Smartpak has the best price
I can’t remember where I bought mine but I love them. It really is helpful. I have a mare that has ripped hanging feeders off the wall that were screwed in or even broken them from biting it.She rarely flips this bucket. I had been keeping an eye out for more and smartpak is hands down the most economical. Everyone else that is carrying them wants more for the bucket plus more for oversized shipping. I recommend them for sure.

Super Comfy for My Horses
I bought these buckets about a month ago for feeding grain to my horses. They are phenomenal! In comparison to regular water/feed buckets, they are so comfy for my horses to eat from. They no longer bang their foreheads on the handle. They're also much deeper than I anticipated so no risk of spilling feed as they eat. Will never go without these again!

My horse loves it
I bought one of these for shows because my horse was either not eating his grain in a regular bucket or tossing it all around the stall in a ground feeder. This bucket was exactly what we needed, I like that it is so easy for them to reach in to. Wish I had found it sooner!

mine was outside all winter and didnt crack or break - it was filled full of grain daily (soak the grain) and did amazing.

Safer for eyes
I bought this bucket for field fed horses. The design reduces the risk of eye injury compared to smaller buckets. This bucket is holding up to hard use in the field.

tried 2 buckets
I have 8 stalls so i bought 2 of these better buckets to see if i would like them, and put them in with horses that are the HARDEST on their buckets-i.e. knocking, kicking, nudging..and these buckets have held up now (been 4 months). so far I am happy. i will be ordering 6 more when they come back in stock.

I bought this for my horses feed buckets. I was using regular round water buckets, but both my horses would lift their heads out after a bite and drop half their grain on the floor. This bucket is so roomy with a sloped front. They both now keep their heads in their grain buckets until it's all gone. No more wasted grain!

Great bucket
My gelding previously had a corner feeder and would stir up his feed and fling it out of his bucket. I tried this bucket to see if it would help. It has made a huge difference. He now eats quietly with little to no feed spilled. Great product.

No Wasted Feed!
This bucket allows the horse to comfortably reach all feed without spilling or wasting feed. Seems big and bulky at first, but the horse's comfort while eating is not an issue.

Great Feed Bucket!!
I purchased 2 of these feeders for my horse who had undergone extensive dental surgery. I hoped it would make it easier for him to reach in for all the left over grain! He has a large head and although he did ok with his old bucket, I felt more room would prevent him from bumping sore areas around his jaw. Note that they do protrude out due to their slanting design for ease of reaching their food. It seemed too big in the beginning, but they are working out just fine. They are deep as well, so probably not great for ponies, etc. I am very pleased with them overall!! They are also well made in my opinion !!

Easy for the horses to eat out of. The design of the bucket is nice so any size horse can get to their grain. Cleaning is easy and fits well on the fence. They also are made really well.

Great product
I bought this bucket a few weeks ago and I am so happy with it! I bought it for water and feed and my horse is no longer “angry” at the bucket while eating. it makes it a lot easier to eat and drink since he can slide his big head in there.

We got these buckets about 3 weeks ago and love them. We have a draft, a Percheron cross, and a thoroughbred/quarter horse cross. The reason for getting then is the draft choked twice in the same week so we had to elevate his feed. The large buckets we had were just too small for him. The better bucket is perfect! In fact, we think all three of them enjoy this wide open bucket for their grains. We notice less spillage. Highly recommend the better bucket!

Great concept, not great quality
I have an older gelding - he gets chiropractic adjustments every 4 weeks to keep him in tip top shape. Everytime I would watch him eat and twist his head and stand awkwardly, it seemed counterproductive....enter this bucket. The concept is great, he can keep his head straight while he eats, there is plenty of space for him to move his head. It's easy to clean. Since we have cinder block walls at the barn, I don't have to deal with trying to hang a corner bucket. But after only a few months, the metal hanging arm broke. I've had horses for 32 years and have never had the metal arm on a bucket break. My horse is not aggressive when eating, he doesn't toss the bucket or anything. I was so surprised this happened. I've had horses in the past scratch their rear ends on buckets to the point the buckets are mangled, the arm never breaks. I'm going to order another one in hopes that the quality will improve.

My mare LOVES it!
The design of this buck t is great! When I bought it I had the barn helpers in mind... for easy cleaning. However... My horse drains this bucket first, so cleaning out is a breeze anyway! Shes a picky horse and doesn't like to drink with her halter on because it hits the bucket. The open design obviously make her very comfortable to use it.

Love this bucket
I wanted a larger grain bucket that could be easily hung and removed daily to clean.This bucket is it. My horse can get his head in very easily without pressing his forehead/eyes up against the wall or hanger.

Great bucket for large headed horses
My large quarter horse gelding likes to lose grain as he's eating, and then eats it off the ground, getting dirt, shavings, etc with it. I decided to give this bucket a try, since it's large enough for his head, and has tall sides. It has ended our grain to ground problem. I have ordered more for my other horses.

Superb bucket - ergonomic and fits draft snouts
Have bought several of these, initially for our first draft horse since she cannot reach the water at the bottom of a typical bucket, and have bought 1-2 for each light horse,for situations when we must feed from a bucket hung on a fence or stall wall. The angle of the neck/head appears more comfortable (less over flexed) when they eat from these buckets.

Yes and No
I loved this bucket. I have a five yo who is aggressive about eating his bucket. He likes to bang the bucket around a bit. I can’t use a floor tub as he paws it over and spills all his feed and supplements. At first this bucket was the answer to all problems then i had to duct tape the thing together in the back because he too experienced a big crack down the back of the bucket. I have just ordered another one as a replacement. I’ll see how that goes... the first one lasted about six months. The design is great.

Love this bucket!!
I purchased my first one of these 6 years ago and I have replaced all my feed and water buckets that are hanging in the stalls with these. In the old flat back styled bucket the horse would put their head in get a mouthful of grain and then pull their head out of the bucket to chew. This put grain all over the floor. With these buckets they keep their head in the bucket for chewing. The watch out with these is that they are no good for carrying water in. Unless you are real steady the big slopped opening will spill a lot of water on the way to your destination. Also don’t set them on the floor full of water they tip easy. But the really are the best for the horse to eat and drink out of.

Great design for feed bucket
I ordered 3 of these and I will be ordering one for every stall.
This is a great design and well made, heavy duty.
The horses are able to easily get to their food and seem to waste less
I have automatic feeders for grain that drop into these large buckets
I can easily remove them for cleaning
