Power chewer found a favorite!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog is a 75 lb Catahoula/Plott Hound mix with a sprinkle of Pitbull, Doberman, and German Shepherd. In other words, she’s a walking giant bear trap of a mouth that could probably bite through concrete if need be. We have tried everything out there. Even bully sticks don’t last more than a few minutes because she just bites clean through and swallows. Edible Nylabones she can also bite right through- even the giant ones. Expensive and worrisome that so much compressed product was just sitting in her tummy.
Then we found the wolf fish skins, or as we lovingly call them, “fishies”. She’ll do anything for one. They never get old for her. One strip lasts her about 7-10 minutes because she actually chews them to get soft before swallowing each bite. She doesn’t get bad breath even right after which is great for us! What makes me completely content about buying these even though they are spendy is that they are an all natural healthy as all get out treat. They are an exotic treat and you do pay more for the extra effort they go to on their end as well. We’ve tried the cod too but they don’t work for a power chewer although she loved them too!

I was excited for our dog to try the Wolfish Skin Beams as a treat. He gobbles things down so fast and
I was hoping these would last more than a few minutes. Unfortunately, my 75 pound Husky almost swallowed them whole! I think they would be fine for a smaller dog, or a dog that is not an aggressive chewer.

My heeler & husky mixes

They are the perfect “yard treat,” and I never notice a lingering fishy smell on them. My pup’s favorite
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy a range of chew treats and hides for my girl. These are by far her favorite. She’s a medium chewer (30# Brittany spaniel) and it usually takes her 10 or so minutes, if that. Depends on the skin (they vary in size, so I try to make multiples out of really big pieces). They do have a fish stank if you’re near them chewing it, but it doesn’t bother me beyond the initial few seconds.

These “fishies” are my bulldogs absolutely favorite - they go crazy for them! As soon as they hear me go to the cupboard and grab the bag they get so excited. They have a strong fish smell but that’s what you would expect with real fish. We have to have these on auto ship!

Next, rhino horn chews?
I'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1 because my dog likes the taste and I like the single ingredient.
But, all Atlantic wolffish species are overfished and most are classified as threatened. I wish I'd looked this up before purchasing, even a byproduct that supports the market for a species that shouldn't be fished. I won't be buying again.
