Great mane and tail detangler.

Makes my horse shine!
I have been using Vetrolin shine for a few years now and it is always my go to for grooming forlock, mane, and tail. The product seems to promote growth as well as detangle and shine. I also use on overall body to assist with the ease of brushing off dust and dirt after my horse has been out in the paddock.

Classic Vetrolin - works, smells good, affordable!
I love the slightly medicinal/liniment-y smell of this coat spray. It make's my horse's hair really soft and adds a touch of shine. Note I would not recommend spraying this in saddle or girth area). Solid, affordable product!

Great Results!

This is my first refill of Vetrolin Shine. I don't need to use it on my horse's coat every time I groom him, though mostly I do. It is non-oily and smells great, (sort of like cloves, I think.) Just a fine overall mist is all my horse needs to keep his coat healthy and shining. This product is the best one I've found to detangle my horse's tail and also to gently moisturize the skin near the dock. It does a wonderful job of keeping away the end-of-winter tail rubbing.

Can't even tell I gelded him
So my horse was gelded at 5 and looking at the pictures I'm like ugh he's not as shiny anymore. Not a problem anymore! I've tried cowboy magic show sheen so on so forth and it only works like magic the first couple times. This works every time. It's amazing! And more then just shine. It's helpful for his easy to burn skin and it repels the didt a lot more then other products say they will, also a great detangler! And it's cheap! I was so sure it'd be a waste of 10 bucks but it's not. Buy it. Skip the other stuff because my gelding is now shinier then he ever was as a stallion! A must for shows and for daily care.

I use this mostly as a detangler for manes and tails, which it works great for, even helps on mud dreadlocks! I also use it if they have that layer of dust after currying- just a little spritz and then brush them with a soft brush and they're back to their shiny selves!

Good product
My trainer uses Vetrolin Shine on all of her horses and highly recommended this product to me. I agree with other reviewers that state there is a "medicine-like" smell to the product. There is an herbal, astringent quality that may bother some people however I don't mind it. I think the product works fairly well; there is a soft shine to the coat with no greasy or grimy film left behind. I like to use it in combination with conditioner and Cowboy Magic Detangler & Shine on my horses mane and tail, as well as using it in areas that may need extra "slip" to prevent rubbing (such as the Pessoa training system--which is amazing!).

AMAZING Shine!
I am a confessed fanatic when it comes to my horse's appearance. While they are young and in training, they are working to be the "part", they are most certainly going to look the part. I have tried and use everything at my disposal, Shapleys, Showsheen, Cowboy, Pepi, you name- it I love it. I was looking for something that had a sun protectant in it so I thought I would try the Vetrolin. HOLY SMOKES my little black beauty come out with an amazing, non-gunky, mirror shine finish. I like that you can spray for tail detangling and the tail doesn't feel overly dry after conditioning.

Better than Show Sheen!
This has been my go to de-tangler for almost 2 years now. I think it works better than Show Sheen, and it's less greasy. I also love that it has sunscreen in it. On my mare's body it helps to keep the dirt off (which is super helpful since she's a palomino!), and I'm able to breeze through brushing her mane and tail when I spray it on beforehand. I find wayyy less hair left in my brush too when I use it. Definitely worth it - I promise!

Solution separated, grease on top--can't use it!
Have used this for several years and LOVE it. But...the last bottle separated into liquid and mush,y oily substance on top. I could not shake it into solution. Looked like PAM when sprayed on! A nightmare on the hair..had to bathe and shampoo to remove. Probably was old and emulsifiers no longer worked. I will try again.

This is my go-to shine/detangler/conditioner!
Vetrolin shine is an essential in my grooming and show prep kit. It does not leave a greasy feeling and aids in detangling the nastiest tails, I also use it on my horse's legs during the winter and mud season to help brush off mud and leg the hair smooth and shiney. I also like the smell!

My go-to shine product
Prefer this to Show Sheen, it has the same result but doesn't seem as drying. I still try to use it sparingly, really only for shows, for extra shine, detangling tails and stain prevention. Prefer the Healthy Coat Care Coat Conditioner for everyday use and conditioning. While I think it's mostly in my gelding's genes, we frequently joke he could be an equine Pantene model.

The best detangler
Excellent product. A few squirts is all it takes. Definitely cuts down on the amount of hair that is torn out during routine brushing. I think it is helping my horse's mane and tail to grow!
