Fits perfectly!
This halter fits like it was made for my horse. He is a Paso Fino, and the Cob size is perfect on him. I was worried that the noseband would be too big on him, but is not. the soft fleece on the nose and head piece should prevent rubs, and look awfully handsome on him.

Bought this cob size padded halter for my retired polo pony - comfortable over the sensitive poll area. Fits perfectly, soft, great color and easy on/off with the finger friendly throatlatch snaps! Love the adjustable noseband. very satisfied!

Love the fleece padding!
Comfort is key! I love this halter for its soft fleece padding on the noseband and crown piece. My senior suffers from seasonal itchiness and the added fleece helps protect his sensitive areas and has also proved to be durable to rubbing and halter tag with friends! Finally, the crown piece and chin strap are adjustable allowing for a great fit.

These halters fit pretty well and give comfy cover where others tend to rub thin skin chestnuts. Much better than using fuzzies for protection, which is what I was hoping to accomplish.

Pretty, but not the quality I expected
I generally find that the SmartPak products are good quality so I was more than a little surprised that this halter isn't more heavy duty and that it feels cheap. The nylon halter portions are not as heavy duty as the typical halter I can buy at the feed store. I found that the halter runs large - the horse I bought it for should easily wear a Horse size but I'm on the very top hole and it hangs low on her face.

Runs big no chaffing
We recently moved to a barn that keeps halters on in turnout. My mare get rubs easily and this fit the bill. Glad I listened to other reviews on sizing, she's right in between a cob and horse size, I sized down and glad I did horse would have been too big.

Great lightweight halter!
My horse needs to leave his halter on during turnout and he started getting rubs on his nose so I tried many different styles (all breakaways that's a must) and this is the winner. His rubs are starting to go away, it's so much lighter than most halters and the padded noseband really helps.

Great halter, good fit, but the fleece nose band is not fleece around a nylon strap. The fleece stretches so much my horse can get his nose out of the halter!!

This halter is very nice - the padding is so soft, and the breakaway is well-constructed. However, it runs very big. My Appendix QH normally wears a horse/ full size, and even on the tightest hole, this was enormous on him. I had to return and try cob size.

Very poor quality
I am really disappointed in the poor quality of this halter. It arrived promptly, carefully packed; when I removed it from the plastic bag I saw that it was assembled backwards; next, while handling it, I noticed a sharp seam end on the inside of the crown, which would have been positioned right behind an ear. The holes on the throat latch and crown piece were not in a straight line. The first hole on the crown piece was on the left edge of the strap, and the last hole was right of center. Needless to say, I returned it, and I do give SmartPak credit for their quick online response to my return and crediting my card. They also did not require me to return the halter, but I have to say it will probably just go in the trash, as I would have safety concerns about using it at all.

Great value super soft
I bought this for my young horse in training. I was impressed with the softness of the nose and poll area. I get compliments every time I’m in the barn. Going to buy for my others. It’s been outside on a hook now for 3 weeks and it’s still soft and is holding up very well to the weather.

Favorite Paddock Halter
I use this for my paint mare while turned out in the paddock. It doesn't cause rubs on her face which is a big plus. I also love the turquoise color. It is a true breakaway halter as she recently did get caught on something (or another horse grabbed it) and it broke loose. I am buying another one today.

Nice but runs quite big
I like the fleece padding and the halter overall. However if I would order it again I would need to get the Cob size due to the Horse/Full is huge. My horse usually wears Horse/Full but I am on the last hole and it is still a bit big.
