great stuff
really does last 7 days.My horse is MUCH less "twitchy" with this and doesn't stomp this hooves to death.
Also use on 3 mini donkeys-really keeps their legs nearly fly free

Knocked out early season flies and mosquitoes!
I was glad to receive the UltraShield Red fly and mosquito spray so quickly to banish those early season mosquitos and flies. They disappeared after I lightly misted my mare with the spray.

Fly Spray
I bought this primarily for deer flys, and it works well for them. I am hoping it cuts down on the small stable flies also. So far, so good!

the best ever
When I first got my horse, Star, I used this prodect and loved it. I havent seen it for awhile. I wasnt happy with others that I tried, including my homemade with essential oils. I'm happy to have found it again!!

I have never used this before but thought I'd give it a try. I doesn't work at all. Literally 5 minutes after spraying it on, flies were all over him! It is more of a fly attractor than a repellant.

The black one is way better
I have bought this spray twice this summer when the black one was not available in store. It doesn't work very well, will always order a black Ultra shield which provides UV protection as well - will order enough bottles to keep in my inventory that I will never run out; this red one is a waste of time and money.

So far, it has not worked as well as other products. It almost does not seem to be working at all! I know this is a rough time of year for fly control in NJ, but I am disappointed in the performance of this product.

works pretty well
I bought this since it was the least expensive fly product with Cypermethrin. It works pretty well. I board in Florida and it is wet and hot all of July and August. It's a pretty horse dense area as well so I really have never found a miracle fly product. I do think I like Tri Tec 14 a little better.

smells good too!!!
We all know how poorly fly spray usually works for our equine friends.This one really works for me and even worked through the awful humid Brooklyn weather. I did not see any bloody marks on his lower legs if I sprayed with Ultra Shield Red Fly Spray.Another amazing thing I noticed is the pleasant smell! Hope it continues to work!!! I already bought more.

The best Fly Spray!
Started using this product as it was recommended by our fly predator company. It works so much better than all the rest we've used over the years. I particularly like that fact that it is not oily like so many of the other products, thus keeps the coats cleaner on our horses...plus it's smells really nice!

Doesn't work
It's like spraying water on my horse. Didn't help with bugs one bit. May work better in early spring or fall but in the heart of bug season it doesn't work. My horse was so miserable I had to end my ride early and ended up buying different spray.

Better than most sprays
I've used this fly spray for a few years now. I feel it works about as well as Endure, Tri-Tec and Ultra Shield EX. This fly spray is always in my arsenal in the war against flies. A bit more expensive, but you pay for what works.

Effective Product with a Pleasant Scent
While Endure is actually my favorite fly spray brand, the Ultra Shield products come in a close second for effectiveness. I often like to combine the two products by spraying one on the horse's body and the other on the legs and belly. Perhaps something about the combination of the two seems to repel bugs better on the really hot/humid days. I like how the Ultra Shield Red Fly Spray smells, and I love the bright red bottle. Its easy to find when digging through a dark trailer tack compartment or tack trunk!

WARNING: Dangerous Allergic Reaction can Occur
I sprayed my horse with this and 24 hrs later he had minor hives, gave benadryl and they went away. A few days later used it again and 24 hours later he had hives so bad his nostrils swelled shut, he almost dies. A vet visit and 5 shots later he was ok. But not worth the risk. We use the Black Bottle of Ultra Shield with no issues, but the Tetramethrin or Cypermethrin in this formula was almost deadly for my boy. Be very careful and watch your horse closely for days after using ANY new fly spray. Switched back to the Black Bottle and no issues at all. Now I use mostly home made sprays. Wish I had taken a pic to show you, but in the moment was not thinking of that.

Fly Free Riding!
UltraShield Red gives my boys several hours of relief from pests. Works well for various biting flies and mosquitoes but doesn't always deter the huge late summer horse flies. It has a pleasant scent and doesn't irritate their skin.

Great protection, swamp bugs don't stand a chance
We live in the woods with a bay next to the pasture. Swamp bugs are like nothing you will ever experience! This product works for them like magic as well as on myself when I ride. Not another product out there can touch it

Not worth the $
I gave this spray a try as my long time favorite Repel-X was not keeping flies off as well as in the past. This Ultrashield Red was more expensive, and did no better job with the flies. It smells like citronella and did not last long at all. Just an average spray. Going back to Repel X.

I live on the coast of Maine where we breed every flying, blood-sucking insect on the planet. We feature, in order of appearance, black-flies, fresh and salt-water mosquitoes, greenheads, deer flies, moose-flies (aka cow flies) and biting stable flies and that's just May-July. I don't know how many varieties of ticks we have, but I'm focusing on the winged critters at the moment. My horse was born without a tail, so he's at a major disadvantage in the fly-swatting department. Just started using this product and I have to say, it seems to be doing a bang-up job.

Good stuff
I do like this fly spray. I use the ultra shield in the black bottle for summer months when flies are really bad. But then I buy this for the non summer months. It's a few dollars cheaper but does the trick.
