Great blanket and customer service
Love the ten year guarantee and the overall blanket design. I was really impressed with the customer service and how quickly a new one was sent out as a replacement. My horse has been hard on blankets and this one lasted 5 years, which is amazing. I just this had more color options and/or patterns. We have a boarding barn with over half of the horses in this blanket and would be nice to have more color options!

The only blanket you ever need!
I bought this sheet a year ago after my horse had ripped 2 other brands' blankets within two months. I simply wanted one blanket that can hold up. This ultimate sheet has exceeded my expectation. The fabric has held up, the hardwares are the most solid I've seen. The 10 year warranty has also given me peace of mind knowing that I won't be left scrambling in blanket crisis in the middle of winter anymore. You can't go wrong with this blanket quality-wise. It fits my big-bodied TB quite well. I have not noticed any rubbing anywhere.

Love it. Wish it came in High Neck
Please, please, please make the mid/lite Ultimate in a high neck! I love the weight and denier of this blanket, but cannot understand why it doesn’t come in the high neck, like all the other weights. Otherwise, the entire Ultimate line are great blankets.

Not Guaranteed Replacement
I have the Ultimate sheet and medium blanket from Smartpak and I loved them! Fits my boy perfectly but there is some wear and tear after 5 years. I have called/texted a few times now over 3 weeks and can’t get a straight answer on getting my blankets replaced. I finally went ahead and bought from and different brand, very disappointed in smartpak.

I will never buy another Turnout!
This is my second Ultimate blanket purchase and I can't believe I didn't know about these blankets until last year. They fit beautifully, launder easily, and any damage to them is covered within 10 years. My OTTB stays dry and warm all year round with his Ultimates, (And his Deluxe turnouts from the past, which are still in great shape, too!). I cannot say enough good things about these blankets.

Shoulder rubs!
I bought this for my new horse. Never have I experienced shoulder rubs on a horse before! My only complaint about the blanket. Wish I had just bought Amigos instead. Not sure the 10y guarantee is worth my horse in so much pain at the expense of being warm. I was so excited for these blankets too.

Wonderful, durable, stylish blanket!
My gelding absolutely LOVES his SmartPak Ultimate Turnout Blanket. I ordered it in the medium weight one. It fits him fabulously, survived him running around like an idiot with his paddock-mates, and hasn't shifted, ripped, or been destroyed yet. I also LOVE that it is backed by the 10-year warranty. It's worth the money. It's perfect for the Michigan winters that we get. My friends raved about the SmartPak warranty and the quality of the blankets and knowing I have a bit of a destroyer on my hands, I wanted something that I know will last.

Super Pretty, but Not Very Durable
I have the ultimate blanket and the sheet in black with grey and royal trim. They are BEAUTIFUL! But sadly the T-Rex next to my horse taught me real quick they aren’t very durable. They rip pretty easily, even the underneath side somehow has holes.

Great except for 1 thing
adjustable so that it will fit my broad chested Hanoverian, the velcro will not close if you The sheet needs to be adjusted to the tightest buckle hole in the front in order for the velcro to be engaged. On my horse where the straps need to be adjusted to the second widest buckle hole the velcro patches do not overlap. I can only guess how gross this will be when he starts shedding in the spring. I really wish Smartpak could come up with a solution to this problem.

My horse has the Ultimate line in a sheet and light turnout with a detached sheet hood, a medium combo neck, and a heavy combo neck. I love the 10-year warranty and have no complaints with the quality or fit! The combo neck did rub out my horse’s mane, and I wish the tail flap was longer and didn’t stick almost straight out.

Easy to put on; nice heavy weight for MT winters
Bought the Ultimate Turnout (Heavy weight), size 78 blanket, for my 22+ year old quarter horse diagnosed with Cushing's Disease this year. I use it when the weather gets below 20 degrees. She has worn it for 3 winters with no damage, wear or tear, and she loves for me to put it on her. It's probably a bit big for her, but it covers more.

Runs small!
This blanket is easily two inches smaller than my Smartpak classic sheet in the exact same size. I measured my mare just to confirm, she measured 76”, but the 78” is too small. I didn’t try it on her, assuming that it would be the same as her sheet, so she wore it and it got dirty before I saw how small it was. I would say order at least the next size up!

Can't beat the guarantee
I'll admit, was bought JUST for the 10 year guarantee. Even Rambo doesn't compare. I wanted a blanket that would last and the truth is none of them do anymore. Our old 20yr ago Rambos are still kicking fine but any brand we've bought in the last 5 years is crap quality. I will say, these don't last either- main problems every SP blanket I've had is with the nylon clips on the chest and the piping/stitching coming loose on the tail flap. They seem to hold up well otherwise but again, it's not an issue because SP will exchange it when this happens! Definitely a defect v. my horse, but no other manufacturer makes it as stressless as SP to get the issue fixed. I highly recommend having a spare though because shipping it back to them and getting the exchange in does take lightyears. Last year my horse was without a sheet for 2 weeks during the exchange, so lesson learned haha. Best customer service, and surprisingly good fit! True to size.

Doesn't last long
My horse is 25 and lives with a very calm group. This is the third sheet in two years. He's not a rough horse, nor are the others, but this sheet rips pretty easily. The buckles have ripped, the shoulder gusset ripped. Let's see how long #3 holds up. At least they stand by their product and have sent me new ones right away. I also like that they'll repair the ripped sheet and donate it.

Very nice
I’m a big fan of this blanket so far. I have two other SmartPak sheets that I like so I figured I would try a medium weight. I think the medium is my favorite fit on my 17.2hh IDSH gelding. He’s a big boy and has a very deep girth so blankets are frequently too short on him. This one is just long enough, which is honestly better than the majority of brands. The color is more muted than pictured, but still looks nice. My only complaint thus far is that everythinggggg seems to stick to this blanket. I’m not sure if it just needs to be washed, or what the dealio is, but hair, shavings, dust are all super attracted to it. This isn’t a deal breaker, but a bit strange. Overall, I would buy again!

Truly is the Ultimate
I bought this sheet 2 or 3 yrs ago as an experiment for my OTTB. I live in the very rainy PNW where it literally rains hard for days/weeks. We have atmospheric rivers, plus storms. I just called and replaced my sheet due to the lining of the shoulder simply wearing out. The sheet has remained waterproof (I do double up the sheets in heavy rains) and never had any problems with stitching, leg straps, rubbing, etc. The warranty was amazing and fast! No hassles. I have recommended this sheet to all my friends!

Heavy Winter Turnout Blanket
I bought this outstanding blanket just in time for some bitterly cold weather this winter. My senior gelding is loving its warmth. I also bought the matching neck rug, which I also love. This blanket is rugged, durable & warm with a really attractive design. I highly recommend it!

Great blankets and great customer service
I have these blankets on all 3 of my horses. My thoroughbred has had his the longest, and his is still in great condition. My warmbloods have each managed to break the bottom chest straps on theirs, and I used the online chat to figure out how the warranty works. We have two new blankets on the way!

Perfect Blanket!
I purchased this blanket approximately 1 month ago and has proven to be an excellent blanket It fits my 16H AQHAAppendix with ease, the box skirts around the legs provide ease of movement, the straps around the belly and back legs are a generous yet secure fit And the front adjustable buckles lets me secure it on her with comfort and no undue sliding of the blanket. The blanket material quality is excellent, A perfect blanket! She wears it so well!!!
