Really nice blanket!
I bought this stable blanket a few weeks ago to use under a turnout blanket for extra warmth since my horse has a full body clip. The quality is wonderful and it fits perfectly. It is a really nice blanket and I would definately recommend it to everyone.

Excellent value !
I bought this 100 gram stable blanket for my horse who will be fully body clipped . The weight is perfect for the temperature for now ( I purchased the mid and heavy weight too ) . I love the rich navy with the silver and burgundy piping . The inside is smooth and very soft . The outside is flexible but sturdy and I appreciate the thick fluffy padding in the wither area. The chest hardware is very sturdy and has velcro as well to help secure the chest area. Also it does have nice elastic leg straps . Overall , I am very impressed with the quality of this 100 gram stable blanket . I am buying another back up while this one is in the wash , that is how much I like this blanket . Great job Smart Pak ..... you have another winner in my book !

Needed to replace D rings for leg straps
The rear Dee rinds for the leg straps (at tail) are attached to the very bottom of the blanket causing the leg straps to hang below hocks. I had to see a new pair of Dee rings higher up so the horse did not get tangled up.

Perfect fit, great quality
I use the 100 weight as a stable blanket at night in the barn, then in the morning we throw her medium weight or light weight turnout over it for extra warmth. The fit is perfect and the blanket is so versatile.

Nice durable blanket . My mare has a long shoulder so I think that causes the wither part of the blanket to go about 6-8 inches higher up her neck.
Otherwise I am happy with the fit.

Great quality and fit
I have bought several of these stable blankets for our wide built quarter horses. They fit well and have held up very well. Our horses are hard on blankets and so far so good. A+ on quality and fit. I have owned about every brand of blanket out there and Smart Pak brand is at the top of my favorites. And you cannot beat their pricing!

Like the blanket
I purchased this blanket ( the medium weight) last year and I was hoping to get another year out of it. It was used on a daily basis but seemed to not wear well. Last year the piping separated from the blanket which I really don' care about. I started to use it again this year but the inside lining of the blanket seems to have started to split and tear (some on the seam and some just on the material itself. I fist accused my horse of rough play in the stall but as the last week or so it has started in places he can't reach. I would like to try another one because the outside of the blanket is beautiful and it fits like a glove. Hoping it was just a mis-made one.I feel this is not a Smarkpak issue, just a blanket problem.

Love this blanket!
I got this sheet for my guy, as an underlayer after I clipped him for the winter, and it was awesome! He stays warm and toasty, but never over heats! The girls at the barn love it too, because they only have to change one layer when he comes in and out!

A nice layer
I ordered this as an underlayer due to the recent polar vortex. It of course warmed up before the blanket arrived but it fit well over all and I'm ready for the next winter blast. It's also attractive enough that I suspect I will break it out to use as a stable blanket for any trips we make.
I did see others caution about sizing. I ordered an 81 for my horse who wears an 81 Weatherbeeta. It looks good. For those who want zero visible around the rump of the blanket, they may want to get a size down but I think that's too small, considering horses put there rump to frigid winds and I want enough back there to provide a layer of warmth to his hindquarters.
My one complaint is that the hindleg straps are way too low. I'm going to look into raising them as I do think they're a risk for stepping through them. I may be able to do it myself thanks to an industrial strength sewing machine but others may need to consider paying out for it, which to me does decrease the value/increase the price. That's why I've bumped back to 4 stars.

Well made as are all the SmartPak blankets!
I bought this blanket to use in the barn as I also have the Ultimate blanket for turnout. It is very well made - however, I wish the hip area had more darts so it would conform to my horse's rear better. He is not small hipped and the rear of the blanket kind of hangs like a tent. The shoulder of the blanket seems to be a bit
smaller than the Ultimate blanket too. But this blanket is warm and will serve it's purpose.

Nice for the price
I purchased this blanket thinking it was going to be a lighter version of SmartPak's Ultimate Heavy one. My mistake. It is not of the same quality. This is in no way SmartPak's fault. I'm sure I would like this blanket very much if I was not comparing it to the Ultimate, which is an excellent quality blanket. This one is nice, and I trust it will serve it's purpose well. I have not had the opportunity to use it yet, but it fits nicely when I tried it on both of my geldings.

Nice stable blanket
I bought these blankets to replace ones I had that the horses seemed to find itchy. The horses seem happier in these blankets due to the smooth nylon lining. The fit is good on both my compact warmblood and tall/big boned TB.

Nice blanket
I like the way this blanket fits. My mares shoulders tend to get rubbed but so far no rubs. The leg straps got stretched out almost immediately so I removed them but otherwise I’m happy!

Very nice quality blanket
I bought this to layer under turnout sheet/turnout blanket. My horse is out 24/7. I've used it the last several night because it's been very cold. Horse just moved from South FL, so needed to keep him warm. It's working out very well and he's toasty warm under there in the morning!
