About Neville Bardos:

1999 Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding, 16.1hh
Neville was born and bred at one of Australia's most famous racehorse stud facilities, Woodlands (Scone, Northern NSW). A poor performer on the track, and having been declared "no good" as a jumper, Neville was written off early in life. In 2002, Boyd purchased Neville from a friend for $850 to save the horse from slaughter. After a rocky start to his eventing career, Neville started showing great promise, winning two Australian CCI** events in 2006. In 2007, Neville was imported to the US and finished 11th and 4th at two prestigious CCI*** events, then hit the international stage, placing 9th at Rolex Kentucky CCI**** in 2008. To date, Neville's results speak for themselves - he won Fairhill CCI*** in 2009 and went on to place 4th at Rolex Kentucky CCI*** in 2010. Neville was also Boyd's mount for the 2010 World Games in Lexington, where they were the top US finishers (10th place) and members of the 4th place US team.

About Boyd:

Boyd is one of the fastest-rising stars on the US Eventing scene. Born in Sydney, Australia, Boyd competed in three and four star events throughout Australia and New Zealand before moving to the US to train with fellow Aussie Phillip Dutton in 2007. After working as Dutton's assistant trainer, Boyd struck out on his own in 2009, but he didn't travel far. Boyd still maintains a working relationship with Dutton, and he and his wife Silva have based their business, Windurra USA, out of Dutton's True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pennsylvania
Already a winning four-star competitor back home in Australia, Boyd has achieved great success here in the US as well. Since 2008 he has racked up wins in two, three and four star events on a number of different horses, including Neville. In fact, Boyd has ranked among the top three on the USEA Leaderboard for the last three years running. In 2010, Boyd was the top US finisher in eventing at the World Equestrian Games.
