Not for use on horses intended for human consumption. Shake well before using. To protect horses from Horse Flies, House Flies, Stable Flies, Face Flies, Horn Flies, Deer Flies, Gnats, Mosquitoes, Lice, Ticks, and Deer Ticks that may transmit Lyme Disease: thoroughly brush the horse’s coat prior to application to remove loose dirt and debris. For dirty horses, shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Wait until the coat is completely dry before applying TRI-TEC 14™ FLY REPELLENT. TRI-TEC 14™ FLY REPELLENT’S unique water-resistant formula contains a special conditioner that binds to the hair shaft so it keeps working even in moist conditions or when the horse sweats.
TRI-TEC 14™ FLY REPELLENT may be applied either as a spray or as a wipe. For horse’s face, always apply as a wipe using a piece of clean, absorbent cloth, toweling (Turkish) or sponge. Wear rubber glove or mitt when applying as a wipe. Spray or wipe horse’s entire body while brushing against the lay of the coat to ensure adequate coverage. Avoid getting spray into horse’s eyes, nose or mouth.
Application should be liberal for best results. Reapply every 5 to 7 days under normal conditions for initial applications. As protection builds, reapply every 10 to 14 days as needed. Also, reapply each time animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain.

good as any
I used this brand last summer and it seemed to be as good as any of the "good" fly sprays. Here in Florida, we do have to spray every day. It doesn't last 2 weeks! I bought this one because the price was a few dollars lower than the other ones in the same catagory.

Works OK, but not great
This fly spray works about average. I had to apply it a least once a day and it didn't keep all the flies away. It does have a bit of a residue as well. Sun screen doesn't work at all, my black girl was very brown. All in all I think that Ultra Shield and Endure work better.

Better than Most
This fly spray seems to do a pretty good job. However, I do not get the 14 day duration that they advertise. I spray pretty much anytime before I ride, my mare seems to be ultra sensitive to flies, even a horse fly buzzing around her head sends her into fits. So, I'd rather spend more, and use more spray than to deal with her silliness.

Aweful Stuff
This stuff is aweful! It's like scented water! I was very disapointed especially for the price. When you buy cheap fly spray you expect that it won't be great but for almost $20 I expected it to keep flys off. The second I sprayed it flys were landing on my mare left and right.

Works well as fly spray can. Do believe it is one of the better spray. Does seem to last alittle longer but does leave a residue on horses coat that attracts dirt. Still would use to help with flies and horseflies.

Agree with other reviewers that this product does a good job in killing/repelling ticks. More expensive than some other brands but won't risk using one that is not rated for ticks.

Fantastic Fly Spray
I us TriTech all the time for my mare that has many allergy problems that create hives with some other products - I have found it to work the best in ridding her of flies!

Good Stuff
This works really well but over the years I have had a couple of horses react to it by developing hives.......no problems when I washed them off and used something else. I do have to apply it every day or every other day for it to work the best....we have a dairy close so we get flies that prefer horses to cattle....and then some!

Best Fly Spray Out There
This is a great fly spray. Works better than any other, and you only have to apply it once a week or less. Better than any other, worth the price because in the end, you use more of the cheap stuff because you have to apply it at least every other day.

Best Fly Spray Ever!
This is the only fly spray I've found that actually works to keep flies off my horses. It also does a fabulous job of keeping them tick free. My horses are usually the only ones at the barn without ticks all over them in the spring.
I don't think any fly spray works for as many days as it claims, but I use it once per day and it really helps. It isn't greasy, smells nice, and also contains sunscreen which is great for my Paint.
I don't mind spending a little bit more money when I know the product is actually working. I recommend it to everyone who will listen!

Great fly spray
I have tried a handful of different fly sprays this summer, and had very little success with most of them. The Bronco fly spray might as well have been water, and the Pyranha fly spray gave my horses a TERRIBLE skin reaction that took them out of training for a week.
This tri-tec spray is by FAR the best fly spray I have tried. The bottle applies a fine mist that easily coats the horse in a few sprays, and it seems to last at least 3-4 days (the bottle advertizes a 14-day efficacy, but I've found it loses potency by the end of that time). However, I wasn't even getting ONE day of efficacy out of the other products, so I am super impressed with this one! It definitely kills flies instantly if they are sprayed, and it keeps my horses from being bitten out in the pasture (we have a creek and the flies are very bad). My mares don't tolerate fly masks or sheets, so fly spray is my only option, and this one does the trick. Kind of pricey, but like I said, coats the horse with just a few sprays and lasts longer than any other product. Also didn't cause any skin reactions or sensitivity. Definitely a good product and good value.

Have used them all, but this is one that gets the
flies off, and keeps them off. My horse is very
sensitive and will have blood on his white legs
from the flies, but this product really protects
him.

Tri-Tec
We are new to horses and knew nothing about fly spray. The ones we tried worked but did not last more than a day. It was expensive. Out of desperation I read the labels at TSC. All the spray had the same stuff in it EXCEPT Tri-Tec. They had one gallon left stuffed in the back and all dusty. I got a discount on it LOL. It worked great. It stays on when they sweat and repels for at least 3 days. Have not seen the 14 days they advertise but it is the best we have found. It even helps with horse flies but is not meant to. Smartpak has the best price I could find and is great to work with!! No regrets.

Best Fly Spray I've Ever Used!
I am very happy with this fly spray! I was using Bronco e and it wasnt working a all. I was applying it multiple times a day so when that bottle was gone i switched to Tri Tec and its been great!! Its been a day and no signs of flys my horses are happy and comfortable. Even though its more pricey its worth it as i will be using it a lot less.

Great Fly-Spray!
I tried Tri Tec because my trainer recommended it to me. It has been very effective in repelling flies. I was the only one who used Tri Tec at my old barn and my mare was the only horse who wasn't mauled by flies. It comes out as a light mist and smells pleasant. My bottle lasted the entire summer, too!

Very Effective
I bought this at the recommendation of a friend for my mare out in the pasture 24/7. I go out every 2-3 days and I have not found any flies on her when I get out there every since I have been using the tri-tec.
Since it is so effective, I don't need to re-apply before riding, but I do re-apply before turning her out again. It doesn't have a strong odor and I only need to cover her with a light misting, so I expect this spray bottle will last for a while.

This poduct works well at repeling all sorts of flying bugs - gnats, horse flies, flies, and more! It really does seem to last a long time and since you use less I consider it a good value.

A fly spray that doubles as a shine promoter!
I bought this product because, in addition to it's insect repelling properties, it contains sunblock, which my light chestnut with lots of chrome needs. Little did I know that it would make his coat the shiniest and silkiest it's ever been. I actually bought a shine product at the same time, but I haven't even opened that yet because the Tri Tec 14 works so well! I have already ordered more. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product--five stars!

good produce but damaged sprayer despite the wrapp
good product, however even with the careful packing (tape so that it doesn't leak, bubble wrap so that the trigger is protected) the top of the sprayer had a large crack down the center.

Hands Down Best Fly Spray on the Market
I have been using this fly spray for the last 3 years and have found it to work the best. I don't have to reapply has often as other brands and it smells good. Paying the extra dollars is worth it for this one!

good fly spray
I bought this fly spray due to the built in sunscreen. The fly spray itself does seem effective, we will see with time if the sunscreen aspect works or not. I do find that I have to apply liberally every day for it to work, but considering how some other sprays don't even last an hour, a day is not bad!
