The SmartPak Ultimate High Neck Turnout Blanket features a high neck design that provides extra coverage from the elements and prevents pressure on the withers for a more comfortable fit, especially on horses with high withers. It’s also our toughest waterproof sheet yet with a 1050D ballistic nylon outer that resists rubs and tears, making it the ideal choice for a horse that is tough on blankets. Plus, it’s also waterproof and breathable to keep your horse warm and dry and has a nylon lining for maximum comfort. Additionally, a tail flap provides extra protection against the elements. Next, deep shoulder gussets give your horse the freedom of movement he needs. Two low-cross surcingles and nylon/elastic leg straps allow for a secure and comfortable fit. Wishing all my blankets were ultimates
This is a replacement for one I bought several years back that managed to get damaged. Smart pac does honor their replacement warranty. I’ve got an older horse that doesn’t care for neck rugs or hoods, this is perfect for him. Gives more coverage than a regular blanket and keeps him dry during our wet/icy/snow days. Thank you.

Love this blanket
Love this blanket, it is very adjustable and is a great weight. I do wish it came in size 90", as the 87" is a little tight on my big guy, but it's the absolute best blanket around with the 10 year warranty.

Really happy with these blankets

Perfect Heavy Weight Blanket
This is the 2nd high neck heavy weight blanket I have purchased! I bought it for my TB Mare and it kept her so warm even on our 0 degree days. I bought another for my WB Gelding and it fits him just as good!

Terrible Quality
Replaced the first one I bought after one of the surcingles got ripped off in turnout. Only worn maybe 10 times. SmartPak replaced, and surcingle and leg strap ripped off after only 2nd wear. Terrible quality. Great SmartPak replaces them but I don't have time for the hassle. Going back to my favorite brand WeatherBeeta.

Replacement Sheet
I had received an ultimate sheet as a gift and my young horse wrecked the inside. SmartPak replaced no questions asked. It was replaced with a 78 which was the original sheet size however the new 78 was big so SmartPak sent a 75 which fit so much better.

Love these!
Excellent quality, well designed blanket. I love the way it fits my high withered guy; the high neck relieves pressure and there’s also no rub through the shoulders. The amazing warranty gives me piece of mind. I like it so much, I bought another in a different weight.

Own one in every weight
I love these blankets so much that four of our horses have a blanket of each density. The high neck prevents shoulder rubbing on hard to fit (TB, WB and QH). I don't have issues of it ever rubbing their mane.
Smartpak is absolutely incredible with their blanket warranty! I recommend these blankets to everyone. I gave a 4 star on quality because horses hard on blankets have ripped the outer lining but with Smartpak's warranty, it's worth every penny.

Great Blanket!

Fits perfectly!
I have two horses, and both are decked out in this blanket. The higher neck stops it from creating a pressure point above the withers, the quality is phenomenal, and the 10 year warranty is without par. These blankets last years, wearing them 24/7, always outside in the elements. Cannot recommend them enough!

Super durable!
This was actually a replacement for a blanket that got torn. SmartPak customer service was amazing and they sent this one out very quickly. This has held up to my ridiculously mouthy 5 yr old paint gelding. For those reviews complaining about something that went wrong all they need to do is contact SmartPak. Their customer service is phenomenal! They will do everything they can to make it right. The blanket has a 10 year guarantee. Instead of complaining about something breaking you should contact customer service (let’s face it no matter how well made horses still break things).

Lasted two seasons only (and we are in the Mid-Atlantic, so the heavyweight does not get a lot of use!) before one of the front buckles broke. Not impressed!!

Great value but not as tough as I was hoping
Unfortunately, despite being advertised as the toughest blanket Smartpak sells, the medium-weight I bought last me about 2 weeks. My gelding's pasture mate put a large rip in the body of the blanket. I do really like the fit of the high neck and the blanket appeared to be high quality overall, just not as indestructible as indicated. I'll be swapping it for a brand new one per the guarantee, but honestly were it not for Smartpak's excellent customer service and the value of being able to get a brand new blanket I'm not sure I'd be getting another.
