Super light weight & keeping my white horse clean
Okay so I have a white horse who sleeps on his poop. I wanted the grey one. I order that originally. Not realizing it has pink and purple trim. I order it on my phone and missed the trim color. Smartpak made getting the white with blue trim switched out very easy. I didn’t buy it for fly protect just poop protection. I use it at night time in his stall. He is definitely less poopy in the morning. Sometimes a little poop rubs through but I’m definitely not having to give a full bath before going out in public. Just a quick spot check and we are on our way.

Ripped up after one day in the pasture
After only a day in the pasture, this sheet was torn and ripped so badly in multiple places it was beyond repair. Very disappointing, since my horse is usually pretty gentle on his outerwear

Not for wide chested horses
Purchased and liked material and fit. Seemed it would be cool and stayed in place well. Horse is very wide chested and despite fitting well, shoulders were rubbed raw in 24 hours of wearing.

Nice!
I bought this to keep the flys off. It nice material. It seams to work well. I got the white and hose it down it cleans a little but threw it in the wash came out looking new again I didn’t put it in the dryer. The only thing I noticed is that it rubs his shoulders even though it fits well.

Okay for the price
I’ll be honest I really wanted to like this because the sheet itself isn’t too bad and I love the extra velcro on the front/chest but within 3-4 days my pony managed to rip it. I’m assuming she got the sheet caught on something but regardless it is disappointing to have a rip so soon. To be fair I understand things happen and I wouldn’t be upset if my horses were rough on sheets or were known to rip things but honestly my horses are so mild on their sheets and blankets that her last fly sheet has lasted about 4 years or so with no rips.
I only purchased this sheet because I wanted something a little lighter/cooler than her typical Kensington fly sheet and for the price I thought I’d give it a chance! The reviews mentioned it didn’t last very long but because my horse and pony are so good with their sheets/blankets I thought I might be able to get away with it. I was obviously wrong but for anyone who has a horse who is alone on a big open pasture turn out where they can be monitored for a short amount of time and then have the sheet taken off it would be fine!
I would recommend this to a friend because the light weight is nice in the heat, I like the velcro, and the price is hard to resist. It’s very average but I’ve had sheets with worse hardware so I’m not upset with that and I have plenty of friends who just need a light weight fly sheet to turn their horse out alone for an hour or so who would probably be content with this.

Durability = low
I've bought three sheets, two of which I have had on my horses for about 2 weeks now. Both are falling apart. I know that this are very conservatively priced, but I think the quality is showing in the price. I'm hoping that the two I'm using will last a few more weeks. I'll be returning the one that I have not used.

Great price
I got the 84, 81, 81 and 78
The 84 fit my horse that wears 84 in the rambo. The front tends to hang a little low but most sheets sit too high on this guys chest. Unfortunately he's the low man so the sheet got torn after 2 nights. The 81 fits my mare who is a bit chunky. She's worn it for about a week or so but no one's gonna rip hers, LOL.
The 2nd 81 is a back up for another horse.
The 78 fits my super fat, wide tobiano paint. He wears a 75 in rambo and this 78 fits him well. There is no tail flap on these sheets so the 78 hangs just a tiny bit which is good because he has pink skin at the top of his tail. He is very wide and this fly sheet still covers his sides nicely.
For the price, the sheet is nice. My low man in the field has had $150 to $200 fly sheets, different brands and this sheet. They all have holes. I'm hoping to repair some. I put tape on the dime sized holes on his new smartpak sheet. That was a mistake. A total target and now they are dollar bill sized holes. I wasn't to upset about this tuffRider brand cause it's holding up well for the other two horses that are wearing theirs.

Light weight!!
This is the second one I have bought. Love how light weight they are! I use them for the horses in a paddock. Would not recommend them for use in a pasture situation.

Ripped within 24 hours
This fly sheet was ripped and off my mare within 24 hours. She isn’t hard on her blankets or fly sheets either. I would recommend a different fly sheet to anyone looking at this.

Fits my thoroughbred well. However after one day of him wearing it, it had small rips/holes in the fabric.

Has lasted longer than I thought for the price
My horse goes through many sheets each summer but needs them due to big bite sensitivity and to stop coat bleaching. I bought this as a back up sheet and it has worked out ok. Has tons of snags all over after about 3wks of use but is still holding up. Only trouble was that the leg straps are very short. The overall size of the sheet is good but I had to replace the leg straps.

Well fitting!
I bought this for my lease pony, and the first sheet that came in ripped on the first night. It ripped in a square shape, so my manager and I assumed it was defective. Went online to Smartpak to fill out the return form and they said no worries about returning, keep it and you’ll get store credit. So I did just that! Kept this one and sewed up the rip to use it as a back up, and ordered myself a new one for free which works much better! Definitely gives my little girl a huge relief.

Did not last long unfortuneately
I bought this fly sheet since my horse fractured her tail mid April. I wanted to have it ready since she was not using her tail much and I know the flies bother her. The sheet fits great and was working out well, but unfortunately it only lasted a couple weeks before it tore right at the surcingle. Thankfully it is still usable, I can still buckle the buckles, etc, but I was disappointed that it did not last long, especially since she has never ripped a sheet before, but the fly sheets are of course much thinner than a turnout. She did still get some bug bites through the sheet too. If she continues to not use her tail to swish at the flies, I may need to consider a tougher fly sheet.

Decent Quality for the Price
I bought this because my horse is out with some other horses that like to play rough and didn't want to be out a lot of money when this was inevitably destroyed. Fits true to size. Not super durable; already has a couple small holes after two weeks. But it does the job.

Lightweight
I like the weight of this fly sheet, very light and my horse hasn't been too hot. Sturdy so far, my mare rolls more than most horses I know and it is holding up well. I do feel it runs slightly small. I have ordered a 75 and 76 in any sheet/blanket for my mare with no issues but the 75 is definitely rubbing on her shoulder. I will likely just order a larger size.

True to size fits well, nice Velcro front closure
My Dutch warm blood is wearing a 78 and it fits well, nice Velcro front closure.
I wish it covered more on top of neck but other than that it works well.
Don’t like the clips on leg straps, check to make sure they are fully closed
before turn out.

have had them on the horses for a few weeks, very light weight, liner on shoulders, like the double straps in front with the velcro to keep in place on the chest.

Lightweight and breathable
I bought this about a month ago for a paint mare that I am leasing. She easily sunburns on her rump and wanted to get her something that would provide some protection. It’s lightweight and breathable, but it did give her some rub marks on her shoulders. She is built like a quarter horse, so next time I will probably go a size up to give her some extra room.

Great for the price!
I bought this and it’s definitely true to size. Cheap but for the price it’s well worth it. My pony has definitely been down and rolled and it has no rips or tears. The pink is a cute touch too!

Surprised
Based on past reviews. I didn't expect this to last more than a week. But my poor horse that sweats a lot needed something, and it was cheap enough. It has been worn for 3 weeks, 24/7 and only removed for washing and it is in one piece. The fit is great and it is a nice light mesh that isn't too hot here in TX but keeps the flies off. Don't know how much longer it will last as his pasture mate is a chewer, but so far so good.
