Great Size for Trailer with Mangers
Took a stab at purchasing the cross tie length for our new horse trailer because all the "trailer tie" length ones were always to short. This one was perfect! I like that it has 2 different clips and if the horse breaks loose we will still have extra to grab onto. Heavy duty product, plan on purchasing 3 more for the rest of the trailer.

Did not work - broke at the safety snap
I've had these ties for probably 10 years now. Yesterday my horse panicked in the trailer and pulled back, the tie snapped at the base of the safety end. Garbage can.

Very safe for high strung horses
I've been using these for a few years now. I have both laid-back and high strung horses, and this works well for both of them. I love how when something spooks them and th upey break away you get a very loud popping noise, which generally refocuses their attention back front. This refocusing gives me the ability to get ahold of them by the hanging piece still attached to their halter. It's been an invaluable training aid. I'm extremely pleased with how well they do hold, yet they avoid entering the horse when they do panic and break away. Most of the people I ride with have replaced their barn and trailer ties to these after watching my horses with them. I highly recommend these! It's safer than most any other tie out there, it will avoid injuring your horse and it will save you money with leather Breakaway halters.
As many of you know, when a horse breaks away, particularly on cross ties, the hook end of the cross tie becomes a flying missile. With these when they break away you don't have that metal piece coming back at you to hurt you. that's another huge advantage of these over your standard ties.
If, like me, you have horses that break away on a regular basis you will need to replace these after a couple of years. But if your horse doesn't break away very often these will last you many many years. When looking at the cost

Great in the beginning
I was extremely happy about this product in the beginning as i have a young horse that pulls on her rope occasionnally. The tie released her and she stayed quiet. However, after a while she understood how much to pull exactly to get released and go graze...so now she does it every single time....

Safer way to tie my horse
Well made ties. My so-called quick release bungee tie did not do its job in the trailer and snapped like a rubber band instead of releasing, scaring my horse and resulting in a vet bill. This tie is made with Velcro and will release much easier if there is a problem.

Great trailer ties
I purchased these particular ties as I have one horse that is not particularly trustworthy at being tied and occasionally likes to pull back and break things. Better a trailer tie than her halter or her neck! I have only used them once with each horse and so far so good. They fit my trailer attachment sites well and I have not adjusted the length. Luckily, they have not been"tested" yet, but have already given me peace of mind, a priceless commodity while trailering.

well made
Got these to replace 10 year old bungie style cross-ties. These seem much safer, are well made and nicely adjustable. One month of use without incident, no young crazy horses now so we will see how long it takes for a real test of a pull back.

Slightest pressure it comes apart
Comes apart way too easily and horses learn to pull and break loose.

Piece of mind once my horse freaks
I really like this cross tie, it keeps my mind in piece once my horse freaks out while she is tied. I use it all the time. wished they came in sets for a reasonable price.

Great concept
I really love these trailer ties but I cannot use them in my trailer. My trailer tie rings are too wide for the quick release or bull hook ends of the trailer ties.

Safely secure
I purchased these safety ties based on many positive reviews that I found online. Although my horse has pulled back in the past (once he broke the tie ring off the trailer while tied to be tacked up), he hasn't since I started using these ties. Nonetheless, I do feel better using this tie as opposed to a bungee-type quick release when securing him in the trailer.

Ingenious!
Very clever cross ties. I love that if a horse breaks out of them, they will still have a small lead rope hanging from their halter to catch them. Very smart.

Nicely made!
I had a hard time finding trailer ties that were long enough for my new trailer. which has managers. These fit the bill perfectly. They seem to be made well and are adjustable. I have not used them yet as I have not hauled a horse yet.

Safety First!
Purchased these to end the tying and untying of lead ropes in the trailer. The safety release is backed up by a velcro release, which leaves you something to catch your horse with in the event of an escape. A generous length and also adjustable.

Just Right
I bought a used trailer, and hadn't realized it wouldn't come with ties. So I used a lead rope tied with quick-release knots until these were delivered. When I put them in, I was pleased to notice that they were exactly the length to which I had adjusted the lead rope. I'm pleased with the purchase.

good enough
i have an 11' wide aisle and the cross ties are great but could use a little more length. I am afraid to velcro less than half of the total allowable.

Secure and safe!
This item a friend of mine had for a long time, has lasting quality and functionality. I bought one for myself and have still gotten the same great results! It gives a great piece of mind then hauling someone new or working with a green horse. I love it, it's the only tie I will use from now on.

It works exactly the way it's supposed to!
My little mustang can behave like a toddler when it comes to taking a bath. He doesn't cross tie, so I bought only one of these Tie-Safe Ties. When he started acting up and pulling back I thought (for a brief moment) that he would pull the post out of the ground. Instead I heard the velcro starting to come undone. So did he and he was so surprised he just stopped struggling. I know if he had tried harder, he could have gotten out of his bath time but the velcro would have kept all of us safe - which is most important to me.

ONLY TRAILER TIES I WILL USE!!
I have a 24 year old barrel horse that is as mellow as you can get but one day he was in the last stall of my horse trailer and backed out before I could unsnap him /: thank God no one got hurt but he set back and luckily broke the tie down that was used to tie him. Since then, I have learned my lesson and will only use these safety ties. Also great for training babies ( I have a weanling who is still getting used to the trailer ) and they aren't expensive!

Works wonderfully!
I use the trailer tie's in my trailer and also on my picket line (attached to a lead rope tied to the high line) for over-night camping. My horse has a bad habit of scratching his ear with his back hoof, which can turn into a disaster when tied to a high line with a regular tie. With the Tie-Safe the velcro just gives way and he walks safely to the nearest patch of grass. I'd much rather catch a horse then call the vet!
