Why We Love This

Slim, yet supporting boot popular with myriads of disciplines from reining to dressage. Support Boots are traditionally made with a thick neoprene lining, ThinLine has redesigned this style of boot to give you the best boot with none of the historical drawbacks.

Favorite Features

  • Lined with the high-tech, flexible, and soft ThinLine material, these boots provide the impact protection and tendon support needed but are thin and pliable to allow the horses to flex their joints with more ease and comfort. Once heated to body temperature this boot molds to the leg for a perfect custom fit every time.
  • ThinLine vents heat, legs stay cooler.
  • Infused with anti-fungal agents, swap this boot from horse to horse and keep rain-rot (scratches) at bay! USDA approved anti-fungal.
  • No more bulk!  This boot gives your horses leg a clean sleek look.
  • No more dirt! The slick lining does not gather dirt like traditional neoprene

Instructions for Use:

ThinLine Care Instructions:

How to Use:
ThinLine recommends basic ThinLine or Ultra ThinLine pads be used between your saddle and regular saddle pad. Most customers use cotton or wool pads underneath. While you can use ThinLine pads directly on the horses back the lifespan of the pad may be shortened and it voids the warranty. All pads with felt or cotton backing are made to be used alone. Some ThinLine or Ultra ThinLine pads may come with a crease where the pad has been folded to be bagged and shipped. These creases will disappear when warmed to body temperature (1-2 rides). All ThinLine products can be cleaned/washed using the ThinLine Cleaner or the ThinLine Wipes.
ThinLine and Ultra ThinLine:

Can be wiped clean (we like baby wipes), hosed off, soaked, bleached, or even machine washed (some machines may catch tm, so front loader is best) in cold water. Mild soaps and detergents can be used, but please do not put them in the dryer! Hang to dry (which really isn’t necessary either as ThinLine doesn’t absorb water.) What to watch out for: keep your ThinLine away from chemicals such as Show Sheen.

Boots: Just sponge or hose off the inside and they are ready to go! Schooling, Sport, and SMB boots and plain bell boots be also be machine washed, cool temperatures please. For leather boots wipe clean and maintain leather as need. Bell boots and Cobra boots will need to hang ot dry if completely washed or soaked. Bell boots with Sheepskin trim should be gently hand washed or follow the direction on reverse for sheepskin care. ThinLine material should be wiped with soap and water only.

ThinLine Cobra Support Boot is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use Soft yet supportive boot. I thought there was no way this was not going to be a sticker-burr magnet but to my surprise, only 3 sticker burrs were stuck to it. I haven't had it long but am pleased so far and I believe my horse approves too. While opposed to my wrapping technique, she didn't voice any objections to the boot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay boot Not what I was expecting. They are bulky and tend to slip a bit. I was hoping for a more fitted, flattering fit but that's not what I got. They aren't terrible but not anything extraordinary either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice boots I am really happy with these boots, I'd even go so far as to say they're the best ones I've ever had. They fit well, are well made, are easy to put on and the support is great. I loaned them to a friend to try and she bought a pair too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great support boots! So far, I really like these boots. They are softer and conform better than SMB boots. I think they offer better support. I have only used them a few times so far, but there has not been one grain of sand inside the boots when I took them off. I bought the size M for my 15 hand Arabian, and the size is just right (I usually use a SMB M in the past).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boot Does keep out sand better than smbs, easier to clean inside. Think I should have ordered a size smaller although I went by recommended sizing. Overall happy with purchase

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fits well I always wrap my horse's legs and want support and a long wearing product. these boots fit well and don't get dirty inside the boot. just wipe clean.I hope they don't rip easily.I won't know till a few months!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great support for my horse! Really like this product. Little awkward at first putting the boots on my horse. But after working her in them, they do conform to your horse's legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great boots! i can't speak for their durability yet but my horse will be wearing these boots nearly 24-7 so we'll find out but i have to say the velcros are incredibly strong and makes it actually hard to open them up. they run a bit small and i got them in a size large, my only complaint
    Date published: 2014-03-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I bought these boots a few months ago and they are exactly what I needed. I use them almost every day in all types of footing. The insides are easy to clean. The problem I have had with them is that if I take them out on hacks tree and grass debris gets stuck to the outside and is almost impossible it get off. Mud to easy to wipe off with a damp rag through. The sizes do run small though. My paint usually can get by with a small front and medium hind. He is 15.3. The front pair had to be a medium and they fit well and his hind has to be large. There really needs to be more sizes so I can refer them my friends who have largewarmblood. I do believe these boots provide superior protection. No sand or mud ever gets inside the boots. I only use these boots on my paint and don't share them with my other horse so now they are pretty much molded to his legs when I put them on. He can have some ligament issues so I got these to help him ease into more strenuous work and so far we have had no issues. The overall construction is very nice. I have not had any seams pop and the Velcro is holding tight. Overall I love the protection these boots provide and the quality. Only hand wash these boots and they will last you a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great support boot Using these to rehab an FEI warmblood with DDF tendon and inferior check ligament damage.Being very careful in bringing him back but I have used these for added front leg support and am pleased with the result...almost ready to show PSG again! Highly recommend these boots but don't machine wash them as the material broke down. Ok to scrub them by hand though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Support, but Bulky These do support wonderfully, however they are bulkier than the SMB's (elite). I am assuming this is from the ThinLine lining. In which case it give so much support who cares about a little bulk? They are SUPER easy to clean, I just wipe them off with a baby wipe after every use, and they are good to go for the next ride! They can be a little difficult to get on as the ThinLine material doesn't mold to the legs cold, and sometimes be hard to get as tight as needed. As for durability. I haven't had them for too long so I can't really say, but the velcro 'pulls' seem much sturdier than on the SMB's. Although the straps are larger in width so again don't look as stream line as the SMB's.But compared to the SMB's these have to give so much more support and shock absorption with the lining being made totally out of the ThinLine material.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but... Nice boots but sizing is a bit off. Back boots are also a bit shorter than I would like. Nice material and design, just wish they fit a bit more like the professional choice elite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Thinline product for my collection I have the Thinline sport boots that fit better on my TB, so I use these mainly on my Paint/TB cross when jumping or galloping. I love these and he has never been sore after a workout when I use them. They are super easy to clean, no matter how muddy the terrain is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Like I really like the fit of these boots, a low-profile support boots with easy application. I've used these boots for hacking, lunging and jumping and haven't had any dirt inside the boots or rubs on the legs.Fit is important on my sensitive skinned, easily rubbed TB.Down side - ThinLine needs to come up with more sizes. These boots do run on the small side. My TB normally wears a S/M in Equifit boots and is in a large in these boots. Front

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I am returning the 2 pairs of Thinline Cobra boots that I received today from SmartPak. One pair was small and the other medium, both in white. The small were for my horse's front legs and the medium were for her back legs. Although both pairs are white, the small pair is a creamy white color that is very different from the brighter white of the medium pair. More importantly, whereas the stitching on the small pair looks good, the stitching on the medium pair looks rather loose and shoddy -- near the bottom of the boots. I didn't bother to try the boots on my horse. For $78.95 per pair, I expected much better quality. Shame on Thinline

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish they had more sizes... I love all the ThinLine products and when I saw these boots, I just had to have them. What I really love about them is that they are very thin. My horse hates wearing the thick neoprene boots, but she doesn't mind these at all, its like she doesn't even know they're on! I just wish they came in more sizes. I ordered the large and they are a bit snug and short on my 16.2 TB. I know they wouldn't fit her hind legs, only the front. Other than that, I really like them.
