Once I figured out sizing, I am happy with it. Our 10 month old lab ran around in the snow for hours without any issues. I would have preferred an adjustable neck as it sits a bit farther back than I would like. Side closures are heavy duty and stay fastened. I have a 34 for a 10 month old 65# lab. A bit spacious in the neck and chest but I am assuming she will fill it out as she finishes growing. Might have gotten away with a 32 but I think this works.

Best dog jacket EVER!!!!
Weatherbeeta nailed it when they designed this jacket. It keeps my extremely active Staffy warm and comfortable in the winter months. He loves putting it on. I like the fact that I can put the hind leg straps on or leave them off and the blanket stays put. He also has sensitive skin like a thoroughbred and the jacket did take one washing to become super comfy for him.
I highly recommend this to any dog owner with a very active dog that loves to play in the snow but hates the cold.

I carefully measured the 2 I ordered for my 2 dogs, unfortunately both are too big and need to go back. Beautifully made and if they had fit would have kept them
My advice is order one side smaller than your measurement

Great fit and very warm
I bought this in early October for my German Shepherd. He stays in an outdoor run with a covered area and a custom made plywood dog house in the early mornings while I'm at work. He pulled the bed and blanket out of the doghouse to play with (he's a youngster still) so I needed someway to keep him warm. I decided on a coat and picked this one based on design and customer feedback. It's like a mini horse blanket, as expected from Wheatherbeeta, and it does the job perfectly of meeting both of my needs: 1) it keeps my dog warm on cold mornings (and he likes to wear it!) and, 2) he hasn't been able to pull it off and play with it. Although he's very narrow in the chest, I can cinch the belly flap up so that the coat stays snug and doesn't shift, even when he runs and jumps. It sits back on his neck a little more than it would if he was bulkier, but it keeps his body covered and warm. I'll buy another one of these if this one ever wears out. So far, no issues with that.

Excellent qualtiy!
Loved the design but unfortunately had to return because it did not fit. My 7 lb chihauhua size 12 too big and she backed out and it was too wide in the chest and did not offer a smaller size:(. It looked liked it could really be a great coat for taking your dog for walks and great colors too!

Perfect fit for my large, thin Standard Poodle!
I just recieved the coat, put it on "Hey Mister" my Standard Black Poodle, and he was literally dancing around the room, with joy. As we live in the South, where temps this time of year flucuate between 30 degrees to 85 degrees, he needs his hair coat short for those really hot days. Well, the temps have dipped again, so the hunt was on for a warm, well fitted dog coat. This coat is extremely well made, it has a large opening for his head through the collar, and his arm easily slides into the one arm hole. The other arm is secured under his belly with an extra strong and wide velcro strap. There are two hind elastic leg straps, that I can easily slide his rear legs into, just like a real horse blanket. He is so warm and toasty, that he is now sprawled out on my cold kitchen floor. Mister and I are both thrilled to have found him the perfect coat. P.S. The color and visability strips have already been tested by us, as I took him outside, and it passed that test with it's bright orange color. Thank you Weatherbeeta for making such a fine quality dog coat, and thank you Smartpak for carrying their product, and for your free shipping both ways, so I was able to get Mister the perfect fitting dog coat.

I bought this for our Rhodesian Ridgeback who is sensitive to the cold but doesn’t like to be encumbered. This parka is perfect for him...it fits well and is a good weight. The Bright Orange is a bonus because we often hike where there are hunters.

Very good quality and design
We bought this on my daughter-inlaw's recommendation as she had purchased a couple for her dogs. It was significantly better qualilty than the similar item we bought at a local pet supply house.
The guide lines for measuring the coat were very helpful and resulted in a good fit for out dog.
I had to cut and stitch a second opening to accommodate the harness that he wears when we take him for a walk as the current design only works with a collar. I don't know if that would be a alternative for you to consider. We love the color as he stands out in the snow.
I highly recommend this product.

Weatherbeeta Dog Parka
Excellent product. Our dog, a German Shorthaired Pointer, is not extra large but she does have a very deep chest so ordering a size 26 in this parka was perfect. Fits her really well and with our current temps at -4 to -12, it keeps her nice and warm. Plus the bright orange color and reflective stripe helps for everyone to quickly see her.

Fit doesn't work for my German Shepherd
Love the color and material of this dog blanket but not happy with the fit. I have a German Shepherd who has a long back and therefore needs a larger blanket due to that but she's fairly petite for her breed so unfortunately this makes the fit funky. She's able to get her legs up and through the collar part when she's running around and then the blanket ends up coming off. Also, the velcro tabs end up too far back on her body, i wish there was some more adjustabilty with this part, as I can't make it tight enough to prevent her legs from being able to come through the collar. Would probably work fine if you don't have a dog with a long back but petite in build.

One Happy Thin-coated dog
Bought this same parka years ago for one of your dogs and she loved it, especially since she had a very thin coat and the cold mornings' walks were so much better when you are warm. Two inches too big for our new hound mix. So I ordered one in his size and he thinks he is the cats' meow!

Best Dog Coat on the Market
I've been through a lot of dog coats. It happens when your dog hates the cold but loves to be outside. When I came across this coat I thought hey, why not try it? I can always send it back. She wore it for one day before I very quickly purchased a second one for my other dog.
The fit is fantastic. My Pit Bull mix can move freely and play happily while at the same time it fits my very differently shaped Corgi perfectly. They both stay warm and protected while we work outside in below 0 weather.
I especially love the chest-belly portion as it keeps the low-riding Corgi dry and warm while he paddles his way through the snow.
The quality is the best I've found. I've had these coats almost 2 years and there isn't a single loose thread on them. The dogs are not kind to them either. They are worn daily in the cold weather and involve plenty of slipping through fences, bounding through the woods, rolling, and other doggie activities.
I will always recommend this product as well as a caution to make sure and watch your dog in cold weather. Even if they do have this fantastic coat on they can get too cold and sometimes need to go back into the house or barn to warm up between play sessions.

on and off quickly and nice and warm
We bought this just in the nick of time. My dog is 16 years old and can't tolerate harsh winter weather. Now that we are in the middle of a really cold winter she can go out for a few minutes without shivering.
It is really easy to get on and off goes on like a diaper only at the other end of the body.
