The SmartPak Ultimate Trifecta Turnout Blanket is the ultimate blanket for any season! With a convenient 3-in-1 layering design, it lets you go from a lightweight sheet to a super warm heavyweight in seconds. You'll get a 0g waterproof outer shell, a 100g medium/light blanket liner, and a 200g medium liner, giving you the flexibility to go from 0 to 300g depending on the weather. Quick-clips and sturdy hook-and-loop closure straps securely and easily attach each layer.

Like all SmartPak Ultimate Turnout Blankets, the outer shell features a 1050D ballistic nylon outer that resists rubs and tears, making it the ideal choice for a horse that is tough on blankets. Plus, it’s also waterproof and breathable to keep your horse warm and dry with a nylon lining for maximum comfort. A tail flap provides extra protection against the elements. Deep shoulder gussets give your horse the freedom of movement he needs while fleece wither padding reduces rubs. Two low-cross surcingles and nylon/elastic leg straps allow for a secure and comfortable fit. Plus, quick-clip front closures are easily adjustable and allow you to take your horse’s blanket on and off effortlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jamup8209 from Worth the price. Looks great and convenient to use I bought this last October. I love the blanket. The liners are easy to add or remove as needed. The outer shell stays cleaner than other blankets. I use it on my stallion. He is wears the blanket in his stall and during turnout in cold weather. Recently the blanket was torn while he was in his pasture. The hassle free return and warranty is everything it claims to be. A simple phone call and a new replacement is on the way in the mail. Definitely will purchase again for other horses. I put this blanket above my Rambo blankets for ease of use and equal in quality. Don’t let the price cause hesitation. This blanket is worth the price.

After buying multiple blankets that had surcingles that disintegrated after a year or so, I finally bit the bullet and bought this blanket system with its 10-year guarantee. It fits perfectly and is well made. Really nice features like the closures and choice of liners make it handy and versatile. I only wish I had bought this blanket years sooner.

It is very easy to add on the liners or take them off and it arrived exactly when it was supposed to. My mare is very warm and happy now!

I bought it for my 10 year old OTTB who is very skinny in the shoulders but very long bodied. It’s very convenient from going from a lite weight to a heavy weight in one minute. I was a little skeptical with the outer layer not being a 1200 denier, but so far I’m had it for almost two months and is holding up perfectly. It lasted a whole day of rain and wind and my horse was still dry as can be. It was a little pricy, but it does come with three layers and is convenient so highly recommend.
