. They're my first side zips. They fit about the same as my front zip ariats. Very comfortable. I really like the fabric. It is a little thicker than some other brands. Which is good because I am always cold! I guess the calves are just a smidge tight and the waste a little loose but that is just the way I'm built. I'll probably save them for showing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice for the price I bought these as a cheaper alternative to buying more TS. I haven't ridden in them yet but I plan to only school in them, they are not the best material for showing. Though it is *almost* the same material as TS, it's slightly thicker and less slick. I don't like the bottom of them much, as the calves fit tight (I even wear a "slim" calf tall boot and these are still tight). I love side zip and it seems very confurtable. My main problem with these is that the crotch is a little low and baggy, which means I have to tug the breeches up by the knees in order for the crotch to be correct and rideable in. This however, kind of takes away from the point of "low rise". Other than that they are very comfy and fit me well, though a little short (I am 15, 5'7", 115 lbs and got a size 24R(should have gotten long)).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You must be kidding me DO NOT BUY UNTIL REFERRING TO THE SIZING CHART. A size 30L is for a woman with 19" HIPS!!! All of my Ariat breeches are 30L, and they all fit. The 34 was too small in this breech. And Ariat does not respond to emails regarding the sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great breeches for schooling or shows I love these breeches. They are super comfortable and durable. I show a lot and love that you can wash these and they keep up their shape and continue to look great in the show ring. This is my second pair, one for each day of the show! Great buy and not too expensive!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great material, weird fit These breeches feel really nice and look pretty high quality for the price. However, like other reviewers have mentioned, the fit is a little odd. At first I thought I was going to return them, but I've tried them on a few times now and am okay with the fit because they are comfortable and are made well. They sit a little lower than I'd like, and the back gapes. You definitely need to wear a belt with these. Also, they seem to squish my butt a little and make it appear kind of flat, which is weird (especially considering I have a pretty round, muscular rear). Other than that, they are a little slim through the calves, but the material has enough stretch that they're still comfortable. Overall, I'm keeping them because, other than the slightly unflattering bum/back area, they look and feel nice and I've had trouble finding good breeches in this price range without the european seat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The other reviews are right on point with these breeches. They run large in the waist and crotch and the back gaps when you ride or sit down. However I find them to be comfortable as long as you're wearing a belt. I would not have been able to go any smaller the legs fit snug while the waist has quite a bit of extra room. Overall I love them and think they are flattering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Looking The crotch is really baggy, and the breeches get pulled down if you dont have a belt. And The side zip clasp digs into my hip. They do however look really nice, and the pockets are really roomy and dont show through. I know have a big hole in the crotch and the knee patches are balling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing These breeches seem high quality and are nice looking for shows. However, the waist fits loose and the crotch area is baggy. I bought the regular length size and they were too short, and I'm only 5'5. I really wished they had worked out because they were comfortable and perfect for showing.
